The Challenge: Rivals - Jenn Grijalva

Dude, none of us knows why they broke up; however, what all of us know is that she tore Adam into pieces! Wow, I literally had to turn my face away when she was saying those things about Adam the King because they were so venomous. Wow, poor Adam, he even said that it wasn't the first time he was humiliated on National TV.
It really sounded like a lot of the things she was saying were to "save face," as if she was too hot for Adam and she should have "better standards." I think it backfired, because as overzealous and creepy as Adam was about the whole thing (I can only hope he was very drunk when he was saying those things about how they would be having breakfast naked if it wasn't for the house), she really came off looking like the villain.
Adam said Jenn and Pete's relationship is irreparable. The Challenge: Rivals Episode 5 - Ill-Communication Here is one paragraph of his blog on the subject. I have learned the hard way that when I launch into an emotional rant, although seemingly appropriate at the time, I almost always regret it the next day. Immediately after watching this episode (Episode 5), I went to the computer and began typing a hate-filled tirade that would have made Mel Gibson blush. I’m not trying to make this out to be more than it is. This is not the first time I’ve been embarrassed on national television, and it probably won’t be the last. The reason this particular event is generating such a visceral response from me is because I was almost completely blindsided by it. Jenn didn’t want to be caught in another relationship on camera, or on a Challenge. I understood that and I honored it. Her last relationship with Pete from Fresh Meat 2 ended with an explosive, vitriolic diatribe that rendered their relationship irreparable. As a result, I made it a point to say as little as possible to everyone. Sure, occasionally I would chop it up with the guys, but everyone knew I was attracted to her and I had to give them something. After all, we were sleeping in the same bed! CT even helped me out on more than one occasion, running interference so I could get some alone time with her. That’s why it’s so difficult for me understand why she would have that conversation behind my back. She knew the cameras were there, and she knew footage of her insulting me would likely be used in some capacity during the show.
What is wrong with Jenn this season? I was a big fan of her ever since Inferno 3 when she was the scrappy rookie who was fearless in elimination rounds. Now she is mean and arrogant. I want the old Jenn back :(
It seems like the challenge changes people the more they are on, or else their true colors are finally showing through...
Jenn said she hadn't seen an elimination in the last three challenges for a reason. Didn't she go into an elimination on FM 2? And, despite making it to the final on at least three separate occasions, didn't her team finish dead last every time? I'm pretty sure she's one of those people Evelyn talks about, who is concerned solely with getting to the end and doesn't put a single thought into the final.
At first I thought the whole thing was kind of funny because of the two vastly different ways each person felt about each other before they slept together... like how Adam thought it meant Jenn had serious feelings for him since they slept together whereas Jenn saw it as nothing serious and it was just two friends having some fun. But then I re-watched it and listened to some of the stuff Jenn said in the kitchen to the other girls, and she made a comment that made it pretty clear that she knew Adam had serious feelings about her the whole time and it came off like she basically just cuddled with him out of pity or something and not because she liked him. Absolutely cold as ice! I actually thought Adam took the high road and was very respectful of her in his blog and how he worded things... had to bust out the thesaurus a time or two, but still, it showed he had genuine feelings for her because he still chose not to cut her up after seeing what she said about him. I know I've said some stuff about Adam pertaining to his run-ins with CT in the past, but when it comes to how he'd treat a girl in a relationship, he seems like the kind of guy that you wouldn't care at all if your sister dated a guy like him. It's pretty ****ty of Jenn to sit there and act like her standards are much higher than somebody like Adam when in reality, he'd treat her a lot better in a relationship than somebody she'd consider to be good for her and her "standards."
The thing about Jenn trying to sound cool and so above-it-all in front of the girls is that she ended up coming off so mean that it was embarrassing. At first I was embarrassed for Adam, but as it went on I actually became embarrassed for Jenn, because she was making herself sound like a completely terrible person in front of millions of people.
You guys really need to understand that both Jenn and Adam got an edit, which only shows bits and pieces of what happened. Who knows what else was said/done, but the edit they received made good tv so that's what was shown and it was done to receive the exact reactions as it's getting from everyone. Nobody knows what else was said except those in the house so why not wait and see if there was anything that wasn't shown and then judge Jenn/Adam. It doesn't change the fact that Jenn said those things, but who cares? People don't go on these shows looking for love and the fact that Adam has held onto hope with Jenn for three years IS a little weird...
Jenn's evisceration of poor Adam on The Challenge this week made me realize that Jenn With Two N's is the greatest cast member in the history of the show. Let's flip this around: What DOESN'T she bring to the table? She's looks great. She stays in shape. She's great at challenges and would never disappoint T.J. by quitting. She can flip on the Irrational switch and "Don't You Raise Your Voice At Me!" switch faster than anyone. She has the whole "are those implants or are those real?" mystery going (it's never been solved). She parties as hard as anyone -- she's always up for doing shots, truth-or-dare, getting naked in the pool, or walking naked alongside the pool to show off for the ***** cameramen. She gets along with everyone but would also feud with anyone (even people in her alliance). She'll hook up with anyone male or female without getting attached; as soon as they like her too much, she becomes disgusted and moves on ... which is why Evan compared her to a praying mantis this week. She's either incredibly mean or refreshingly honest, depending on how you want to look at it. And best of all, she spells her name with two N's. Add everything up and she's one of the most terrifying forces in the world right now. I feel like I could run into her somewhere, and within five minutes, I would leave my family, hand her my checkbook and say, "Here, take it, spend whatever you want," just because she laughed at one of my jokes. It's probably safer for me to just trade for Jenn With Two N's over having her ruin my career, my family and my savings account. Connor -- what do you want for her?
via
Can she speak Spanish? Since she's Puerto Rican.
via
I completely agree with that quote, she's a pretty good character for a reality tv show, it could perhaps be even better if she did a couple less challenges in a row, but seeing her every challenge definitely won't kill me so that's fine ;)
I don't understand why people are shocked about what she said about Adam. First off, Adam is pretty pathetic and he is getting exposed this season really bad. Come on Adam man just man up and have some dignity. Now on to Jenn, she been this way for the past few challenges. I think she's letting her 'vet' status really get to her head. She goes to the rookies every challenge and talks about how much of a vet she is and how she has all the votes and can coast through to the final. If I was a rookie, the first thing I would say to that is "***** how has that worked out for you so far?".

Because he won't forget that CT tried to kill him and, now, wants to be his friend, but Adam won't forgive that kind of disgusting behavior? He's had a crush on Jenn for years. I believe it's genuine. Jenn told him he could come and cuddle with her in her bed. From that, he thinks she's interested. Why wouldn't he? She basically led him on. Then, she slams him behind his back. That is extremely two-faced! Yes, Jenn is a black widow, but whatever.
Well I think Adam is just really 2-faced, because CT obviously has the impression they are getting along well while he's talking mad **** behind is back. And the rest can be discussed in Adam's topic :p And she was obviously very drunk when she said he could come cuddle. And it is exactly what Jenn said afterwards, just a challenge thing, to get through the time there. Everyone probably realized that except Adam.

Adam is giving 100% in the missions. That's all CT should expect from him, considering that he tried to beat the heck out of him over nothing! He should not be expecting a friendship out of this. If I was Adam, I certainly would be his friend. Anyway, Jenn wasn't drunk. She just doesn't dig Adam, so she shouldn't have led him on like that. I like Jenn, but she can be an ******* sometimes.

Adam did take the high road in his blog. Good for him. Jenn came off looking very stuck-up and arrogant IMO.

Didn't like her at first, continued disliking her, then thought... maybe she is okay, to realize, no I definitely do not like Jenn. Veronica and Jenn are on the same level of dislike for me.

Of course, she could just be getting a "bad edit"....
I never really liked her attitude since Denver. She acts like she has won challenges and missions but the only thing I recall her winning is that mission with Noor where he did all the work. Big deal she beat Ryan and Theresa in FM2 and a few weak girls on Inferno 3. She needs to be more humble.
I have no idea what to make of her at times, she seems cool but at other times I think she can be a jerk, I felt so bad for Adam!

Well here's why: First of all he seems to be a gossipy person who loves to talk behind peoples backs, he's been this way ever since I first saw him, and then turns around and play the victim card. I believe this is what CT has picked up on since RW Paris and thats why they've always had problems over the years. Then, secondly he almost wants people to feel sorry for him, **** he's almost been begging for pity this whole season. He's gone up to several people in the hopes that they feel sorry for him cus CT is his partner. Just recall his convo with Wes after Wes/CT argument, and also other occasions when he's talking with JEK his so called 'friends'. Thirdly, he naive as ****. He's on the same boat as Sarah, Laurel, and Paula. They all think their 'friends' Kenny, Evan, and Johnny will look out for them in the game and take them to the finals. This is offtopic, I'm sorry but it had to be said. I can see right through this guy and I completely understand why CT has had a problem with him. (However, I don't condone smashing his head in and eating it) P.S. I almost forgot about the whole Jenn thing, but that obviously makes him look pathetic. Have some dignity and don't throw yourself at a girl's feet. Hard to believe he's one of the older guys there, he came off acting like a teenager.
Ah, the perfection of pontification based on few, if any, tangible facts and plentiful conjecture from the all-knowing, yet anonymous, Internet. But, of course, it has to be said...
Didn't like her at first, continued disliking her, then thought... maybe she is okay, to realize, no I definitely do not like Jenn. Veronica and Jenn are on the same level of dislike for me.
Comparing Jenn to Veronica is a little harsh...Jenn is not nearly as manipulative as Veronica (if she were, she probably would have won a challenge by now). Jenn also has never tormented somebody for an extended period of time like Veronica's done to Katie and Tonya. Also, I think Veronica is more of a wuss than Jenn is.
I used to be a HUGE fan of Jenn back during Duel 2, but I think I felt bad that she was on the "outs" of the main alliance. Now I'm not too fond of her. Like someone mentioned, she acts like she's this total challenge bad ***, but she hasn't won any. She said something in the most recent episode about how, "I haven't gone to an elimination round for 3 challenges." I know she didn't go on Cutthroat, but didn't she go on FM2?
I hate how people keep using the "hasn't won a challenge" thing as an excuse to put her down. So she likes to act like a challenge Vet, well, she is a Vet and she's loud and in your face, so I'd say she's a bad ***. Nobody **** on Brad before he won a challenge, people don't do it to CT, Aneesa, Tina, Beth, etc. I know they all act different but it's the same situation. Stop saying she can't act a certain way because she hasn't won a challenge. She's a good competitor and is excellent tv, and the excuse is getting really tiring and old.

They key thing here is that Jenn seems to be looked at as this amazing competitor, because she's won a bunch of elimination rounds and made it to a few finals. Looking at who she's beaten, the only one who was halfway decent was Kim. In terms of finals, she's disappointed twice in a row, despite having who was supposed to be the best guy from the Fresh Meat 2 cast. I don't think Jenn's bad, but she definitely isn't as great as some may think. In comparison to the people you've listed, well I don't actually see people ******** on Beth, Tina, or Aneesa for never winning one considering Tina and Aneesa didn't have the endurance and Beth was never looked at as someone who'd even make it a final, let alone win one (for some reasons athletically and others involving backstage things). Brad and CT had legitimate reasons to not be looked down on since their losses for the most part had to deal with dumb rules including soccer kick offs and the whole "you can't leave someone behind" rule. Jenn's excuses have been "We're tired" and "If I had a guy on my team, I would have won," which also isn't that true since they were still behind a non-moving gray team who had to go back and do 2 extra miles of work. I don't know, she's just annoyed me with some comments over the last few challenges (just watch the last Cutthroat fake after show for a few of them). I don't hate her, but I don't like her really either.

She hasn't gone in an elimination in the past few seasons of the challenge, she's mediocre at the challenges, is hugely conceited for no reason. The people you named besides CT (besides Tina who they DO give **** to) don't go around talking about how great they are and acting tough. She's too obnoxious with nothing to support her cockyness.
