Can you be anymore condescending? Sure I know what help means. My point is, that you all are excusing Ayiiia for a problem we just found out about, and there have been several people here (not just Joey) who are professionals or at least experienced in the area of which we speak and they have said it looks like attention seeking as well...but really, that point is moot, because being a cutter does not excuse you from being a *****, or does it?
No it does not excuse her entirely, but him instigating things wth her dosen't help matters. Instead of him trying to add more salt to her wounds he should have tried to get her help. However, he just wanted to make her life harder than it already was. Furthermore, he wanted her to leave on her own. Thus, he wanted her to leave the house without the full experience and bruised mentally.
Then stop. Seriously, I am not sure what show you have been watching, but it is CRYSTAL CLEAR that Ayiiia is just as much if not more than an instigator than Joey. Sure, Joey is being a jerk to her, but she had her chance to bury the hatchet when he apologized on the beach, but she herself said she was not ready to be friends...think about it. Paint it any color you want, but the picture remains the same.
Once again a newbie falling for the edits LOL....did you not see the part when she told him in his face (that's called being real), that she just want to be civil, and she is not SURE (keyword, because it leaves a possibilty in the future) if they can be friends. I want you to give me one just ONE example of Ayiiia instigating a fight. Hay Dios mio dame paciencia Jesus santisimo....:-)

Matter of fact even if she did start fights...what does that have to do with Joey attacking her, when she has done nothing to him? That's what you are not getting. She was cool with Joey and she "buried the hatchet." He brought up the issues right back up just to fight with her, and send her home.
Once again a newbie falling for the edits LOL
Newbie? LOL? Good one :) FYI: I am 45 and have seen every season of the Real World, as well as being somewhat experienced in the art of film making and editing. I am well aware that we only see roughly a dozen hours of the 4 months of taping round the clock. You can quit talking about the "edits" as if you just figured it out yourself as some sort of epiphany yesterday. You might want to take you own advice, and quit making assumptions about someone you know ZERO about.
Thus, he wanted her to leave the house without the full experience and bruised mentally.
That is because she was bruising their experience by being there as several cast members have stated...is that so hard to understand? Besides, it's the Real World and people leaving the show mid season is ALWAYS fun...think Puck, CT, and Trisha...who cares about their experience? I am more concerned with my viewing experience! :) Why so serious?

Ok umm Sundream your status is Apprentice so that makes you new to Vevmo. Unless you didn't know castmembers themselves will come, and discuss what happens. Yet a notice you failed to answer my two questions....Why did Joey attack Ayiiia after they where cool? They didn't have an issue with each other, yet he just wanted to sent her home. Name me one fight Ayiiia started instigated?
That is because she was bruising their experience by being there as several cast members have stated...is that so hard to understand? Not just to leave and potentially do even more harm to herself than good. If she dosen't get help it could just end up turning into a viscous cycle. Which should be treated instead of continuing. Think Ruthie, she had a severe acohol problem they made her leave in order to seek treatment not just get her to leave to do whatever.
If he was going to get her to leave, it should have been in order to seek professional help.
He did NOT know about the problem when they initiated Operation Ayiiia Go Home...so drop it.
Sundream, I love it! You are so right in every aspect. Somebody has the guts to say, "These are everyday people, not celebrities." KUDOS
He did NOT know about the problem when they initiated Operation Ayiiia Go Home...so drop it.
He still helped prerpetuate a problem. As soon as he found out the problem he didn't give a rats ***. Thus, whether, he knew at the time is irrelavant because he didn't care when he found out and still dosen't. His intent wasn't to help her out of the goodness of his heart. He has NO comp***ion for people like Aiyiia. You drop it, you know he's a trouble maker. Ignorance is bliss.
As soon as he found out the problem he didn't give a rats ***. Thus, whether, he knew at the time is irrelavant because he didn't care when he found out and still dosen't.
They were in a serious fight, and he let her have it just like Ayiiia let Emilee have it with her adoption comment...it was the heat of the moment, and Ayiiia is all about the heat of the moment...and furthermore, he actually said on the aftershow that he was blushing after they showed the clip which proves he was indeed embarr***ed by those comments, so you are not correct. He does care somewhat now that what he said was over the top. Ayiiia kicking in windows is actually in my opinion MUCH WORSE than what Joey did since it demonstrates a violence that could be down right dangerous to the household, and it isn't the first time either. Ayiiia is violent in nature.
He has NO comp***ion for people like Aiyiia.
Wrong again. Joey said in the confessional that his friend was a cutter, and he said it was INTENSE. I know he had comp***ion for his friend. He just doesn't have too much comp***ion for Ayiiia, and understandably so. Some of you act as if you have never been a jerk yourself, and EVERYONE is a complete tool at one time or another...I have never met someone who hasn't said something they later regret (and don't ***ume what Joey does or does not regret at this point), unless you are Mother Theresa. Also, remember that Joey did not take it as seriously at first since he (and still may) think she was just sympathy cutting and not actually mutilating herself at the time. Anyone remember the Runaway Bride? Or perhaps that girl from the University of Wisconsin who faked her own abduction for sympathy? Think about it. Joey is not Ayiiia's father, so he has no requirement to give her unconditional love. This is the Real World, not Everybody Loves Raymond! :)
You must be a female? I like all the guys (Jonna included), and Jasmine.. she's very real. Emilee has been a different person every episode. Ayiiia is quite consistant though
I'm really over people saying I'm a different person each episode. A different person? I think I'm one of the most normal. I'm sorry that I am not a constant ****, or a constant ****, or a constant liar, or a constant psycho, or a constant loud mouth. I'm a HUMAN. Who ended up with a decent edit, because of the fact that I'm "normal." I'm not bashing any roommates here, but literally, we all know who got what edit. I just happen to know wrong from right? LOL. Which results in me KNOWING when I'm wrong, or when I'm right. You people need to remember you live with seven different personalities, with no tv, no ipod, no books unless you beg for them on the phone, it can make a person go REAL crazy (that's for the weirdos at the dailies.) This episode was quite hard to watch. Ayiiia didn't deserve the comments that were spoken about 'cutting,' however, CJ never made any comments about her cutting, is what I think people are neglecting. CJ didn't understand the circumstances until the After Show, which went well. Joey, I love to death, but to this day I still don't think he gets it, and that's okay, however, at the time, it wasn't.
Watching this episode made me feel...dirty. The vehement hatred of some of the cast members towards each other is hard to watch. How can you be so hostile while living in a gorgeous hotel in Cancun without a real job for 6 months? Ayiia asking to see CJ's piglet was totally demeaning and inappropriate. CJ's reaction to her was equally uncalled for. I hated both of them after watching that scene. Then Joey comes in and goes on a tirade. I don't think I could possibly dislike these people any more! These cast members are truly setting a bad example; I feel embarrassed for them, especially when they drink. A couple of them should probably never drink alcohol again given the behavior they exhibit while intoxicated. They have broken the Student City rules numerous times and we are only 4 episodes into the season. Doesn't say much about the integrity of any of them. I think I am done with this season for now, Brooklyn was much milder and entertaining with the exception of JD's drunken outbursts.
Our job was as real as any job could get for any of the past seasons. And btw, Derek broke that rule on our "last night" with Student City. It's called, editing. We all were highly amused by the fact that they took something that happened our last month there and made it seem like it occured two months in.
Emilee, can I ask you something? Was this experience as much fun as you expected?
About being an aprentice and the comment about how they're royal somethings. I agreed with.
I know. I was being facetious. I like your style though! ;)
We all were highly amused by the fact that they took something that happened our last month there and made it seem like it occured two months in.
They gotta keep the flow going and they have to make 12 episodes...it's not that they are trying to do anything nefarious...they just HAVE to do that, or it would be a big mess...but, it does seem really weird to see what you actually lived shuffled up like a deck of cards!
Joey, I love to death, but to this day I still don't think he gets it, and that's okay, however, at the time, it wasn't.
I am with you on Joey...seems like a really great guy to have as a friend if he is on your good side, but he can be a real jerk when he is pissed off, but some of my best friends are that way...I am that way! :) Joey's bark seems a LOT worse than his bite...other than spitting on tacos (big deal) I haven't really seen any kind of physical violence from him...yet. :)
Emilee, can I ask you something? Was this experience as much fun as you expected?
Was it fun? Not all the time. Would I do it again in a heartbeat? Yes. People think "OMG THEYRE IN CANCUN" It wasnt a vacation, it was life.
It's ten episodes sundream, the best season in recent years and it's ten episodes!! :(
They were in a serious fight, and he let her have it just like Ayiiia let Emilee have it with her adoption comment...it was the heat of the moment, and Ayiiia is all about the heat of the moment...and furthermore, he actually said on the aftershow that he was blushing after they showed the clip which proves he was indeed embarrassed by those comments, so you are not correct. In the "real world" good people try to help others not perpetuate problems. However, Joey isn't a good person. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Was it fun? Not all the time. Would I do it again in a heartbeat? Yes. People think "OMG THEYRE IN CANCUN" It wasnt a vacation, it was life.
That's true, it's just I've always seen it as, "Woah! The Real World, has to be the most fun ever," until this season where you all seem bored. :D I hope to audition for it when I turn 20ish. (currently 15 :)) That's if it's still around :D. But I have one more question, how was the audition? Was it crowded at all?
Joey isn't a good person. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing.
I am sure Emilee, who lived with and knows Joey more than anyone here, would disagree with that comment.
It wasnt a vacation, it was life.
Some may even say it was like Prison. :)
i agree with emilee. but i do have to say that just because people are more dramtic NATURALLY doesn't mean they're thirsting for camera attention, at least i can speak for MYSELF only because you guys saw how real this episode got. did i want this to all come out, absolutely not. it's a touchy subject that i STILL hate to talk about so whoever says "cutting" is for attention is an idiot because you guys aren't in our positions so don't try to be in. With CJ it was playfulness because i DIDNT KNOW he didn't like me at the time, but of course it blew up. **** is lit on fire right about now lol* who said i cut my wrist??? mistake BIG time. lets not get ahead of ourselves... you guys don't know the whole story and won't because it's what the roommates and i went through, you guys will see the edited version. SUNDREAM, you don't know me. so don't act like you do, k thanks. i love you guys, thank you for all the love & support it means A LOT. An yes i love you Emilee and Jasmine is always there with open arms... amazing girls. <3 and Emilee is correct with the bat phone asking Jonna to check on me AND me "crying" out loud in the bathroom was edited... i remember being extremely quiet.

Keep up the excitement in the season Ayiiia. I am glad everything is good with you now. Stay true. btw. Piglet was the funniest thing I've heard in a while. I couldn't stop laughing.
Ayiiia didn't deserve the comments that were spoken about 'cutting'
You are correct. Here or on the show. My only real reason for mentioning it was because whether or not it was for sympathy certainly would play into the fact that Joey continued to act like he did along with the fact that he was pissed and Ayiiia was pretty mean to Joey too. Joey also has dealt with that, so he knows a bit about it. The bottom line is, that Ayiiia is going to come out of this a better person and she is obviously on the road to recovery, and her ad at the end along with what she went through will help countless kids out there who watched the show. It does not matter why she did what she did at this point, as it will change people's live for the better out there...in the Real World. Also, people might learn from Joey as well and perhaps treat this kind of problem a bit more delicately in the future. I like to look at the bright side of things! :)

I don't think you're a bad person. I think you got overly attacked.
SUNDREAM, you don't know me. so don't act like you do, k thanks.
I never acted like I knew you. I only formed an opinion from what I have watched and from what I have heard via the "grapevine"...it's what this board is all about, right? But then again, you really don't know who I am, so how do you know if I know you or not? :) Like I said before...by the end of the season, I may rename my child Ayiiia and paint your name on my house...I am open minded and do realize there is a lot of season left.
did i want this to all come out, absolutely not.
I know how you feel, but just keep focused on how many people this will help who are experiencing the same loneliness and helplessness...keep focused on how bad things could have gotten if it did not come out on the show. A lot of good can come out of the bad.
Bronne and CJ were such sheep in this episode. How they could condone Joey's behavior is beyond me. I give all the girls props for trying to calm Ayiiia, because nobody deserves that kind of treatment. I would say Joey is like Puck to the extreme, but I'm sure his attention ***** self would enjoy that far too much. It's just really sad that CJ and Bronne did nothing, because if they did, Joey would have stopped. He wants that popularity and if they went against him and told him to apologize or what not, I think he would have. PS. In the past, hasn't BMP stepped in? With Ruthie, Paula, and Joey HW they were all given help. Was it explained why Ayiiia wasn't?
All this arguing is almost as entertaining as watching the episode itself. Crazy.
After watching the show, Joey might have went a lot overboard. I wish he would have seemed a little more apologetic of the situation in the aftershow. I watched the fight, and it was pretty easy for me to see how CJ could get angry. I don't think Ayiiia said anything verbally wrong but everything in her tone of voice and mannerisms was asking for a fight. To me it seems Ayiiia has clearly no idea how to talk to people the right way, she maybe joking or trying to be real but most times she comes off as insulting or unsympathetic. Anyway good show!
