The trivia challenge was a case of "over-twisting". The passing the x to someone else was unnecessary. The trivia challenge usually stands on its own as entertaining, it doesnt need a twist.
Plus when you don't add a twist to the trivia challenge, it adds variety and gives viewers a comic relief in a season of so many twists.
This was a missed opportunity of what could have been a fun episode.
