Pretty cool article and interview with one of The Challenge executive producers here. Also, has a hint of what kind of vibe they're going for next season and how far along in the process they are.

Ugh sounds like they are going to keep the red skull twist.
The red skull twist is great to keep if they can change some things up about it. Like maybe bring back the relic, or if you have multiple red skulls you can give one away or insitead of having 3 seperate eliminations for the last 3 people without Red Skulls, you can have them do a Bloodbath where there's only one winner. I think they definitely can adjust and do things to make it better.
I miss the politics and the paranoia that would create fights...Red Skulls take that away
I think the Bunker and the shared suffering everyone was feeling took away that. Not the need for Red Skulls because there was drama at points with people fighting each other in nominations to go in. I think because of how miserable, stressed and depressed everyone was, they had no energy to fight at times. I think if they're in a nicer environment that'll help a ton.
If they keep the Red Skull too, they should get rid of the tribunal and only have a house vote and then let the person/pair that's in elimination, call out their opponent. Like WOTW1. Because I thought that added a lot of drama and created potential new rivalries between people that season. Plus, if a person/pair calls someone out and they lose, it's embarrasing to them and their ego and adds some good entertainment.
Any final that includes a mountain, especially with snow, can screw over even the most in shape person if they aren't prepared for the altitude, especially someone as big as Fessy. Bananas, Kyle, Jenny, and Kaycee were probably the best built for that kind of final.

I think they meant the pre production team is getting ready to leave for location.. not the cast.
Agreed. My guess is the cast won't leave until maybe mid - late August, be quarantined for 2 weeks once they arrive and then start filming. Which would probably be in September ish maybe.

Yup, exactly. I'm 6'4" and in decent shape but whenever I'm in the mountains and run or workout, it takes me a bit to get used to the altitude. So I can see why bigger guys like Zach, CT and maybe even Fessy could struggle with the altitude. And Fessy lives in FL so he's definitely not used to that thin air lol
He beat even Jordan in that earlier challenge that involved running and carrying big objects back and forth. He has been beating everyone in anything involving running all season long. Altitude and cold weather finals are usually not kind to dudes with his size and weight. It will be interesting to see why he finished even behind cory though. That is embarrassing.

So what's the deal with Melissa? Does she get eliminated with Rogan? Or is it a DQ? Is it a medical DQ and does she find out she's pregnant?
They released Melissa's GoPro footage from the Fast and Furious Daily and she got 7/10 pieces and did most of the work on the puzzle. She carried Bananas.
And I'm confused why people consider Kaycee to be some beast. What has she done? Melissa and Bayleigh have outperformed her in almost every skill based daily. Kaycee chopped ice, read numbers and drove through barrels to get into 3 tribunals.
No way i remember Kaycee, Melissa, and Rogan all hanging out the whole weekend after final. Bananas, Bayleigh, Fessy all seem to go home before them so you cant really tell anything by who left first to go home.
My guess is they do a challenge once they get to location change and bananas ends up vs Rogan like in Free Agents CT vs Bananas.
but TJ says in the trailer "I'm eliminating two of you" and Melissa is seen participating in the final(not sure about Rogan), so that doesn't really make sense unless they for some reason did the male elimination before the female one

huh ? he has def been one of the faster runners this season. They are in snow i doubt it was running that caused issue
