I never understood why Evan got so mad either. Nobody was forcing him to call out CT, and he knew it was a bad idea immediately. Why he willingly listened to Wes' idea, I don't know, but it's not like Wes screwed him over. I don't understand why he thought he was so justified in being angry with Wes, all Wes did was plant the idea in Evan's head. It was obvious that Evan wasn't comfortable with going against CT, as evidenced by the doodling on his hands.
"You're a meatball! You're goin' home!"
Evan was mad at Wes, not CT.
Evan said on the duel reunion that they did have an agreement; however Wes was going around saying Evan wanted to take CT in. Evan didn't want to. He said if he was at the bottom he would.
It was posted somewhere that the Beth DQ was decided afterward and that there was some confusion, because the rule about the flag being ripped and not unlatched wasn't clear.
But by his Duel, CT knew it would've gotten him DQed. I'm still more shocked CT didnt go for pole wrestle or even I can.. Push Me had the biggest DQ variable (as viewers could see..dont know from all the edited rules) from all of them, and he could've destroyed Brad in all of the other Duels.

CT didn't have a choice in that episode, or that's what I remember.
he had a choice and yeah in hindsight probably should have picked pole wrestle. But given his abilities and the opponent he was going against, it was a smart choice. Brad legit had no legs and CT had around 30 pounds on him. How was he supposed to know it was a nightmare to unclip the thing?

Didn't they just select cards with the duels on them? That would mean he didn't really have a choice. I wouldn't count it as a win in Brad's favor, though. He didn't beat CT. CT beat himself. Once again.

Now i may be wrong (which wouldn't be a surprise) but i'm positive in the final challenge, which was that paddle me one, the people who finished second (Wes/Jodie 1st. CT/Svetlana 2nd) get to then choose from the 4 different Duel games to face against the two who finished last (Brad/Aneesa).
CT ended up choosing Push me and Svetlana chose I Can.
I dont think CT wanted to choose the pole wrestle as it did seem anyone could win that (I think Brad actually beat Easy in that one) as it all depended on your grip. 'I can' would have been tricky as it was incredibly difficult to work out how much weight there was in the cart. So that leaves Ascender and Push me, CT was just worked up and forgot about the clip thing in the heat of the moment. He still made the right choice about the game though.

In the last challenge they did , the male and female winners (Wes and Jodi) were safe from the Duel, then the male and female in second place (CT and Svetlana) got to pick which Duel they competed in.
The only person who could of beaten CT in a strength based elimination round is prime Mark. Timmy and Darrell would have given him a good run for his money aswell.

Oh I forgot about that little twist. :D
I'm not entirely sure the challenges are predetermined. They're constantly trying to find ways to increase the ratings(Look how many times they've used CT for promotion and they promised a midseason twist which is completely false). It's not a stretch for me to think that they would as the season dwindles base a challenge that they think will draw in the most ratings
I think the "midseason" part meant sometime between the beginning and the end, not literally halfway through.
I think the "midseason" part meant sometime between the beginning and the end, not literally halfway through.
I mean, midseason means the middle of the season. If they were going to use him toward the end of the season, they should have said "end of season twist".
This is a question for Townie or really anybody that might know.... but does CT have a Twitter account ?? I saw on Derrick's Twitter, him and CT (CT TheOfficial is his Twitter name) having some kind of conversation about a poser who's been acting as CT on Twitter. But I don't know if this CT official is even the real CT. It's nothing really, but I was just wondering.

If Derrick was talking to him then I'd assume it's a real account but at this point CT_TheOfficial has been deleted so I'm doubting it. Or maybe CT didn't care for Twitter since Derrick wasn't announcing that account as a fake.
Townie, can we get some clarification. On the after show, the cast were saying Tyler beat CT. When it shows TJ unhooking them, they are clearly on CT's side of the barrel.

Actually asked this question in the episode 9 thread and Cystic said that CT won but just took 40 minutes to do it.
Also, if you watch in the episode you can see right before TJ unhooks them the barrel is knocked over and Brad has to scream "good fight guys" meaning that the two are on CT's side. I think Laurel might have meant it as a moral victory to Tyler just because he lasted 40 minutes whereas Bananas lasted 19 seconds.
But i would like to hear Townie's opinion, and whether CT was tired at all going against Tyler

Yea, I was pretty confident he won, I was just confused as to why they were saying, he beat Johnny and CT. I don't think CT would have been tired though. I mean 19 seconds isn't that self draining lol

ROFL !! That just sounds so bad... I don't care who he was going against. Johnny wasn't so bad in this Challenge and what does he get for not being so bad ??? A bad but atleast quick CT beatdown.
Well I'm pretty sure Derrick and Kenny are going to have CT on their Podcast so I think we'll find out all we need to know about that Gulag. However, I'm almost certain CT did beat Tyler or atleast was ahead when it was all over.

Exactly my thoughts at the time. That statement by Laurel made absolutely no sense, CT beat them both in that gulag. True, it was just basically a 19 second leg work out haha

I got a kick out of that daily showing Johnny's reaction to seeing CT. He's like, "This is so ****ed up, ******. Look at big Johnny bananas volunteering himself, doing the right thing." Best part was that he referred to himself as big, right after seeing CT walk in lol

Big as in noble.
I just think that's a convenient excuse for Tyler. If he "gave up" he would have given up a lot sooner. I think its the case that CT just completely wore him down and he had nothing left. But still major props to Tyler for not getting thrown around like a rag-doll. That's was definitely an impressive showing by him
And the dailies on the CT vs Johnny in the gulag are hilarious. I thought i would never say this but i actually feel bad for bananas. Him getting embarrassed in that fashion will be in his memory FOREVER

Yep, you don't just give up after 40+ minutes unless you're getting beat and worn down and that's exactly what happened to Tyler. But I agree, congrats to Tyler for putting up a good fight and not getting completely humiliated.

Not true, it was a stalemate. CT couldn't get to his barrell but Tyler had so far to go. he went in, proved a point, then was done.
CT did his best against Tyler. Tyler's always had tremendous endurance & decent strength but he's definitely increased both since the last time we saw him on Gauntlet 3; he was like 25 or 30 pounds bigger than when he lost to Frank in a tough battle.
The reason CT was able to do what he did against Johnny Bananas was because Johnny only weighs like 185 pounds and is several inches shorter than CT. Once CT got him in that position, Johnny was S.O.L. because his legs were way too far off the ground for him to have any chance at regaining his center of gravity.
Not true, it was a stalemate. CT couldn't get to his barrell but Tyler had so far to go. he went in, proved a point, then was done.
Yes, it was a stalemate but when they were done CT was way closer to his barrel than Tyler was his. That's all I was saying. And also, do you think Tyler would've quit if he was closer to getting to his own barrel, I doubt he would've. Tyler knew he was further away from his own barrel than CT was his and they weren't going anywhere so Tyler probably said the heck with this I'm done.
But like I said Tyler put up a heck of a fight vs CT and that in itself is somewhat of a victory and a huge blowout victory over Johnny so congrats to him for not getting thrashed like Johnny and for giving CT a match.
