Vegas has certainly been keen to that image issue since the economy tanked and has been trying to play itself as much more family friendly. Isn't there also some other show already being filmed there--something about Rehab @ The Hard Rock? That would be a content nightmare for the two casts to meet poolside, especially if a fight broke out (not sure how much cast Rehab has as I have never seen it for more than 30 seconds). I don't think it is the partying so much as it would be that whole Vegas atmosphere that people would take issue with. New Orleans is a party city but it is also a ruined city. Wouldn't expect to see the cast out much in Vegas helping others or doing anything else the Vegas I cast did.
A.Never heard of it either but regardless they can always edit out the two shows or do it like how road rules/real world used to cross over. B. We don't know anything about this season. All we have is a title. Give it some time and I'm sure you'll see something different that what you expected.

Interesting Sidenote: (This has been said before, but whatever) Jonna Mannion from RW:Cancun is on the Rehab season airing currently. She was a waitress this past Summer.
Im very surprised there haven't been any random pics of the cast roaming around Vegas if they been filming for 2months already. Maybe next week. :$

Man, that whole Hard Rock lawsuit exchange is absurd. Their fault though. Personally, I would have rather seen them at Hard Rock in Orlando. If they were going to go back to Vegas -- they should have gone to the new Playboy tower at The Palms. I just hope if they are going to have a partying cast that they are HOT. I mean, I want to see Playboy and Playgirl models. I'm still hoping for a season that revolves heavily around the adult film industry (with one cast member who is seriously overweight [much bigger than Callie]). Don't get me wrong -- I'm all about serious seasons...but if BMP is going to do a fun season in Vegas then they better do it right with a hot cast.

LOL. Considering BMP's shameless product placement program, I am sure they would put a **** star in for the right price, but it would likely be the gay for pay variety. I think Vegas is a bad idea. No cast is going to work the magic they would need to make a Vegas season work twice IMO.

But I do want to see a real overweight person on the show, preferably someone who is fat and proud next to some skinny hot people. I think it'd be both funny and somewhat of a good message of being comfortable with yourself. Adult film stars are the way to go. Or someone who has been involved in prostitution. Something like that... A Vegas cast can go either direction...hopefully they get it right.
Your right is always someone else's wrong. In the end, every season is never going to please everyone, but theres always people that find it compelling. For example, I stopped watching this season but apparently the ratings portray a lot of people thought BMP "got it right."

I would be a little afraid that the skinny people would break them (if it was a girl. Knight for instance is not exactly trim) and they would quit and it would become a PR nightmare for BMP. A real amazon chick who is a little larger all the way round who could pound them might be the safer bet.
[strike]is it just me or does it feel like they are starting this season later than usual in the year...?[/strike] Is it just me or does it feel like they are starting this season later than usual?

By "get it right" I really mean "don't fail miserably." lol.
It's not just you because they normally start sometime in July.
Not necessarily. Brooklyn and Hollywood were both August starts. I think that between the hotel as the house and this being the final season under contract there were a few things that slowed production this cycle. I have a feeling they were looking keenly at New Orleans, first to see the ratings and secondly to see where they had succeeded and failed. DC premiered the last week of December. Brooklyn the first week of January. They could bust it out and hit an early January premiere date (heck they rolled out RR: Viewers Revenge Episodes in a matter of days) so they are not horribly off pace. The Challenge is one week later this year, so I'd guess we could see something in line with the Brooklyn premiere date, but who knows...
I could be wrong, but there wan't there a long wait between The Island and Brooklyn?
I could be wrong, but there wan't there a long wait between The Island and Brooklyn?
Ten weeks.

LOL.
I think that between the hotel as the house and this being the final season under contract there were a few things that slowed production this cycle.
Really? I thought the contract went to Season 26.
Really? I thought the contract went to Season 26.
I stand corrected. I was just doing quick math in my head and Cancun came after the announcement, but was being filmed at the time they were given four more seasons and I accidentally counted it. So DC, NO, LV and one more under the current contract.

That means that when the show was renewed after Hollywood, they renewed the show for 2 seasons. And when the ratings came in for Brooklyn, they decided to renew again for 4 more seasons, in addition to its current contract, which ended with Cancun. I'M 95 percent sure my friend Derrick who went to my high school in Saint Louis, is on this season, which is weird cause I don't think he's 21 and its in Vegas... but I know for sure He made it to finals, and now his phone and facebook have been deactivated :/ everyone back home is a buzz about it apparently...
That would be horrible to make it on the show, in a city like Las Vegas, and not be 21!

What's this guy like?
He was the captain of his college wrestling team and he parties alot and he's real religious... oh and he's freakin spoiled, his parents are loaded I think his grandpa invented GermX or something
I've had this kid on my radar for a while...his Facebook has not been deactivated as far as I can see and his most recent Twitter update was 6 hours ago.
Back to Las Vegas? Why MTV?? There are some many great cities; Toronto! Montreal! Vancouver! (I'm not Canadian, I just think it would be a nice alternative) Atlanta! VA Beach! Phoenix! or even Rio de Janeiro (awesome carnivals and party/nightlife!) Some many more great cities out there!

Now that I think about it I'm pretty happy about it being in Vegas, something new for this generation of viewers (which is myself included :))
I really wish they weren't doing another return to season. There are many exciting locales out there that they haven't visited yet! I suppose I wouldn't mind see another Vegas season only because the 1st one was at the Palms. Anyone who has been to Vegas before knows that the Palms is way off of the strip which is where all of the action takes place. Since this season will be filmed at the Hard Rock that is very close to the strip so expect to see some possible casino hopping.
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - The Real World is coming back to Las Vegas. The MTV reality show will start filming at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino next week for their 25th season. One of the most memorable seasons of the The Real World was filmed at The Palms in 2002. The 24th season, filmed in New Orleans, just wrapped up on television.
via It says it will start filming next week!
