Yeah I agree. She needs to focus more at the end. Yeah, I agree, but I think that Duel was honestly terrible, all around. Although, an Aneesa/Tori showdown would be quite amazing!
Yeah it would be a great thing to see them going at it but it would depend on the duel if Aneesa could pull through. Tori kicking *** in the duel would be a good thing to see too. And Svet was impressive in the Duels though despite things tipping in her favor...she made it to the end.
I think that would probably be one of my favorite Duels ever!
No I agree. But outside of endurace, I would venture to say she is heads and tails stronger than Tori.
I think Aneesa probably weighs more than Tori, but that doesn't translate into being stronger. Tori is, I think, very athletic outside of the challenges. In Ev's Duel 2 blogs she said she thought Tori was "pound for pound" the strongest woman there, though she gave Rachel other advantages. And I trust Ev's assessment.
I definitely think Tori is incredibly strong. Incredibly. And I trust Ev as she would personally know, but I get the feeling that Aneesa is stronger, but just brute strength. Not by much though.
i keep forgetting, who won between Evan, Mark and brad?
Interesting. That I will take into consideration. I just think that in any Duel besides Spot On or Duel Pole Dancing, Aneesa would and could take her. I don't think Aneesa fades at the end GW, I just think at that point competition is too stiff for her. In my opinion, she had Svetlana beat if it weren't for such a stupid Duel. I guess we will just have to wait and see the circumstances later on.
If it is not clear at the end of the season, I'll give the necessary "correction" to the edit at that time, but in a future episode, Tori will emotionally check out of this challenge. At that point, any discussion of Tori vs. anyone will become pointless.
Well thanks for the heads up V. Nice to know there could be something valuable we may not see.
I keep forgetting, who won between Evan, Mark and Brad?
1) It's "among," not "between." 2) Opinions differ. Hope springs eternal for all of them. 3) Did you suddenly decide to care? LOL If you thought you knew or were told before... good for you. 4) If you are patient enough, someone will come along and answer your question so they can impress you. I can't wait to see who that may be.

I expected better of her in the individual challenges thus far. She is middle of the road. I still say that at her best, lb for lb she is stronger than any of the female contestants there and could have won most of those duels with focus.
When you check out emotionally then it is hard to focus and you can be strong but at that point if you don't want it bad enough...then you're on the way out. Tori definitely could hold her own though with any of the girls.
Tori is a strong girl, wasn't she the main reason why Veronica couldn't get back on the RV on RRVR? Grrr
Tori is a strong girl, wasn't she the main reason why Veronica couldn't get back on the RV on RRVR? Grrr
Yes, and on Gauntlet 3, Evelyn said that Tori was the only person she worried about going against.
Yes, and on Gauntlet 3, Evelyn said that Tori was the only person she worried about going against.
Wow..that is huge. If Evelyn was worried, I would say that Tori is one hell of a competitor!
Wow..that is huge. If Evelyn was worried, I would say that Tori is one hell of a competitor!
I have to agree...Evelyn is one of...if not the toughest girl on there and if she was worried then Tori is not someone to take lightly. Course some of it depends on frame of mind and if she isn't emotionally there later then that might be trouble for her.
So from what i understand Tonya and Rachel are now friends. However, Veronica and Tonya are still enemies. Just like Veronica and Rachel are now enemies. Is part of the reason Veronica/Rachel aren't friends because of Tonya?
So from what i understand Tonya and Rachel are now friends. However, Veronica and Tonya are still enemies. Just like Veronica and Rachel are now enemies. Is part of the reason Veronica/Rachel aren't friends because of Tonya?
Your perceptions would not be accurate. Tonya does not maintain contact with but one or two people. You should not confuse Rachel's game play on The Island with actual affection for Tonya. Tonya is well past Veronica's past behavior toward her. Just as she hopes to leave The Island behind, she is willing to offer the same pass to Veronica. How Veronica acts will guide Tonya's views toward her. Rachel and Veronica's enmity toward each other has nothing to do with Tonya, who has been largely invisible to the reality community for about two years, except for her brief visit to Panama last year.

I understand now that Veronica/Rachel being enemies has nothing to do with Tonya. But why would Rachel befriend Tonya on the island? Maybe because Jen was friends with her?
Oh,I see what you're saying somewhat V1. I understand now that Veronica/Rachel being enemies has nothing to do with Tonya. But why would Rachel befriend Tonya on the island? Maybe because Jen was friends with her?
Rachel's initial strategy going into The Island was to be as friendly as possible with everyone, especially including Tonya, since she had no alliances with the new power players. You also didn't see the off-camera attempts to demonstrate her physical capabilities by, among other things, demonstrating her ability to do push ups in front of everyone, while attempting to make it look casual. This later part of strategy was quickly countered by Evelyn who easily did about 200 of them herself.
I don't know a single cast member who has been on a show with both of them who would agree with you.
I understand, what confuses me is why does Aneesa, makes it far on this challenges? I mean why didn't Beth wanted to face her on Beach brawl on the gauntlet II? How did she make it far on the duel? Beating Paula,Robin and Diem? I understand that she lost to Svetlana since she was unable to lift the logs. Also how does she makes it far this season? I know her partner MJ goes home before her? Can you please tell me V1 I always wanted to know how she makes it far in this games?

I have a theory and that is that it's because she's one of the bigger girls there. For the record I am NOT saying she's fat, she clearly isn't by any stretch of the imagination. But it could be similar to an Eric situation where everyone thinks he's dead weight but most people are scared to challenge him one on one because there are a number challenges where they couldn't beat him just because he's bigger so they don't even want to take that chance. Plus she may not give a damn about the team missions but when Anessa's **** is on the line she (like Katie) will fight like hell to stay there which makes her dangerous one on one. Also, to me she seems like a sheep as we saw the other night. If the power alliance tells her to vote a certain way she does it. As long as she's not the outsider they're trying to get rid of she'll do whatever they tell her to - unlike Ruthie who's a wildcard that does whatever she wants.

I'll do that at the end of my effort to stay on topic here. In my opinion, Aneesa is the benefactor of very good fortune on the Duel II. Two or three better performers suffer from a combination of bad luck and "I want out" syndrome, which leaves her when she finds herself toward the end of the game where the better players rule the day. As for G2, Beth had absolutely no problem in facing Aneesa in any of the other events; however, Beth had already told production that she would not do Beach Brawl because she believed it was intentionally degrading to women. The tops they were given were intentionally undersized. It was clearly known to the other cast that as a working stripper, Aneesa had no problem losing her top during this challenge, and given the opportunity she would pull down/off Beth's top. There was no way Beth would participate in any Gauntlet where production designed the event hoping for that very thing. In the end, BMP had to recognize that their gauntlet design held the clear risk of being identified as sexual harassment under California labor law which governs the cast contract. Beth's mission performance on Duel I which followed included not only taking on all the women in first mission where all the women were tethered together and defeating Jodi by easily throwing her into the water in Push Over.

Honestly, with the exception of a game Tori, I think she has a 60% (Push Over, Back Off, and The Elevator) chance to take down anyone else on this challenge because of her size and leg strength. Her past victories have been somewhat impressive to me considering her so called poor endurance. As for G2, that would have been a good match between Beth and Aneesa had it taken place. On Duel 1, everyone was scared to face Beth which is why she was never last and if it had not been for a rigged duel, the outcome would have been much different imo. V1 mentioned that she benefitted on this challenge from a few top dogs wanting out, but I believe she also benefits from the fear of Paula, Diem, and Rachel wanting to take her on in a Duel. The same luxury that Landon has. I will say this, that Mark Long has definitely impressed me, and if there was 1 or 2 people I'd be reluctant in picking a duel opponent, he would definitely fall into that category. tjhallow & producer88 - no hard feelings, but I also believe that being part of a huge alliance can mask the viewers perspective of someone's weakness and they could be edited to be perceived stronger than they really are. This is why I carry such a high opinion of Evelyn. She beat males on 2 occasions in potential elimination rounds, in probably the worse of conditions in challenge history. It's one thing to do well on individual challenges, and that is commendable, however, when faced with the added pressure of win or go home, aside from the physical ability, you have to be mentally prepared. And with that, in a nutshell is why I am yet convinced of Rachel's true capabilities .......... however, I acknowledge the fact that she is a very strong competitor. Very strong
