I mean, Darrell can breed me all day, any day, whenever wherever we're meant to be together, BUT he's still a background character. Just people use it as a negative thing for some and for Darrel, the argument goes "not everyone is meant to be in the forefront". Just some nostaglia bias I'm seeing. I'm happy he;s on regardless of how impactful he is to the overall story.
Maybe nostagilia bias, but imo there are some background characters that still are noteworthy. Joss, Kaycee, and and a lot of other modern-day background characters don't have any charm or charisma or funny confessionals to make them likable, or if they do then they're edited out for the fake drama that Josh, Paulie, etc are serving which is also unfortunate.
Darrell is 100% a background character. I don't think anyone argues that. I think that he provides enough in terms of commentary and other small moments to still be likable. If you serve absolutely nothing, you are furniture. I don't think that's mental gymnastics lol

No he does have Charisma, his charm and humor makes him charasmatic. He just isn't enough about DRAMA. That is the difference.

**** i meant hose naked fitness/modeling ones he released where you can kinda sorta imagine seeing anything good if you squint. But there's a picture of him laying in bed naked with a sheet just covering his junk that keeps me up at night in all the right ways.
