My only problem is that they are supposed to be champions. I don't remember Abram or Alton being scared of an elimination round. Even if Syrus was the weakest, they are so-called champions. Why the heck should Syrus have to go in twice? Why should Darell have had to go in again, when they both had been in once. Even when they were doing nominations, Kenny was like "well, I haven't been nominated in a while, so i guess i'll go in." A true champ would have said, "What the heck, I'll go in". I do agree, they are VERY scared of the elimination round.

Yeah, I'm sure anyone is somewhat scared depending on who your going against, even people like Abe and Alton. No matter what a person says there is always the smallest piece of doubt in their minds. They can't be 100% sure they are going to win, even if they were to go against Casey :D
Evan went into 3 duels on The Duel 2 and also ended up winning the whole challenge. That doesn't speak disgrace for me. Johnny and Kenny have also won previous challenges before The Ruins. I just don't see why they are a disgrace for a "champion." They won, they are champions.

The best players avoid elimination rounds at all cost. It's a testament to their tenacity if they come out of them victorious or pile up a positive win/loss record, but in general nobody wants to go in.
Darrell won three challenges without ever going into an elimination round, even to the point of jeopardizing an individual mission on the Inferno 2 to make sure he wouldn't go in. In Fresh Meat he went in the final exile, but would have gladly avoided it if he could have, and then look what happened in Fresh Meat 2. One of the best players, one of the best partners, taken out in the first exile. Anything can happen.
CT, the almost unanimous pick for co-strongest male to ever do a challenge has been in 3 elimination rounds total. The one he chose to volunteer for, he had the benefit of seeing the format before deciding. He won the next one (Ascender duel) and lost the next on a technicality (Push Me duel). He's also gone two full challenges while not only avoiding elimination rounds, but doing everything in his power to control who goes instead of him.
Mike the Miz, big heart and soul guy right? 3 challenges where there were elimination rounds, and he was in a grand total of two.
There has been no challenger past or present that has looked forward to elimination rounds. Derrick, Wes, Abram, Alton, Mark, Timmy, etc. None of them ever 'wanted' to go in an elimination round.
You can't get mad at Derrick, Johnnie, Evan or Kenny for avoiding going into the Ruins on the Ruins. The fact is their generation is in control of the challenges. If they (the Challenge) get renewed, that may not always but the case, but it is for now, and they're just playing the game the way everyone has before them.

Well...you know what? I can except that. There's just something about Johnny that screams "coward/wifebeater".(The Island/Ruins), and there's something about Kenny that sscreams "Conceited/Moron"(Fresh Meat and Fresh Meat 2), and Evan cool. Derrick's okay.Believe it or not, I used to like them all. I used to think Johnny was fun. I thought Kenny was funny. I thought Evan was genuine and heroic. But now, when you put all them together, you get a big ball of crap. I was actually rooting for Kenny on Fresh Meat 2.(NO LIE). I rooted for Evan sorta on Duel 2. I rooted for Johnny on The Inferno 3 and The Gauntlet 3. But I can't enjoy watching them all together. I'd rather see the win alot elimination rounds and win without any type of alliance. That's a champion in my book. Not the guys who depend on each other to STAY OUT OF elimination rounds. I would have felt different I guess if they would have at least all went in 1. But they didn't. They sat around making fun of Sarah - while Sarah showed her competitive spirit.
Another lil point. While Sarah and KA were working on the puzzle in the final challenge. Evan just had to try and cheat by looking at their puzzles. He's a real Champion, huh? All five of them got lost. They're real champs, huh? :sarcastic_hand:
But, club sandwhich I can accept that. lol
How can you commend Kenny and Evan for staying out of the Ruins even though there was monetary incentive to go in! Cohutta had that huge bank account after sending home Wes, and none of them went after it. Darrell was the only one who had the balls to say "You know what, I want his money, I'm gonna go in against him and take it from him". Then those jamokes sat there and complained about how Susie got paid more than they did, when it was their own damn fault! They had several opportunities to make more money, and none of them took the risk.

For the record: I'm not commending JKE at all. JEK didn't care about the money incentive of going in and winning. They just didn't wanna go into the Ruins. They should have manned up and at least went in once. Instead they got Darell to go in twice, saying he wouldn't have to go in a 3rd time. After Cohutta's ruins with Darell, there were only supposed to be 2 male Ruins. Out of all 4 of them:JEKD, only two would have had to go in. Johnny is lower on the totem pole than Derrick,Kenny and Evan so he went in once. Derrick if not Johnny again, would have had to go in the other Ruins. Either way, JEK, was scared to go in. No one WANTS to go in. But, JEK were worried about going in. Their bark isn't as big as their bite. Just Sayin. I wish Brad wouldn't have been in that fight. Chances are he would have tossed Johnny around like a ragdoll. And he is lighter than most the guys, so I bet he would have been faster in kicking the bamboo on the "Muay Thai" Ruins. Just Sayin! lol
So what? They did what they did and they won. What more is there to say? You don't like it. Great, a lot of other people don't either. Why would Syrus have to go in twice? Because he isn't has good as the rest. Why would Darrell have to go in twice? Cause he's not in the alliance. That's all there is to it.

OK, well when you get the chance to play for big money, let me know if you'd "man up" and want to risk that, or if you'd rather have other people do it for you. And let me know if you wouldn't be nervous or scared about going in with a chance of losing all of the money that you had built up.
Personally, if I were playing for a large amount of money, I'd do whatever it takes to avoid going into an elimination round, period. Just because they don't go in doesn't make them any less of a man. It just shows that they had a good strategy of pawning everyone else off instead.
I think people have problems with what you are saying molds because this game USE to be all about competition and now it isn't like that. People just need to get over it.
Instead of JEK going in and saying"Lemme try to go in get some of this money.", they were like,"Look at all that money! Who wants It? (I don't.Cuz I don't wanna risk going home)". They played the role of chicken. Even when Wes promised to stop attempting to throw the missions, if they played the game "FAIR". But, they didn't wanna waste their precious scapegoat Wes. They wanted him to go into every Ruins or at least be eliminated before themselves. It should be based on skill rather than politics. In the end, on The Gauntlet 3, Johnny got a taste of his own medicine. He must've liked it to do it to others in future challenges. END OF STORY- CHAMPIONS=COWARDS

I thought you loved them from all your other posts, never would have guessed it ;) Another thing is that since they pretty much won every Ruins mission and at least two of them were nominated each time so they could always have the majority vote, I would call that strategy. It's not just about competing in elimination rounds.

I seriously can't believe you don't see the big picture here.
Let me ask you a question. Would you risk 50K for a shot of another 10K??
If I knew I could beat the person 9/10 times yes.
Lets be real here. Not one person knew what the ruin was going to be. If you had a choice of 3 cards then yes. If it could be kicking sticks then no way.

Yep! I hate JKE all on 1 challenge cuz they don't go in an elimination round and fight and give blood, sweat, and tears. And about them nominating only two of JEKD and/or Wes every time just so they could have the majority vote. I took note of that. It was a smart strategy. I just thought they would be fair to Darell and Syrus. But heck, it's alot of money on the line. I guess money talks. Fabolous, I thought I was the only one that saw how shady and sneaky JEKD are when they all get together on a challenge. Guees not. They only look out for each other, and whoever they are (bleep)ing. haha

If you can find me one person that doesn't think JEK are shady then I'll let you have it, but I was just saying I think being shady and manipulative is part of their strategy.

Way to stir the pot, Insider.
Everyone knows JEKD use other competitors as pawns, as they see fit, to prolong their stay in the challenges, and ultimately win!

If I were on a T-E-A-M, yes because it seems fair. I would have proposed that everyone should go in 1 time. Then were the cards fall, they fall. Remember, they're all supposed to be Champs! :victory:
Why not. Darrell is a personal trainer. The way all the ruins looked he knew he could beat Cohutta in any one. He has confidence.
That's right! Darell is and acts like a true Champion. He won 1st place on Fresh Meat 1. Evan proved himself on the Duel 2. Wes won the first DUEL.They won so they earned their Champions' spots. Johnny sucked on his first 3 challenges, and later somewhat half-a**ed redeemed himself on the Island. The silent game has been working for Derrick. However, Derrick proved himslef on The Gauntlet 2, until he came face-to-face with Mount Timmy.Kenny, Derrick,Johnny and Syrus have yet to win first place on a challenge. For the most part JEK should have been confident in their strength and experience, that they would win. But they were too worried they might actually lose against these rookies and challengers.
Heck, a true champ woulda' been like: "Hah! Lemme go take this fool's mone-e-y!" lol (I make myself laugh)

Thats right! She paved the way for many good rookies; such as Sarah,Brittni, Kellyanne, Kim, Jillian(even though Svety came after Jillian; Jillian was cast on the Rookies' team on The Gauntlet 3, took out 3 girls and her team won the final challenge.)
