But her decision will forever taint her credibility in the game because she lied. Flat out lied. She made the decision, she feels horrible about it, but she only feels horrible because she betrayed her previous alliance. Especially at a critical point when everything was on the line.

What makes it even worse is that she tries to justify her decision by saying Bananas & Nany would’ve voted them in. Bananas & Sarah aren’t the best of friends (he apparently doesn’t call her on her birthday), but they were working together the entire game. I completely agree with Bananas for being outraged, because she didn’t live up to her word.

It also looks bad because she keeps referencing the money as opposed to the win, it looks money hungry. Like you would screw over your friends for money.

I'm not going to push back much because none of this is outlandish, but did Sarah actually agree to never throw him in or take him to the Finals or something explicit? Because the whole 'we're working together' thing on it's own doesn't seem that compelling.  Like he was out half the game, he wasn't saving her all over the place.  It doesn't seem like they are best buds outside the game unless I missed something big. She is "money hungry" probably, but so are most of them. All we have to go on for Bananas not throwing in Sarah is his word after the fact, not having to have made the call. I guess all I'm saying is I'm not sure I'm convinced she did "flat out lie", to me that requires some sort of explicit agreement being made. Not 'let's work together'.

In regards to Sarah's power move, I do believe it was the best decision for herself. If all is true, and this is her last challenge, her reputation being tarnished is a non-factor now.

What I do believe is that Johnny would have thrown in the Rookies had he and Nany been Power Couple. Also, I do believe that what he did with Leroy last week and convincing Sarah and Jordan to throw in Leroy was similar to what Sarah did to Johnny. Although Johnny did not put in Leroy and Nia, he did convince the power couple to throw in Leroy and Nia. Johnny was a bitter old ****, and the aftershow really just shows how salty he still is about it. I loved how Jordan just talked shit to him the whole aftershow.

its quite possible that the cause and effect are reversed in the sense that sarah is making this her last challenge only after the fact of finding out that shes been blacklisted and public enemy #1. in that case it wouldnt have been worth it IMO since her decision sort of goaded her into retiring for good and was basically an all or nothing type of deal

It's possible although the idea that she decided after the outcome could be more based on the monetary results than the social implications. Also, it isn't like atweet is binding if they asked her and she wanted to return then she could. I have trouble believing that the majority of the cast is up in arms like Johnny is.

She's engaged and an art teacher now. She has things going on in her life that would make it difficult for her to leave for 2 months to film a challenge. It looks like she already has put The Challenge behind her.

hasnt she always had things going on in her life? being engaged is nice but it doenst mean shes shackled to her fiance especially since shes very pro feminism and will probably be the first to tell you that having a fiance or and even being married doesnt mean shes going to compromise her pleasures.

i really do think that the rough treatment and backlash she has gotten from some of the cast mates at the end has scared her off from coming back on TOP of possibly winning and yeah...maybe an art school teacher job. i mean being an art school teacher is great and all but its not like shes becoming the president of the united states or taking over toyota....sarah loves these challenges and knows how unique the experience is compared to  having a normal and kind of bland, average career that will probably always be accessible even after the challenges go off air

Yeah, it's not like that which is why I implied nothing of the sort. Having a teaching job is not something you can easily walk away from for a couple months so you can go film a reality show where people are getting drunk and hooking up. Most schools frown on their teachers participating in that kind of behavior. The latter is also why we rarely see people in committed relationships appearing on these shows.

Sarah loves challenges. I'm not disputing that. But she's done eight. At some point she's going to want to move on to the next stage in her life. That time appears to be now.

shes always had these type of jobs in positions of authoritiy where it was requird to maintain some type of public image that served as role models for kids and she still came onto the challenges without hesitiation.

in fact she said in this very episode while being confronted by nia in the hotel room, that she was an elementary art school teacher but that obviously didnt keep her from coming to exes 2.

so all we are left with is her fiance and the criticism and implicit threats from bananas. im not convinced that getting a fiance means she turns into some demure gender traditional stepford house wife since doing things for or because of men goes entirely against her feminist philosophy. its either she wants to leave on top if she ends up winning or she knows whats coming if she returns. i personally think its both but more of the latter.

I think you're reading too much into it. I think the way she played -- which was the plan the whole time -- was indicative of the fact that she was planning on leaving well before this whole thing went down. If she does win, this could easily be her "drop the mic" moment. Paula, who was on almost every challenge for a long time, did the same thing Sarah is doing. I get why you think that way, but I don't believe it to be the case.

paula won one challenge and ended up coming back the subsequent seasons right after until she won again. she didnt drop the mic until she had two wins and a baby so her situation doesnt exactly cement the rationalization behind the explanation for why sarah might be done after one win(hypothetically).

i also dont think her game play indicated anything other than desperation for a win. sarah wants to win just like paula but unlike paula, she actually ENJOYS the challenges and environment and didnt get stressed out and paranoid until this season. it was made clear by bananas, nia, nany and leroy that she wouldnt be enjoying anything if she came back again so thats good enough reason to stay home.

i think youre underestimating how sensitive she is. sarah is not a strong girl and is kind of obsessed with acceptance from others and even admitted a couple of episodes ago about how she hates it when people dont like her. she was visibly shaken last episode and probably knows that she would have a hard time in the future challenges with nia, leroy, bananas, nany who will all more than likely come back regularly.

its probably one of amongst other reasons that theresa quit. they both couldnt handle the heat and stress. notice both theresa and sarah said they were done ONLY after they started getting swept over the coal rack

Nia is a terrible person

Nany isn't very far behind

I think the general strategy in this game have been alliances and who are your #1. In episode 2 or 3, Sarah and Jordan created a list as they were deliberating because they went around and asked everyone (or assumed), who were their number ones. On that logic, Bananas/Nany and Jordan/Sarah were each other's number ones, because of Bananas/Nany didn't come back -- they might've gone in. With that said, (I think) Bananas would've taken Sarah to the final because he was confident enough in him & Nany that he would've beaten Sarah, if not, at least he would've made some money.

I wouldn't be able to trust her. Bananas & Sarah aren't great friends out the game, I understand that, but they haven't been at odds in the game either. Every time she's gone home, he's felt sympathy and said only nice things about her. He allowed her to win a Challenge on the original Battle of the Exes.  I think everyone respected Sarah for being a strong competitor and being relatively positive about it, but it's gone out the window. And not just from Bananas either, Nany, Nia, and Leroy don't respect the decision as well. She lied and flat out betrayed someone, for money.

BTW does anyone know what Johnny does to make ends meet if he doesn't win a challenge? Just curious.

Does what 80% of everyone else does on the challenges, appearances. He also sells all of his johnny bananas stuff. Look at CT he is older, been around longer and doesn't have a real job.

I think everybody meaning the Bananas fans needs to seriously chill out over Sarah "screwing him over" he acted like an immature entitled child getting all pissed because someone he thought he was manipulating to do whatever he wants decided to play her own game and not his. Just because the challenge is his main source of income shouldn't mean people should give him passes to the finals just so he can pay his bills. Also, where does he get off talking shit about Jay & Jenna like they're the 1st rookies ever to go to a final without seeing an elimination round and like he's never kept weaker players in the game to help him win. I seriously think it's time for him to retire he takes the game way too serious and these newer kids like Zach, Reilly, Jordan, etc. are never going to help him win unless he's on a team with guys like them. Lets be real he's had a lot of friends that have helped him in the past from The Island to Rivals 2 he pretty much had the run of things or he was apart of the mob running things but the last 2 challenges he's pretty much been on his own and he's had to fight to survive I don't see that changing.

Johnny doesn't do the deal with Evelyn, he doesn't win $**t. Sarah doesn't send Johnny in she still has a shot @ 35K. i posted that and Backpack himself favorited it.

And now im gonna tweet it to Paula.

Except Sarah doesn't want"a shot." She wants a slam dunk. She's aiming for first, not just get to the final and then YOLO.

lol i was just trying to prove Backpack wouldn't have won anything on the Island. that's all.

Idk about the rest of you, but I'm not a fan of Jordan/Sarah getting a head start just because they were the last power couple. I could be wrong, but CT/Diem didn't get a big head start on Exes 1, right?

I don;t know this was such a big deal. Sarah is playing for first place, much like everyone else (with the exception of Jenna, who doesn't know what she's playing). The thing with Johnny is that he's a tough competitor, and to be quite frank, Nany is a great partner. Had they been in the final, I would put my money on them. Johnny was confident and he didn't have to screw anyone over to get the win, nor has he ever had to, to be honest. For competitors that aren't as great as Johnny, they have to insure their chance of winning, which is going into a final with a weaker competition. Jay and Jenna are weaker competition. Sarah knew that. That's why I think, being in an alliance with the strongest players can be detrimental in the end for a competitor like Sarah, because it may ensure her to see a final, but it also ensures her that she won't win the final.

I'm glad Sarah is moving on to bigger and better things. Also, her appearance was kinda waining on me anyways haha. But I like her tho.

You'd think that after so many years and being MTV's Challenge poster child, he'd try to start his own little business. For me, I'd use being on the Challenge to leverage my name out their and make a business. Maybe that's my Entreprenueral 101 talking. haha

People need to chill. It's amazing how much hate has been thrown all because of a simple, mindless tv reality show...

Nah that's that "common sense, real *** shit" talking lol. There's is no way I would be on my 11th challenge with 5 wins because by that point I would've set myself up to take trips like those WITHOUT having to show out on TV. Hell Darrell had sense enough to open up his own gym & hire trainers + himself.

All the money Johnny has won, yet when the challenges are done his ******* might have to go back & work a regular job...just STUPID.

No clue but I wouldn't be surprised. It's either that or he's living with Hannah Teter.

Well I know Backpack sells clothes online. And he probably has some money stacked away. He is a piece of shit but he's not stupid.

Thank you for clarifying. I would hope he wouldn't be stupid as to have to go back to normal life after this is all over.

I can see him probably going on another reality show though.

Speaking of Darrell, he seems to have a wonderful life with his wife and two kids as I see on his instagram. I'm happy to see he's doing okay and hasn't let reality TV taint his life, unlike some of these people.

They should bring back the surreal life after his challenge career is done. Would be fun seeing him there with 5 other has beens.

Or have him go to Survival, which I doubt he'll last long, but who knows.
