Nice detective work. It would have been awesome, if the page was real, and if it was then it would mean that Wes' would be real, but it's not :(
Wes is a great competitor. Regardless of his loss against Cohutta (although I do think Cohutta won fair and square), I still think he's one of the best competitors to have ever competed in these challenges. Luck plays a role in these challenges and in this one, luck simply wasn't on his side.
I didn't care much for him prior to the ruins but after this challenge he became one of my favorites. The fact that he was so humble when he lost against Cohutta gives him additional points in my book.
Wes has me confused this challenge. One minute I hate him, but the next I feel sorry for him and then the next episode he seems like the biggest ******** in the world and then the episode after that he is my favorite person on this challenge. But I really do agree that he is one of the best competitors, but not THE best. I do feel that Cohutta was really fortune to be in that particular Ruin against Wes. But at the sametime Cohutta is a tough competitor and I give him props for beating a previously undefeated Wes.
Wes, enjoy your middle seat on your flight home, without $30,000. I'm very happy he's gone.
I'd normally agree...but he was the only hope that this challenge would not turn into the same old story. Sadly, it would seem it now will.
I am generally against the powers that be, so Wes went from annoyance to hero in my book.

I know Wes was the only one standing up to the power alliance but if was Wes who had the power alliance, and Evan or Kenny was standing up to it, would you consider them your heroes? Wes has just come off as a huge punk. To me at least. But, even though I'm not a huge fan of Kenny and Johnny, I am really rooting for Derrick. If Wes was around and wanting to mess with his team, Derrick's team wouldn't win.
I know Wes was the only one standing up to the power alliance but if was Wes who had the power alliance, and Evan or Kenny was standing up to it, would you consider them your heroes?
Not sure being it is hard to remember when JEKas (Johnny, Evan, Kenny alliance society) was not the group in charge. First time is a charm. By the second, I was asleep. Now people are tuning out in massive numbers...They are good at the game but make boring TV.
Who is to know the answer to your question being it is a hypothetical impossibility.
I have never been a fan of Wes and I particularly disliked him when he was trying to throw missions for the Champions team BUT the way he acted in last nights episode redeemed him in my eyes. He accepted the fact that he would once again go into elimination because Kenny and Evan weren't man enough to do it. Even though he was a huge factor in the Champions winning the "Block Party" challenge they threw him into eliminations AGAIN.
faceless, if Wes had the power alliance and Kenny and Evan were standing up for it, then I would root for them BUT the fact of the matter is that Wes at least tries to play fair, from the beginning he said that whoever goes into eliminations should be able to choose their opponent whereas Kenny and Evan wanted to have control over not only who went in on their team but also their opponent.

I absolutely agree. There were times when I didn't like his actions on his previous challenge/shows prior to the Ruins. I really really liked him on the Ruins. He was really awesome. If I were in his shoes would have done the same thing. He will always be my hero. He's superman with the "Spool Ruins" as his kryptonite :(. I can't wait for his future challenges. I LOVE WES!

HAHA! Hahahaha! Hah! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!
I dont see how people dont like Wes for trying to throw missions for the Champions! How could you not like someone finally standing up to JEK? Just strange, for the most part the entire champions team are a bunch of spineless twits and deserved to have missions thrown.

I agree. Wes was just doing what he had to in order to survive, but that plan obviously didn't work.

Maybe because some of us, don't mind JEK. Well, Johnny not so much. And maybe we wanted that team to win, and Wes was plague on that team. "I will tackle my teammates if I don't get what I want," come on, seriously? That's just stupid. My dislike for the way JEK act is nothing compared to the dislike I have for Wes.
The Champs are going to miss Wes in the sense that when he was been a team player he was a valuable asset on any challenge.. but i did wanted him out, because his initial antics, which made him unreliable, plus he always semed to be playing both sides agains the middle.. i am not a Wes fan, nor i am a Wes hater.. i respect his scheming and physical skills.. but i think he approach the situation in a horrible way influenced by his personall dislike of Johnny and Kenny.. he and Evan does seem to be friends, and if he had come in with a calm attitude, excel on the challenges, and proven that he wasnt afraid of going into the first ruins, he probably could have made his own power play with Darrel, Sy, Nick, Chet.. and gain Evan's vote depending on the situation.
i think he will learn from the errors of his ways, and his overconfidence, and come back an even stronger player than he already was.

I third that.
In the previous challenges, Wes has been an arrogant jerkbag, plain and simple... but his rebellion JEK gave him redemption. It almost made me want to make him t-shirts and become an obnoxious fan girl... then he spoke and I realized he was the same 'ol Wes, just in outlaw form.

Different stroke for different folks I guess. I know I cant stand JEK, I hate them with a purple passion. Then you have the entire champions teams who for the most part cant think for themselves and are so obnoxious. The people I do like, like Veronica, Syrus, Tonya and Katie weren't playing smart and it's frustrating, that entire team is handing JEK the win at the end. So I dont like that team and am rooting for the Challengers, so I am glad that Wes tried to throw missions. It didnt work but at least it provided for some good drama. My dislike for JEK forced me to love Wes.

I keep hearing that the Champs team besides Wes can't think for themselves. Well, they are thinking for themselves, they're aligning themselves with the power alliance for them self. Why should they have to think about Wes? Everybody was going about it their own way. Wes' way just wasn't as smart as the others. Of course JEK will watch out for each other and would rather send in someone else then their core 3 people but that's what an alliance is. They're friends, of course they're gonna play it like that. Just like Wes not wanting to send in Kelly Anne, because they are dating, even if she is the Challenger's strongest girl. That, in it's own way, is an alliance. No one ever thinks that maybe Derrick, Darrell, and others agree with JEK. Rather then jumping on the band wagon for the sake of being a sheep, perhaps they are playing their own game, and letting JEK take the heat for it. Which is smart. Wes is a good competitor, he did a decent job at the scheming aspect in the first Duel, but if he wasn't so arrogant and wasn't so in your face and threatening to beat people up, he might still be there, maybe. Wes wanted the Champs to bend backwards and touch their head to their *** for him. Why the **** would they? Why would 13 others bend for 1 person? And he's calling them unfair and not team players. That's the exact opposite. Also, why did he tell Johanna that he wanted them to keep personal business separate from the game when he comes in all angry at Kenny for something that was personal? He keeps telling others to act a certain way yet he's not acting that way either.

That's how I became obsessed with Wes.
^ Well Wes actually came with the mind frame of wanting to compete and win the "Game" in the Duel. He proved he was bad mfer in the Fresh Meat challenge. He used his smarts to control people. Like he said he was low profile, acting like sneaky *******. Thats why he won with a tactical game.
In this challenge he came in for the wrong reasons. He wanted to be with Johanna and Kelly Ann. Which is huge mistake, because Wes takes his personal relationships very seriously in the games. In Fresh Meat he went out of his way to protect Johanna and was loud. The same in this challenge.
Wes in both the Fresh Meat and Ruins proved he could back up his talk. Hes won a combined 7 elimination rounds. If it was a different event in the Ruins, we would have probably seen Wes in the Finals. It would have been interesting watching Wes in a Win-Win situation. If his team wins, he wins. If Kelly Ann wins, he wins.

That can be said about a lot of things though, like if it was strictly wrestling, Derrick would have beaten Wes, if they didn't have to worry about ripping the flag, CT would have beat Brad, and with other challenges too, resulting in the rest of the challenge being much different. All that is said about Wes with this challenge though, is that he went in thinking he was the "baddest mfer" but he wasn't. They have all won, and in their own right, are good players. They all knew they were good and they all knew each of them offered something. Like Johnny said, they didn't need Wes to win, they still have a lot of strong guys. I know that if tables were turned and Wes had more of his Austin lackies, and had a majority, everyone would be saying that Wes is just playing the game and he's doing the right thing. Yes, JEK, Derrick, and Darrell are arrogant but throughout the first 5 episodes, Wes was always saying that everyone is afraid of him and no one is as strong or as smart or he was proving that he was the best. I've heard Kenny say he'd kick Wes smile off and Johnny say he'd light up all of Wes' freckles but they weren't constantly boasting themselves like Wes was. Everyone jumped on Evan saying he was acting nice when comforting Tonya and he was doing it for the cameras but when Wes was saying all that cheesy **** after he was eliminated, oh man, that makes him the nicest person ever and he was 100% not acting! Give me a break.

I agree 150% with this entire post especially the last sentence. LoL I remember everybody trashing Evan, but yet Wes is a saint. ****, good stuff.
facless, don't forget Wes's little speech about the charity...funny no one calls him out on that bull**** but the second Evan tries to do something nice everyone is all over him.
Gotta love the double standards around here.

Fact is that Evan was the biggest hypocrite ever during te Veronica/Tonya fight. When Wes was going to break them up, Evan was like "No Wes", cause apparently, he was enjoying themselves and didn't care if the 2 girls would scratch eachothers eyes open. Then 5 seconds later, he suddenly changes his mind and he's like "No TONYA STOP!" I mean come on, that is so low and fake.

But I'm sure when he was holding Tonya he wasn't like "Oh let me look like the good guy." Its human nature to console someone when they are crying. I'm not saying it wasn't a ****ed up of Evan to say that, because it was. I've witnessed fights before and I've seen **** like that happen.
Point is, I'm sick of everyone acting like Wes is mother theresa. He's not.
And people are saying JEK is worse bla bla bla, Evan wasn't as bad in the Duel 2, does that excuse his behavior in the Gauntlet 3? No. Just like Wes not may be has bad in the ruins, does that excuse his behavior in Fresh Meat? No.
All of the champions are cocky as ****, some just get more airtime than others and are more outspoken. And I also seen someone write something about JKE gloating that Wes is gone, Syrus was gloating in the dailies too, so its not just them.
I actually like Wes, Evan, and Kenny but there is just too much wishy washy double standards around here, which is why I play the devil's advocate. Faceless gets it, and he doesn't even really like Evan, Kenny, or Wes.
I'm actually routing for the challengers.
