Although, most of the time Ty acts as if he did.
Maybe he was dropped on his head as a small child and it comes back to haunt him every now and then? ;)
I hope he can return to the house and continue to play, however things are not looking very good for him. It's always bad to see people getting hurt in the challenges.
I hope he will be back too! He seems good, but just has bad luck.
I hope he will be back too! He seems good, but just has bad luck.
Yeah, I agree. In fact, in my opinion there were people that fell into the water in a nastier way, and he gets hurt in a fall that at first sight doesn't look dangerous.
On the Cutthroat Confessional, they said he hit his head on some part of the board on the way down first--that could explain the severity.
I didn't see the Confessional of the 5th episode yet, so I didn't knew of that. It can help to explain the severity of the fall, it's true.
I watched that part of the episode again, and yes, he feel awkwardly (most people fell over sideways, in the direction from which they had been coming, but he fell over backwards) and hit the back of his head on the support for the board.
Having a concussion generally requires that you hit your head on something, and I'm pretty sure Ty did not.
I thought I saw him hit his head when he fell over the chains. If not then I don't know what happened, but I don't believe he did that on purpose.
He returns to the house in the next episode (6th).
I think Chet is gonna get sent home this next episode.
I am not a fan of this guy. Chet talked a big game this show (based on..???) and wasn't man enough to tell mandi the truth about his vote. But it would be a shame if he's leaving due to injury... I really wanted to see if he could prove his skills in the gulag!

I really wanted to see if he could prove his skills in the gulag!
The talking a big game may have just been a way of not looking so much like a deer in the headlights. The way these people get into each others faces and personal business as part of a game strategy, I could see him being very defensive going in after being the first out last time. I wouldn't have told her either as I think early on I would just play undecided just to hear people lobby me to their side so I could figure out whose strategies I needed to watch out for.; either that, or I would tell everyone individually I was voting for them to create confusion when they went behind my back to talk votes--not sure which. I wouldn't mind going to the Gulag that much if I were on the show---could always use 10 pairs of Beats by Dr. Dre :)
He's not allowed to continue, that kind of sucks. It's always bad to see a person leave the show due to injury.
Begs the question, can you get worker's comp for a Challenge injury? I would hope they get some extra consideration for having been injured.

The cast has to sign contracts that are like 40 pages long that I'm sure probably mention how BMP is not liable in any way whatsoever for any injuries or deaths related to the Challenge.

Those boilerplate contracts can be gotten around if you ground your claim in tort or argue the contract was based on certain assumptions that proved not to be the reality, and a jury might very well not even bother to read and interpret a 40 page contract preferring to do what they see as right. I would like to think in Chet's case, they may have given him a little extra since he was kicked out due to an injury that was related to their faulty platform design just as a matter of good will.

Good will? Bahahahahahahahahahaha.
Can't say this is any big loss. I've never really found him entertaining. It's not like he's Coral or Evan...
I think he adds good things to the show and would like to see him come back.
I think that the tag zombie is a little to harsh. But when he was hurt, gosh, he really seems like one. I'm white also, but not as white as Chet. We can barely see his highbrows.
I was looking at covers of songs on Youtube, and one of them recommended a "Whip my Hair" cover, so I looked at it to see how someone could cover that song. And on the recommended videos of THAT song, I found: YouTube - Willow Smith - Whip My Hair (Cover)
I think he adds good things to the show and would like to see him come back.
Me too. Personally, he is one of my favorite cast members to be cast, since his season. I find his background interesting, I think he's funny, not afraid to speak his mind, but at the same time remain an all around good person. The show needs more like him. I'm truly disappointed he got sent home for injury. Even though he would have been sent in before Dunbar and Tyler, he had a chance of winning.
Chet's okay. Not my favorite person in the world because I felt like maybe he cowered in the shadow of Ryan too much on their RW season. He's interesting and sometimes funny. I disagree on the not being afraid to speak his mind part though--I think he puts on a facade--but I would like him better than I do a lot of the folks on the Challenges.

While I disagree, I dismiss that type of thing, it always happens with close friendships. Ryan was my favorite anyway, I think he was the best casting choice in a LONG time.

Ryan was my favorite anyway, I think he was the best casting choice in a LONG time.
I have always suspected that had Ryan not been recalled to duty during filming, he would have been portrayed as a darker, more jaded person in the final edit. He was kind of a selfish, condescending jerk toward Chet when they had their little fight as well (which is not unlike they way he is acting toward his fans now IMO). I think some of Chet's youtubes are pretty brilliant. Even though Ryan was supposed to be the funny aspiring filmmaker, I think Chet is outpacing him on those fronts and has a good attitude to boot.
