Well yes, but I'm sure a lot of people go into this process thinking they have the most interesting story that will get them lots of screen time :)

Well we have only had two seasons out of the last 7 to feature all the roommates on a constant basis.

This is true as well. I still feel that getting the shaft is still wrong though I guess its to be expected. I just hope most of VI episodes isn't made up of Robb/Marie and Laura/Trey ****.
Has anyone else noticed how whenever there are two people on a RW season with the same name, one of them miraculously has a nickname that differentiates them from the other person with the same name?
I.E.: Knight, Cooke, Swift
I mean I get why they do it, but I just think its interesting.

All 3 examples it is their last name that they go by. I'm pretty sure in their hometowns they are Ryan, Heather, and Brandon respectively, just for the sake of the show they go by their last names.
I dont know why they chose Knight or Swift to do this, but I assume that they picked Cooke because she came later
I don't know how much credibility this guy has but I thought I would post anyways.... Can anyone here confirm or deny?

It's possible BMP asked them to be quiet, but:

This rumor has been around for years, so I don't know how much I believe it, but it would be nice to see somewhere like Portland that doesn't get as much recognition. If Brynn's from there it can't be so bad, can it? ;)

I'm not an expert but it looks like its just some Joe Schmoe who thinks they have a good idea. Akin to the Pittsburgh thing.

I would definitely deny the anytime soon implication of that blog. Here is why:
BMP as recently as late May had an ad looking for a freelance camera person and production assistant to shoot b-roll footage of Portland. If they were filming there as soon as early July, there would be no point in hiring someone to do that and I would expect that they would already have the place staffing up with people who could do that for them.
Second, I would expect the cast to be locked down if they were filming anytime soon, and there is social networking that indicates more than one person is still early on in the interviewing for Real World as of a week or so ago.
Lastly, BMP seems to have a gazillion filming projects going on that people would not realize unless they patrol the web for non-RW BMP projects as I do a few times a year. They could have needed Portland footage for any number of projects and seem to be needing more people to work in Van Nuys and elsewhere. I do believe that someone associated with the RW was involved in taping or editing the Portland footage based upon something I saw a week or so back and then forgot where I saw it. My guess would be that some combination of that ad and/or that person's involvement caused somebody somewhere to jump to at least premature conclusions.
Once again as a stated in another board, a few weeks back I saw (not sure where) that MTV asks that you be at least 21 before March 31 2013. (maybe it was April 31?) So why would they start production in 2 weeks for a new season? I don't think I believe that at all.
I'd also like to add that, to my knowledge, finals for season 28 have not happened yet, so a start date of early July is quite impossible. At the earliest, we are looking at an early August start, but more likely end of August - beginning of September.
Portland is a great city and would be a fresh location or a really nice-interesting end to the series if they decide to not renew. (Although I don't see that happening).
I've started watching the Denver season online, and I'm really liking it so far. I've only seen the first 3 episodes, but so far there's already been lots of drama, and I know that there's much more to come.
What did everyone here think of Denver? From what I've heard, it was a very good season, so that's the reason I'm checking it out for myself.

I know at least one member who will say it is her favorite season :D
From what I can remember of Denver (and no offense to that certain member or her child) was it started off well, but there was some weird racial/gay dynamic that developed that came across maybe too put on to me and the cast, or at least some of them, did a pretty bad job at their job. The house was interesting--if I remember right they had a guest room that other seasons never had.

As an alumni of a wilderness program, I assure you that their job was not fun at all and it would be grounds for leaving the show if I was on. ****, I would try and get some mono too to get out of that.

Work isn't supposed to be fun--that's why they don't call it "play". I like doing hard, not fun physical stuff. Good for the body and the soul.

Other seasons the work ranged from tolerable to downright fun.

...or non-existent LOL. I would have done the wilderness stuff in a heartbeat but I like camping and stuff like that anyway. I have even been known to split wood just for *gasp* the fun of it. :)

Denver is in my top 10, only behind San Diego1, B2NY, San Fran, Hollywood, and LV1(not in that order, of course). It probably had the most crazy, drunken drama of any season that wasn't filmed in Las Vegas. It also had a great cast, everyone added something good and interesting, and I didn't come away hating any of them. Brooke's meltdown is a classic moment in reality show history that I'm not sure will ever be forgotten.

I hate camping with a passion. I'm a city boy.

You are clearly forgetting about working for Student City, that must've been torture. Not to mention working as a club promoter or being forced to take improv classes.

Student City was the worst job to date, I mean having them work during Spring Break in paradise and forcing them not to smoke or participate in any fun during the duration was compketely unfair TBH, Cancun should have gotten San Diego 2 job and San Diego 2 should have gotten Hollywood task with Hollywood not having a job.
I find the jobs they have to be annoying, and I think it really just ruins the experience of it all. ITA about the Cancun job, we could have had much more drunken drama if they didn't work for Student City. We still had it though, but still.

I didn't watch Cancun but the premise of the job sounded kind of fun. Though I didnt hear anything about not being able to smoke or drink. Improv classes are tolerable, club promoting sounds fun.
And I would rather do any of those than go to the woods again.

I think they also couldn't hang out/party with any of the student City clients. Opening a spray-tan store was probably the job I would have hated the most simply because the existence of those places annoy me.
I think it would be fun to give them $50,000 (or how ever much they would need nowadays) again and get them to set up a business but this time give them proper guidance so they do actually do something with the money.

They pretty much did that in Miami, and while the business never really got going, it was really interesting to see and caused some good drama!

Being able to hang out for concerts and meeting the artists would be pretty cool, but essentially babysitting a bunch of drunk, dehydrated ******* college students brings that job down about 5000 notches.
