Alias, I need to get up on. I have a place to buy the dvds at Borders but its a matter of getting the initiative.
I recommend Alias to e v e r y o n e! It's so good!
So far, there's no shows I really want to jump into next year. I'm not watching Outsourced cuz I'm ****** about Parks and Recs. There was 0 reason to mess with NBC's Thurs night lineup. Undercovers might be OK..but I'm not so sure I want to get involved in another Abrams show. He always creates rad stuff, then he leaves and it always goes to ****.
Anyone else completely excited for this like I am? I've watched this trailer way too many times but I think it looks really good.
The four-and-a-half-minute trailer for Frank Darabont’s live-action adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead...will launch Sunday, October 31st. That's right, Halloween night. And the first episode will be supersized to 90 minutes. The series will premiere during AMC's Fearfest, the network's annual marathon of thriller and horror films. I am not sure. It is on AMC, which means high quality - but is it the new True Blood? I doubt it.
I'm not a zombie person. Of course, I wasn't a vampire person either and I love True Blood.
Speaking of AMC, anyone watching Rubicon? I was thinking about it but passed and guess I'll wait for the jury and get it via Netflix.
I'm looking forward to The Event and will be watching the premiere of Hawaii Five-0 (because the theme is addictive.)
I'll tune into others, but nothing jumps out at me just yet.

I am a zombie person so it already has that going for it for me. I don't think it is supposed to be the new True Blood though. It's not really supposed to be campy like True Blood it is supposed to be gorey/bloody though.
I've watched the last two episodes of Rubicon and I like it. I missed the first two and had to be filled in so I get a little lost now and then trying to remember who is who and how they are connected. I think you would like it though but definitely watch from the beginning.
I haven't decided about The Event yet. I've only seen a preview or two of it so far so I don't know that much about it.
I'll probably pass on Hawaii Five-O unless I hear good things about it. Not really my thing.
Blue Bloods looks interesting. I would think they will move this show around if necessary to get it some good ratings or position it with Friday Night Lights mid-season. Surely it was a huge investment. I like Will Estes as an actor and am glad to see him back on TV since American Dreams and that sub movie. Cannot stand Tom Selleck so it is a 7-10 split for me.
I know! I had a major dvr recording session yesterday to make sure I had all my shows, new and old, ready to record. I'm so excited to have Chuck, Castle and HIMYM back!
Castle tonight!! Modern Family Wednesday!! GREY'S ON THURSDAY!!!
Yes, there are many more, but these I'm especially looking forward to.
I love this week in television.

I'm really looking forward to Grey's, especially after that intense finale last season. I'm also looking forward to Big Bang Theory, Glee, and The Office. I also have more, but I can't think of them at the moment :D
There are 3 new show's I am interested this season, but don't have time to watch!
B can you tell me how Hawaii 5-0 and The Event is?
Also, is anyone watching Mike and Molly? If so, can you tell me how that is?

I LOVE Rubicon! It's a great show, def worth giving it a chance.... If you've got IO, you can still get all the episodes free on demand...
I can see some of these shows lasting. Well, Los Angeles Law & Order, Blue Bloods that is.
Someone I know who has seen the first few episodes of most of the fall line up said that Blue Bloods is one of the best of the new shows.
Detroit doesn't have a "code 1-8-7." That's California penal code. In Michigan it's actually 750.316.

The next thing I notice are the decent cars the detectives drive.
"This can't be Detroit!"

Detectives finding a fingerprint on a spent bullet casing? Which produced a suspect? This type of forensic work takes weeks -- and in Detroit months -- to complete. In my 10 years in homicide, I had only one fingerprint on a casing come back from the crime lab. It took eight months to get it. By the time I got the results, the killer had already been convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

I noticed in one scene a helicopter in the air. Couldn't have been ours. Budget cuts got rid of them a long time ago.
I recorded it and might give it a shot later today.

I acually did the same thing. I still have to watch that and Supernatural.
Thank The Lord for DVR. :)

I saw it. One thing in the storyline scared me about its prospects, but I otherwise thought it was a good premiere episode.
Did anyone else watch My Generation on ABC? I really liked it!
I recorded it and heard it was pretty good, but when I saw the ratings (it cratered) I quickly deleted it.
It is only going to be around for a few weeks (at best.)
My new method of sampling shows involves seeing the ratings first as a barometer, so I know if it is ok to get attached. ;)
I liked it too!!!! Even if it gets cancelled it was still entertaining and worth watching. Actually when I think about it this doesn't seem like something that would keep my interest over multiple seasons. I think a show like this would do great with a small handful of episodes but if they tried to drag it out for even an entire season I'm pretty sure it would get old and I'd lose interest.
My Generations reminds me a lot of the show, Reunion, that was on Fox a couple of years ago just minus the murder mystery. That show got the axe after 13 episodes.

They could have at least filmed an episode that wrapped everything up. Or maybe even an internet episode that resolved the mystery. At least something.

They might try to save it or work it into the mid-season schedule. Fox is the network who is the worst about just cutting and running. NBC typically tries to do the mid-season swap. ABC & CBS sometimes will stick a little longer with a struggling new show.

I clearly warned you guys to not get attached! ;)
While I'll be watching Cutthroat at 10PM tonight, I'll also be recording Storm Chasers (Discovery.) I got hooked last year during a marathon and can't wait for the new season premiere.
I'm catching the Mythbusters Storm Chaser special right now.
