I'm thinking this should be in the speculation thread but 1) I can't find it, and 2) I didn't know if it was okay to post spoilers in your speculations in that thread, so with that said: In the preview with Evan and Mark standing in the middle of no where and Evan screams, do you think it is because Brad is the winner and Evan is pissed (which I would be too)? I think I remember seeing somewhere that someone said that clip was from the final challenge. I don't know, maybe I'm over thinking it.
I wonder why no one replied to this?Anyway it would be cool to see Brad win but I remember reading somewhere in this thread that Evan wins.Though I might be wrong.
Is this not how you win on a reality television show?
Is there no way to win a competition through honest means, through your own talent and skill? In shows like Top Chef or Project Runway, most of the time, it's individual talent that sees you through to the end. I realize that the same thing can't be said for this show, since the format for this show is different, but my point is that not all people act this way in competitive reality shows.
It is a game, not an extended camping trip among friends. Honestly, if you lined up cast friends in some pecking order before the challenge began, you could just hand out checks and not bother with the travel, miserable weather and bad food.
Doh, I think I'm being a little dense here, but I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say, but I think I understand what you're getting at.
I just want to make this clear, I don't mind friend alliances on this show. I'm not even sure how prevalent alliances were on this show before Evan and Kenny started openly manipulating people towards their causes. I'm not going to be naive here and assume that there weren't some type of friendly alliances during some of the early competitions, but it's obviously gotten bigger and more cut throat recently.
I don't care if people have open or secretive alliances because it certainly does make for entertainment, but I think it's another thing to emotionally manipulate someone, or to knowingly make a promise you don't intend to keep to a friend. I can't say how much of this is true about Rachel because I obviously haven't seen all the episodes. However, from a lot of the hints that have been dropped around here, it certainly seems like she's playing the game pretty nasty. It's just too bad that so many people who do it the this way are the ones to profit, but I guess it's the nature of the beast.
Agreed, even Ryan said on this past episode the only person you can trust on these shows is yourself. Heelin', the people that win end up being the people who played the hardest, the meanest, and the most deceptive.
I would disagree. I'm not sure how alliances have come to be such a focus on this show, but I've been watching since the very beginning of these challenges, and it didn't use to be so underhanded. I know it makes for great ratings, but the spirit of the show was more about the competition between whatever two groups were battling. Initially it was RR/RW and the pride of the show they represented. Obviously the format of the show has changed from its origins, and I do like what we have now, but it doesn't mean that I like the way the game is played by some of the people.
Wasn't it Gauntlet 3 that Frank, Johanna, Jillian etc that won? From what I saw, and I think many agree, the hardest, meanest, and most deceptive people didn't win then.

When there are clear cut rules and a "judge" picks if you stay or go home, that is not a drama filled reality show IMO. In the Duel you need to lie, cheat, and claw your way to the top if you want to win.

Someone did write that Evan wins, but the question is: Do you trust that source given that someone else said Brad won?
I didn't reply to the "faceless'" comment since I've not heard anything from cast or crew putting that scene into context. It would all be speculation.
Personally, I put no faith in the editing of the trailer to draw a single conclusion from it.
Who does Evan face in the next duel? Is it Nehimiah or Davis?According to the Dailies Evan tells Nemo that if hes runing things why is he going into the next one.

I was going to post my post in the speculation thread but I didn't know if it was okay to put speculations that came from spoilers in that thread. And I was just asking a question, so I wasn't exactly saying that's what I think happened, but rather asking if it would appropriate to think that. And if you mean me when you said "Do you trust that source given that someone else said Brad won?", again, I never said he did win, just asking.
This is more speculation than anything else, but in one of the Dailies from a few days ago, when Brittni was talking about hooking up with Aneesa and Rachel, Rachel told her to unpack her stuff...does that mean she's in the next Duel?

Could be, I think she is going in against Brooke.
Could be, I think she is going in against Brooke.
I could understand Davis and Brooke being the last two left this week, and Davis guns for Evan and Brooke will chose Brittani. This is based on the previews, and speculations of the spoilers, which can cause problems.
As for someone mentioned that you cannot win a game without honesty is crap. Ala Evelyn Smith of The Island - she was honest, strong, and patience, and seized her opportunities accordingly. She screwed no one, and let the alliance screw each other.
The Duel is one of the easiest social games of them all imo. As an outcast, you win a few challenges and duels, people will be intimidated. Example - Beth of Duel 1, the so called power players despised her, and yet they were afraid of her. She lost on a DQ clearly after she smoked Svetlana in Push Me who quit during that Duel. You can only assure a vote, and if you fail to win immunity, as an alliance ring leader, one can find himself/herself being called in many times by outsiders if the outsiders have any sense. Truth is is that with the Duel format, the best chance you may have at winning at the end is to take down a formidable opponent in a duel.
Sorry, I tried looking through alot of pages but still can't find an asnwer, maybe it doesn't exist but..
do we know who sent home Kimberly and Eric?
I would like to know who takes out Easy.
I would like to know who takes out Easy.
In my opinion, every Duel but Push Over would be easy to defeat Big Easy in.
If I had to take a guess, someone in the big alliance probably went for him or vice versa.
I would like to know who takes out Easy.
I have been wondering that the whole time, after G3, there was no way he was making it to the finals.
I have been wondering that the whole time, after G3, there was no way he was making it to the finals.
Aftr G3, my strategy would have been to keep him around for the finals, to ensure myself the win.
I wonder who took him out too though, because I could still see him easily beating some of the guys that are still left.
I can tell you it's not Isaac or Nehemiah...
Well I could have guessed this. I am just trying to figure out if Easy would be the one left last or someone else, because then it would be much easier to tell who went against who, etc.
Well I could have guessed this. I am just trying to figure out if Easy would be the one left last or someone else, because then it would be much easier to tell who went against who, etc.
I would assume he's the last one left, because I think the guys are probably thinking it'd be a crap shoot picking him.
Well we know he doesn't outlast Derek, MJ, Brad, Evan, or Mark.
or Dunbar...
And I'm really hoping that Nehemiah goes before Isaac.
Forgot about Dummybear.
I thought I read somewhere that Nehemiah barely had a chance to unpack before he lost in the Duel...and that the order goes Nehemiah, Isaac (vs Landon), Eric.
I didn't really read spoilers, but to help out a bit: Isaac definitely does not go home next episode since he was shown in the mission where they have to hold on to a girl and let go of them and they swing. It looks scary to say the least haha.
Nedermeyer has to be the next to go then.
For the girls, maybe Katie?
Katie's a good bet. Ruthie and Kim aren't far behind.
Please have an outburst before you leave Katie! I need drama! LOL.
From what I heard, Katie had quite the happy outburst when she returned from NZ :)

I'd still like to see that outburst. Sadely this outburst could mean the end of challenge-Katie
