Very emotional episode for the cast members. I thought it possibly was the best episode of the season, minus Adam getting wasted. I love seeing Mike and Roy Lee, their relationship is so much fun to watch. I felt so bad for Nany, and seeing Mike with his mother was touching.
Oh yea and FINALLY they show some gambling!! :D
Wow. Powerful episode (looking past the Adam crap). May have been the best episode this season, or in a couple seasons. As much as I didn't like Nany, I really feel for her.
I hate to say it, but I've grown to really enjoy this season. Up until a couple weeks ago, I thought it was terrible. But now finally we're getting in character development, which this season severely lacked in the beginning. This is what I want to see.
I still may not be feeling most of this cast for various reasons, but the dynamic is SOLID. I don't think there's any cast member lacking place in storyline.
I just want to reiterate what some of you are already saying... such a touching episode. My favorite of the season. I teared up with both Nany and Mike's story lines.
Can I also say I don't understand why some of you are so hard on Nany? She fell for the wrong guy. She had a crush on a ******** moron. She realizes this now. I can't fault her for that. Today I can easily look back on some of the people I've had feelings for in the past and I'm baffled by what I might have seen in them. Haven't we all done this? Haven't we all had friends that have told us, "you can do so much better", but even despite their urgings you had to find out on your own? I think Nany is learning and growing. Isn't she only 21? I see a sweet person. I don't know, that's what I see and maybe that's just me.
Dustin just needs attention doesn't he. He acts like he hasn't seen his best friend in 20 years.
Oh Dustin is an attention-*****. Did you see how he yelled and held the trophy over his head when he won the motorcycle race. Just like Mike says: he always wants to be the alpha-male.
Just like that, they go right into making out? Wow Nany, that's all i can say.
What's wrong with that? They were practically together before Adam left.
Don't think seeing Adam right after what you found out about your dad, is not really a good idea.
Not sure I understand this sentence.
Wait, did I see Adam in the promo for Challenge? Please tell me I didn't.
Very likely, since Adam is a castmember of The Challenge: Rivals.
Obviously.
I am going to have to rework my "game" from the ground up! Especially that touching moment where he gave her his hoodie. He's practically a modern day Humphrey Bogart.
Nah..you just need a camera and sound crew filming your every move.
This is by far the worst season of the real world in a while, I think if you look at this forum alone you can figure that out. About 1/4 of the posts were about the upcoming challenge, and the trailer for it, and not the actual episode. This season had many things working against it, one not a great cast, two when the episodes were premiering most of the time a great sporting event was going up against it. A poor season

Are kidding me? This season is THE HERO to save Real world shows. What do you think is good season? DC? People watching this season and people like it.
I knew since they mentioned Nany looking for her dad that he was either not the right one or dead. Totally called it. Also I love Nany's little sister. Purely awesome episode. I can't believe it's almost over.

Yep Some of the people I messed around with I wonder what I saw in them. But whats funny is I wish I would've done more with them. lol. Shame, I know.

I am looking at the different episodes and the threads at vevmo. The only episode thread ever to have like 30 pages was the dustin gay **** episode. No other episode generated much interest, compared to other seasons. Also, midway through the episode, (like I previously said) more people were talking about the upcoming challenge. (rightfully so) But in my opinion the real world really isn't what it used to be.

I agree! I dislike the season a lot but I'm not going to lie, this episode was really good.
I know, this season has been memorable and entertaining. All the castmates got even screen time, which rarely happens on the RW. The ratings have been good. Just look at the number of followers they have on twitter. Some of them are pushing 40,000. Dustin made the cover of US Weekly. I would love to see a second season, people are obviously interested.
I wonder if Leroy (or anyone else) would have gotten kicked off if he/she had punched Adam. Technically, Adam isn't considered a cast mate anymore...
Didn't CT beat the crap out of some guy on his season and nothing happened or something like that?
Didn't CT beat the crap out of some guy on his season and nothing happened or something like that?
Well yes, but that guy had no affiliation with the cast. Adam does.
I'm just wondering if, once removed from the house, Adam is still contracted as a "cast member" and therefore, if another cast mate were to punch him, it would still be considered "violence against a cast member" which would be grounds for removal.
Ok. So I'm a guy. And I like to think that objectively speaking I can recognize an attractive guy, so I can understand why girls fall for certain guys. But for the life of me, no matter how much I try to understand it, I cannot understand what about Adam is so irresistible to Nany. Personality wise, the guy obviously has zero redeeming qualities. And physically he's like God's version of a stick figure. Just what the Hell am I missing? Perhaps one of you girls can enlighten me as to how this sort of thing happens.

Yeah, sorry, no help here either. I guess I just skipped the he-thinks-he's-a-bad-boy-but-really-he's-a-*****-and-he-can't-handle-his-booze-red-face-squinty-eyes phase.
Too bad for me! :D

Hahahaha! I'm a guy too, and I found myself thinking the exact same thing this episode. If Nany weren't really smokin' hot herself then it wouldn't bother me as much, but it seems she doesn't realize how far out of her league Adam is. Poor girl.

Coming from a male myself, Adam is not the ugliest person I've ever seen... but he's not the best either. Personality wise, Adam is a really nice guy (to your face) and like Naomi said on one episode this season, he constantly says stuff like, "Nany's so pretty; Nany's gorgeous." So he obviously sweet talks.
He is obviously extremely minipulative, as we've all seen. He plays head games.
He's not ugly, he seems like such a nice person, he sweet talks. Perfect guy? Nany thought so.

Some girls are attracted to the guy that "needs to be fixed." Seems to make the most sense in this situation...
We also have to take into account that Nany hadn't seen any of Adam's interviews at this point. She's disgusted by him now -- and had she known him for who he really was back then, I'm sure she would have been just as disgusted. The events in the most recent episode seem to be the point where Nany realized how big of a ****** Adam really is.

Obviously you totally missed out on that phase of your life. I hope and pray that void in your life can be filled someday :P

I dunno man. For me, when it comes to men or women, if there is something glaringly ugly about their personality, it literally affects how I see them physically. It's like their character flaws magnify their physical flaws to ridiculous proportions. When I think about this guy for three minutes after the reunion is over, before I forget him forever, the lasting thing I will associate with him is how badly he treated his 18 year old girlfriend over the phone.
I felt bad for Adam last night the way he came all the way out there and Nany blew him off. She should have just answered the phone and told him off or ended it at the end. Felt sorry for her with the mess with her dad and was glad Mike got to reconnect with his mom. Most importantly, I loved that there was no Heather-Dustin-Heather drama. I hate how MTV throws all these could've been good stories in in the last episodes without going deep into them.
Loved this episode! And to those who claim that Nany only pursued looking for her father on RW for screen time.. this is purely speculation but I'm assuming production covered the costs of all of that, and I doubt Nany had money to shell out to have investigators look for her father. Although it could be that they urged her to pursue this for the sake of the show, I doubt it was solely because she wanted more screen time on the show.
Damn, I really felt for Nany and Mike this episode. That scene where Nany found out about her dad was one of the saddest scenes this show has had in a long time, IMO.
Adam is terrible. UGH. The season was so much better without him. I think if there was more time spent on the roommates and their various family issues and less time spent on Adam's drunken behavior, this season would have been much better. I actually have really enjoyed it though. These past 2 seasons have been a big step up.

I really don't get why DC gets such hate. I thought it was a stand out season, and one of the better in years. Then again people seemed to love New Orleans 2, and I thought it was awful.
Either way, I think this has been a good season. Maybe not a top 10, but enjoyable.
