I suspect that the bulk of the viewers do not read spoiler threads or Perez Hilton this far out. I suspect once the media day stuff starts rolling out around the premiere, people will start paying more attention. If MTV is lucky, someone like Bill O'Reilly will go off on this choice and what kind of example is this, etc etc and really get some new viewers in, and the crowd who would support that will respond in support and Real World gets renewed. This is a storyline that I think will get some mainstream media coverage before its over :)
Hopefully! Could save the series... It's actually an interesting issue they haven't tackled before (actually I haven't seen it tackled before ANYWHERE) so if they do this properly it could bring RW back to the old school "issues" kinda show that brought viewers in. And separate it from being considered the poor man's Jersey shore. BUT, the season is in Vegas. I'm afraid the real issues of the cast will get shuffled to the side and partying/hooking *************** will be the main themes. Again.
Hopefully! Could save the series... It's actually an interesting issue they haven't tackled before (actually I haven't seen it tackled before ANYWHERE) ....
True Life tackled and Tyra had a show on it once with the guy from True Life and some other person in the same boat (trying not to slip into a spoiler), but that is all I have ever seen. Based on the trailer, I think the more interesting part of this story is going to be its effects when his castmates found out as opposed to some "backstory" telling which makes me hopeful. For the rest, I fear that maybe some of the partying will be art imitating life (i.e. more these people trying to out-do the original Vegas than having legit in the moment heck-raising along the lines of freshmen trying to have the fun juniors and seniors have by faking it til they make it)
[strike]ill watch the first few episodes to see if its good[/strike] I'll watch the first few episodes to see if it's good.
I'm super excited :-) I was down in Las Vegas for about a week during the filming of the show. I was very blessed to go with a bunch of former alumni of the show to meet the new cast so i'm hoping to see myself somewhere in one of the episodes :-) I'll maybe post a photo later on so you guys can all keep an eye out for me too.. but if you see an episode where you have Kenny, Noor, Vinny, Derek, Brandon, Emilee and a few others all showing up randomly together at a club and hanging out with the cast... just look for the short blonde guy with glasses that is with them lol :-)
First sneak peek (from the opener, perhaps?) from Adam's Facebook:
Looks awesome! Doesn't Adam afraid about making so many spoilers?

Show's site is up: Real World XXV: Vegas | Full Episodes, Photos, Episode Synopsis and Recaps | MTV As expected, no "Back to" in the title. Press release with show info, contest info to be in the suite (apparently permanent like Cancun and the Palms), and cast bios: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/02/09/mtv-returns-to-las-vegas-as-the-25th-season-of-the-real-world-premieres-on-wednesday-march-9/82098 "Fans will have access to exclusive uncensored and unedited clips on The Real World Dailies, starting on March 4. Beginning March 9, sneak peeks of upcoming and previously aired episodes and weekly online after shows will be available online as well." Jon Murray's quote almost sounds like a plea to MTV for renewal.
From the second article, which is the best I have seen so far, looks like they all came from broken/bad families. Could be interesting, but I am not sure about the wisdom of sending people with these backgrounds into Vegas. Feels to me like some people may have been set up to be dealt setbacks in life because they appeared on this season. I don't know.

Seriously, they definitely looked for some people who came from broken/drug-addled homes this time around. It's pretty crazy.

Jon Murray's quote almost sounds like a plea to MTV for renewal.
For some reason this irks me but I wanna clear this up. Here's why there's no "Back to" title: It's not important that they're going back to Las Vegas. The reason why Season 10 was "Back to New York" was because the show celebrated their 10th season/10-year anniversary. Their ad campaign for the tenth season was coming "full circle" and to celebrate the 10th season of the show, they are going BACK to New York (where the first season was held), hence, Real World 10: Back to New York. There's no reason for them to mention that they are going "Back to" Vegas, or "Back to" New Orleans. Sure they technically ARE going back, but there's no significance of them going back, it's just another season that happens to be in a city they've been to before. So I don't think they're necessarily ignoring Season 12, but there really is no need for them to mention that they're going back to Las Vegas. Not to mention that season aired almost 8 years ago now, they've surely generated tons of new viewers since then who probably don't really care (or don't bother to want to know) about seasons past.

I guess Adam can afford a breach of contract? V, can you enlighten us? Can he get in trouble? (Not that he cares).
Just read the Cast Bios on the official website, and I find it interesting how 6 out of the 7 roommates had a history with drugs, either themselves or their parents, and the last one had a drinking problem. It'll be interesting seeing people with these pasts put in Vegas.
From this new commercial I am guessing they all found out via Skype that they were on the show or going to be in Vegas.
After watching the preview and the commercial, it looks like the guys are gonna run this season.
There is a video of the "House Tour" up on the MTV site now: House Tour | Video | MTV Definitely is a pretty sweet penthouse.

Wonder when they're going to post the cast profiles up on the website. And by that, I mean the 2-3 minute videos they normally post for each cast member that shows some parts of their interviews with BMP. With only a week remaining until the opener, I thought it'd already be up. Maybe they're not going to this season for whatever reason.
Anybody know when the dailies usually go up?.
Anybody know when the dailies usually go up?.
I always thought they did it about the time of the premiere on the east coast, and then add the new ones around 11-noon est thereafter.
Anybody know when the dailies usually go up?.
On the 4th
I was reading a stupid mtv.com "prediction" of the show and it says they predict Heather will find out her own about Dustin's past. Is it possible that somebody saw it on vevmo? And we outed him?
When do you think they'll start having episodes with the replacement?
