It wouldn't surprise me if it was Philly based on Karamo. He's not only a celebrity, but he was one of the most unique examples of casting on the show - grappling with being stereotyped as a black man and a gay man. So they might like the idea of exploring that in today's climate.
Personally, I still want to see one of the 1 through 10 seasons. Except London.
I second this. The seasons with castmembers who have been on TV their whole lives will miss out on that authenticity in their entire project. Some of these castmembers are too self aware of their personas for things to develop organically as it has during these first two homecomings.
I agree. And for me a lot of the characters that aren't the headliners are delivering. The ones that have stayed out of the spotlight are more interesting to me. Like Beth A versus Beth S.
I dont know whats more terrible another real world season with wes/nehemiah or john/tyler
Add to John/Tyler, horrible Paula and boring Janelle. The only thing that could save that season is if Jose showed us all his uncut D and bent over and showed us all where the sun don't shine. Seriously don't need to see any of them ever again.
So I rewatched Seattle and........ besides The slap, Lindsey's friends suicide and the casting producer dating David there wasn't a whole lot that actually transpired even with the whole house beefing with Stephen and if they reunited the only interesting topic would be Stephen. I actually wouldn't be mad if it doesn't happen but I low-key want it to just for Stephen but that can all be addressed on an episode of Challenge All-Stars tbh. I doubt Lindsey wants to relive her friends death and I doubt production would cut it cause it was one of the few major moments.

I understand what you mean, in the sense that those were the major dramatic moments of the Seattle season, but I think this viewpoint disregards what made The Real World special in the first place. It was more about the smaller moments, seeing how people from different backgrounds interacted and seeing them just living their normal lives that was interesting. It wasn't solely about getting into arguments and getting wasted (although that has always been an element to the show). It's what made viewers feel like they were really getting to know these people.
Also, I think this would be a fascinating season to reunite, as Irene has stated multiple times that the main reason she left the show was because she felt like it was fake and did not agree with how production was run. I think it would be really interesting to put them back together and see what issues she would be able to discuss about the bigger picture of reality TV and it's impact on culture and the participants. Also, Nathan was clearly struggling with alcohol issues and has now gotten sober, so that would be an interesting discussion.
But definitely, if they were to get Stephen back, there is no way it would not be dramatic haha.
Wasnt there going to be another real world spinoff happening? Because I think a RW Family reunion could be amazing, especially for the seasons that can't get the full cast for a homecoming

I completely forgot about Irene going in on production ****. Didn't MTV sue her?
Either way they are not in a rush since Nola doesn't even have a premiere day and the challenge have like 4 different versions coming. Plus, the special one of the winners of each competing against each other.
That sucks to hear! This show has so much potential and a built in audience. Even a bad season of this is more entertaining than any other reality show on now. We don't need a bunch of manufactured drama. We want to see people's families, hear what they been up to, see them rewatch cringy clips and get their take on topics they discussed twenty years ago. It's that idea that each season has to be more intense/sexy/crazy than the last that ruined the Real World in the first place. Let us old fans have something. Maybe if this gets good ratings they will keep going.
Oh god. I'm hoping they don't cancel this series! It has so much potential with other casts. I would love to see them do a homecoming up until Cancun. Anything after that isn't necessary
way too high they should have did a Family Vacation type show with different seasons together after LA to salvage the hype cause not many really wanted NO ☕️

ive been saying they should have done that!!! Maybe they will come to their senses
I like the reunion format and don't see any reason for a family vacation style with seasons being mixed but clearly the reunion didn't work for NOLA so maybe try it and see what happens.

yeah a Homecoming: All Stars type of formst would be amazing!!

The problem with this is we are going to get people like Beth S and Trishelle. They will cast people who they think are fan favorites and we get to see people we have seen a million times since their season ended. We don't get to see people like Kevin who can get a chance for some redemption or people like Beth A who surprise us. Or even someone like Tami who only did it for her fellow castmates. Part of what makes this show enjoyable is catching up with cast members who we haven't seen in a long time. Now if they said everyone from San Fran, London, Miami, etc. who wants to do it can join that might work but if BM just cherry picks fan favorites the cast and the drama would be so predictable. They should just keep doing Homecomings and scale them back to a week. They don't need 3 trips. Get them in a house for 7 days with a fishbowl of questions and some old footage and roll cameras. Do 6 episodes and an extra episode of outakes and bloopers and you are good to go. Spreading to two weeks and forcing 8 episodes seems to be part of the problem for NO.

Why do I feel like Johanna could be convinced?
also I went and looked at her Instagram and Evan is the godfather of her son?? Woah I have no idea they stayed close all these years.
Almost all the girls loved Evan and Kenny so it's not surprising.
If Johanna do this is over her cast mates she really doesn't really seem interested in doing this

we need a 2022 interaction of johanna/wes and danny/melinda
Danny/Melinda after their divorce on battle of the seasons were an snooze together and Johanna doesn't care about Wes anymore
yeah, Johanna has long defended Evan as well. Her story was the main reason WFM considered fighting Tonya's civil suit instead of settling.
Johanna would need lots of money to do it
Sounds like Paramount+ isn't happy with Nola homecoming and that this whole thing is on hold for now
**** welp
Los Angeles set the bar too high.
But seriously I'm not surprised
lol
WHY?! Cause they were difficult?! That sucks. I wanted at least Vegas again just for Irulan lol.
Between being difficult and some of them taking a lot of naps adding complications to editing
Today is just all bad news lol.
NOLA was always risky IMO. Kelley probably had no interest in being there. I could see pretty much everyone else being difficult as well.

*****! The day the mtv challenge universe died!!
