What were they supposed to do? Cancel the finale mission and no one gets any money? Please.
No, they should've thought of this ahead of time and create a format that would've prevented this from happenning. With 14 people per team and a total of 18 eliminations, technically 1 team could've been eliminated all together. This format had a lot of flaws.

Well if a team cant win any challenges, and cant win the eliminations- they deserve to all be eliminated. Obviously its gonna be unfair to put a team with people like Wes, Kenny, Evan, Darrell- against a team led by Brad, Dunbar, Danny, Cohutta....did anyone really think the Challengers had a chance?

If you put a team of people who have been in lots of challenges before and have won, who already come to the game with alliances and numbers against a bunch of either newbies or losers (people who have been in challenges but haven't won), it's pretty obvious what the outcome will be.
My point in all this is that the concept of champions vs. challengers is simply dumb and to make it worst they set 18 eliminations when each team has 14 players? They're lucky that the challengers weren't eliminated completely.
From a competition perspective, yes, if a team sucks they should all be eliminated but this is after all a TV show, and from that perspective, I'm sure they didnt want one team to be eliminated completely or to end up only with 2 girls. Even when one team wins most of the missions, there's usually still hope that the other team can win the final mission. That's what keep viewers tuned in. In this challenge there is no such hope and I think the ratings say it all. Worst ratings for a challenge in a while. I consider myself a huge fan of these challenges and this one I'm finding it really hard to watch and that's coming from a fan.

Kenny is a joke as far as competitors go, Johnny is better as a competitor, but not by much. The challengers lost several missions due to Casey. For instance, they would have won the swimming challenge had it not been for Casey. Casey has been a major contributing factor to the challengers losing. That's why Johnny and the gang wouldn't send her in a face off because she helped the champions win challenges.

ITA.....Casey has been the major downfall of the challengers team. It has been painfully obvious that girl is barely even trying. I have been wondering why no one from the Champions team has selected her to go against in a Ruins elimination. I guess I have always known that she has some kind of an alliance with the Champions. It makes a lot of sense that she is the last women from her team to go in the Ruins and it is probably the very last elimination, because as long as she is there she continues to help the Champions team win.
so basically Kelly Anne and Sarah are the only ones left from the challengers?? wow wow wow. Im happy because they are my fave girls, along with Kim but she is eliminated. but seriously the producers need to do something new with the future challenges this is a stupid joke i swear putting 2 girsl against 6 people on a final mission is just ridiculous.
this is what i came in conclusion:
since the Duel 1 in almost every RW/RR Challenge Kenny, Johnny, Evan and Derrick have appeared. Kenny, and Derrick won in the Inferno 3, Jonny made it to the final mission, then on the Gauntlet 3 againg they appeared together, they made it to the final mission, won but were DQ. on the Isaland Evan didnt participated, Strange? well the producers worked with Ev and the Kenny, Johnny, Johanna, and Paula Alliance, fighting the whole time, then at the end throw Paula and put Ev along with Kenny and Johnny (i dont count Derrick because they dont show much drama about him that i forget about that guy) then on the Duel 2 they didnt bring neither Kenny, Derrick or Johnny in. why because the producers wanted Evan as the winner to put him on the Champions team as he is right now. and also since they always form alliances between them, how would each of them would have made it to the final mission??? i dont know if i explained myself clear. just bring new people into this challenges, then what is the point of making all those new Real World series every year. pointless

Because Johnny, Kenny, and Derrick won on the Island, they couldnt be on Duel 2.
Also, Brad has been on almost every challenge since the Duel 1, besides I3 and The Island.
The point is the get viewers- which they are doing. They would stop making them if they were losing money.

so what, Evan won the Duel 2 and he appeared on the Ruins.
Kenny and Derrick and Ev won the Inferno 3, and as well they appeared on the Gauntlet 3. and about Brad, is true but he hasnt won anything. Challenges are my favorite TV show ever, but also that doesnt make me stop saying that the show is rigged and fake, do you think that twice every year people would just give away 300 grant, where is that money come from? the show is just fixed as any other reality show, Top Model, Project Runway, Dance Crew, and many other more....

Then why get rid of Wes? He was the biggest drama they had on the show. If it was rigged they would make sure Wes was still there.

I concur! You're one of my favorites here. You always bring witt, charm, delight, and brains to Vevmo. If only there were more people like you. Plus we share some of the same favorite country artists. Anyways, The team should have thrown Casey in when they won that one challenge.

because every challenge is about the stupid alliance
IMO Wes the money man in challenges. Thats why MTV brought him back to FM2.
The guy is always good to make things happen as far as drama.
For 1, Wes is a strong competitor and is not afraid to back it up. 2, he speaks his mind. 3, hes always seen as a threat by the majority of scared losers. Everybody looks at Wes, and they say "We can't control this guy, we need to figure out a way to get him out of here."
And usually the schemers try to get everybody but themselves to take out Wes.
In FM1, Wes was in the Austin Team. He pretty much beat the odds. He had a ****** Teammate, now for everybody who doesn't see how much dead weight Casey they are seeing it now in this challenge. He had no alliances to back him up from going in every time.
In Duel 1, Wes worked the game the best way he could. He made alliances with the underdogs. And they ended up taking out all the favorites. Wes best strategic game. This challenged showed he can also play the game and strategies.
In the Ruins. He unretired only because he wanted to be with his GF Kelly Ann. They were having problems so he wanted to avoid Kelly Ann from hooking up with the whole house during a break up period. Like mentioned Evan called him to see if he would be there. All of them form alliance beforehand. The people who Wes share loyalty with are in the Challengers team and saw himself as the odd man out in the Champs team who saw him as the guy who can "**** up the plan"
Wes fought to get his way. And found an equal ground over the majority, who were scared ****less. He got the rotation in place. If he would have beaten Cohutta and made it to the end he would throw the mission imo. Causing even more drama.
Thats why Wes is the guy MTV wants to have in challenges above else.
Kenny and Evan don't bring much to the table just some two face gameplan. Be nice, suck up to as much people as possible, then screw them in the end in favor of their little clique.
Because Johnny, Kenny, and Derrick won on the Island, they couldnt be on Duel 2.
Said who?
Evan won Duel 2 and is on The Ruins.
There have been several instances in which cast members win a challenge and appear on the next challenge.
The point is the get viewers- which they are doing. They would stop making them if they were losing money.
They might end up loosing money with this last challenge so perhaps we might finally not see JEK so often. They are not getting the viewers, the ratings are low.

I believe one of the mods said that. They weren't invited to do the Duel 2. Which makes sense, because the producers probably had the Champions vs Challengers format in mind and wanted one last challenge to get a good Champion male to recruit. I agree with you though, regarding ratings. At this point, watching paint dry is more thrilling than watching the usual JEK-dominated game.
I have to say, I really like KellyAnne in this challenge. She's a cool, level-headed power chick. I can definetly respect that, with all those prissy *****es like Johanna and Kimberly whining and playing up the guys in both teams.
After her "Island Reunion Performance", where she was throwing up gang signs in a drug-induced crazy fits and screaming out Kenny, she hit a new low in my book, but she has redeemed herself!! I like her now :P
I'm glad KA makes the end. She was my favorite girl coming into the challenge, but she went down a few notches in my book for how she's been to Cohutta...
I don't think Ev would turn down a chance. According to her blog, she can't wait to win Duel 3...
Thats what I'm saying.
None of the Island winners were INVITED to do the duel 2.
Do you really think Ev would turn down a chance to show off how amazing she thinks she is?
If every girl is scared to go against her, and even guys can't beat her, why should she not feel amazing?

Actually my understading is that she was invited and she couldn't do it because it conflicted with school. Ev is not one of these people who sit around all year waiting to be invited to do a challenge. She has other things going on for her.

I agree and didn't she say on the Island reunion that she was going to take a break. And in one of the first dailies for The Ruins, I remember her getting all upset when KellyAnne wasn't there saying one of the only reasons she did the Ruins was because of KA.
Now I'm sure she decided to come back on FM2 so she could redeem herself after The Ruins drama that occured.

She wasn't invited.
in the next episode of the ruins we will find out if casey is throwing missions or not and it will be a huge fignt between darrell and brad
Are you sure? You would think they would've shown it in the previews.
This week-
Silence of the ruins: the teams are tied and the challengers want to get rid of their weakest link before the final competition nears.
Next week-
Thai me up! Thai me down!: Tensions flare between Kelly Anne and Dunbar over unresolved issues. Meanwhile, Brad makes a decision that shakes up the competition.
Does Casey take out Johanna? No, that is impossible, true?
It has already been discussed who takes out Johanna. It is not Casey.
