Why that is his past. The future is the episode of the show he directed and they borught him in to do the episode because they liked his style not the people he has worked with. I think it's interesting to see what he will do with the cast that is their presently.
Chris shocked me at how good he sang as Kurt today. He could easily pull that female lead part off and do a great job. Artie deserved this episode and is a great singer as well. Hoping Harry Shum Jr. gets to do another dance solo.
Loooooooooved Proud Mary tonight. Reminded me of those good old nights in New Orleans during Mardi Gras...
On another note, they're doing a Madonna episode!!!!

I heard about that! Should be fun times :D

Amber Riley is an amazing talent, I heard she has her own CD coming out, I will definitely pick this one up. She did an amazing job with the national anthem as well.
The Madonna episode is going to be awesome, Quinn is doing Papa don't preach. Kurt is doing Vogue.
I loved last night's episode, Kurt and his Dad have some very touching scenes together. I love how they are handling Kurt's coming out, and I think it will help those experiencing the same things in their lives.
I also really liked Sue's storyline, and how touching was the scene where she was reading to her sister? That was really sweet :)
I cannot wait to see how Quinn's pregnancy turns out!
More Sandy with the chronic lady please!
I really like how they are handling Kurt's coming out too. Very truthful and hopefully encouraging to others going through a similar situation.
Sue's storyline had a great pay off. The whole time you were thinking how she was going to use and abuse this girl then instead you get a great insight into her character. I really liked it. In fact the whole tone of this episode I really enjoyed and I hope they continue with a similar tone and style as the show goes on. I like featuring more of the glee club and not focusing so much on the stupid fake pregnancy and the Rachel/Finn storyline. I really like Rachel but I think the show is helped when it's not all about her and you see as much of the inner workings of the rest of the club as you do her.
Did Quinn turn down the money from Mr. Schu's wife? I thought she was getting her to pay her bills since she was going to "adopt" the baby or did they drop that and I missed it since she hadn't told Finn about it yet? That whole storyline is too dang confusing especially with the added "who's the real baby-daddy" drama. A little less complicated would be nice.
LM, do you know what other songs they are going to feature or just the ones you mentioned?

Everyone is guessing that Rachel is going to do "Material Girl". I personally would rather have her sing "Erotica" :D

I love how they are giving the other cast members their time to shine, Rachel and Finn are great but so are all the others.
Quinn asked for money from Terri and Terri told Quinn no.
Not sure about the other songs I caught an interview with the actress who plays Quinn and she just talked about those 2 songs.
Ah right right, I remember that scene now in the car or something... I thought Terri was a jerk for turning her down! Like do you know how much it costs to adopt a baby? The least she could do is front the bills.
I think those two songs are the kind of obvious choices for the characters, but definitely fun songs, so I hope they bust out something unexpected from Madonna's catalog that maybe the whole glee club does. I'm excited and I'm not even a HUGE Madonna fan! :D
I'm totally hoping that they let the two other football players one being Harry Shum Jr. talk more. As there are only 12 members and they are also apart of the group. It was good that they let the blonde cheerleader talk and it was funny she paid for that cupcake. Mark Salling is potraying Puck so well, I hope he goes on to do other work as he is doing great. Can't believe the preview for next week "don't stand so close to me". Sweet Caroline by Puck was awesome.
Spoiler re: Puck from Ausiello:
Question: I need a Puck-centric Glee scoop! —Tammy
Ausiello: Next week, he spills his guts to someone that he’s the father of Quinn’s baby. And she doesn’t respond the way he expected.
I got a little teary-eyed when Sue was reading to her sister.. A very heartwarming moment :)
I'm glad the part of the cast we never hear talk actually had lines and parts in this episode!
Brittany got to talk but the other football players in glee are still just background. It's quite sad. I hope they get more opportunities to showcase their skills just like everyone else because they are both very talented.

Songs for tonight!! (From gleesongs.com)
Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison: "Endless Love" (Lionel Richie/Diana Ross)
Cory Monteith: "You're Having My Baby" (Paul Anka), "I'll Stand By You" (The Pretenders)
Matthew Morrison: "Don't Stand So Close to Me" (The Police)
Lea Michele: "Crush" (Jennifer Paige)
Cast: "Lean On Me" (Bill Withers)
I thought this episode was probably the best potrayal of that wife since the beginning of the show. It was awesome how they were singing how they felt. When Finn sang that song it was so funny and awkward in front of those parents. Lean on Me was a great song and I was glad they gave Artie the lead on the song. I think Puck is due for another solo agian now.
From Ausiello (what can I say, I'm catching up):
Question: Got any scoop on the Madonna-themed episode of Glee? —Jacob
Ausiello: Look for Rachel to sing five tunes by her Madgesty. And could a flesh-and-blood cameo be in the works? Maybe, since ”nothing has been filmed yet,” Michele said. “I am keeping my fingers crossed.” Um, exactly how many fingers does this girl have?
That performance of Imagine was the most moving perfomance this show has had so far. It was in my view an instant classic. The song imagine is awesome on it's own and with that group of students performing it just made it great.

ITA....it was a very touching moment.
I cannot wait to see Terri get what she has coming, ugh I cannot stand her, or her sister!
I liked their version of true colors it was really good. I also liked that the 2 cheerleaders Brittany and the other one had more of a role in the episode. I wanted to know if this would be the last episode Harry Shum Jr. or Mike Chang would be in or Matthew Rutherford's last episodes a they are listed as only being in 10 episodes? Also this is just an observation but Mercedes and Artie do allot of lead vocals on songs together.
I loved True Colors immediately from when I heard it, especially since Tina was singing it.. I'm so happy she had a solo song :dance3: and going back and listening to the music again, Imagine was very well done.. I loved these two songs from this episode.. I think I prefer True Colors over Imagine though :)

I watched it this morning (I won't get into the major problems I was having trying to see a good version) and thought it was great. I had listened to the songs beforehand, so the way that they actually did Imagine was awesome. And I'm glad that other people are finally starting to get their chops in like Artie and Tina. They all have great voices.
I'm still waiting for Jane Lynch to sing though...:D
By the way, they did a cover of Wham's "Last Christmas" on gleesongs.com that doesn't look like it's going to be featured on one of the episodes.
