I think most people just watched the show for the sake of watching it and with Thanksgiving, they either forgot about the show or realized that they don't have to watch it every week.
But stuff like this at least makes me chuckle with how some of the cast was bragging about how great their debut did.
Per the comments on TV By The Numbers:
“Wasn’t The Real World new last night? Did they not make the list?”
"Not in the top 100."
There is one more season left on contract? I have a feeling it will be the last season. Even if it gets good ratings, the inconsistency from season to season can't sit well with advertisers. Also, MTV has a lot of success with the Teen Mom series, and they are green lighting more and more scripted series.

The Real World (1.325 million viewers; adults 18-49: 0.8)

No word on the 11pm show...BMP will have to release that themselves.
So why wouldn't it be shown on the other site? Has that happened before?
Maybe they just didn't have all the information. Here's an update from their site:

I would go with that. I have yet to see a lie Futon Critic has posted.

If next season can do as well as Vegas did, I see MTV still holding on to the show... but ordering the seasons one at a time, like what they're doing with the Challenges now. But I don't know if that's a good thing because that means they'll be much quicker to let it go as soon as the ratings slip.
After Challenge 22 and Real Wordl 28,I pray they let the franchise die because I feel we've seen every storyline imiginable and all the drama and twists the challenge has to offer,It's time to hang it up This Challenge and Season 28 are enough
Real World preimiers in April-May
Challenge over the summer
Real World premiers in September
They can end by the end of the year.
With the 20th anniversary coming up, i think it's appropriate that they just go back to basics. They editing, casting, and overall feel of the show just feels like a ****** preteen drama. just go back to 7 dynamic individuals with stories to tell and let them unfold.
My channel guide says The **** They Should Have Shown is airing after the last episode next week at 11 PM. Has this ever happened before? I always recall this airing after the reunion. Did the reunion get canceled/suck so much and isn't airing?

IIRC the DC **** They Should Have Shown aired after the penultimate episode and then the reunion aired after the final episode the next week. and for Cancun The **** They Should Have Shown aired after the final episode.

That sounds about right. Vegas 2.0 had the season finale, reunion, and **** they should have shown on separate weeks. Seems like they're going for the complete opposite effect this time around. It definitely appears that they want to get this season over with ASAP.
EDIT: Based on thread dates here, NOLA 2.0's timeline was the same as Vegas 2.0.
Someone on TVbythenumbers said this about both episodes:

Yikes
I just think the show just needs ONE crazy season, like the Denver or the orignal Las Vegas to grab everyones attention again. Doubt it'd happen though.
Let's just hope they don't pull a "Viewer's Revenge" and come up with some wacky idea to reinvent the series and actually make it worse in the process.
Imagine being able to vote off room mates and getting new ones instead.

Since it is filmed ahead of the air date to allow time to faux edit for the proper Subway audience, I doubt that would ever happen.
Yikes

Las Vegas 2 and New Orleans 2 were both GREAT season that had awesome ratings, this season just is boring and not what people want to see.

I really wish I were mean enough to tweet Frank that link right now...

God, I hated the original Vegas. I only liked Frank. I was never able to tell the difference between Irulan and Arissa. Alton was nice but he didn't really do much. Trishelle, the other girl and the last guy added some drama, but the season just wasn't that entertaining after 6-7 episodes.
In one word, Las Vegas 2011 was better.

and I don't disagree with that. I'm ALWAYS praising the 2011 Vegas season. But in terms of craziness, the orginal was much more crazier imo and that is what attracts more viewers... which goes back to my whole point of needing a crazy season to bring back in those viewers that the show lost over the years.

Wouldn't be any meaner than the crap he pulls on Twitter.
Vegas I was just more edgy for its time with all the sex. Vegas II was more edgy TV because we had a gay **** star. I gave up on NOLA II and DC mid-way because they were much like SD II--same silliness by the same couple less than interesting cast members wile others were just Pier One props scattered about the place. I want a season cast like a circus show.

You're not gonna get that next season.
Ratings from TVByTheNumbers:
1.397 viewers; adults 18-49: 0.9
Compare this to the last few season finales:
Las Vegas: 2.180 (1.2)
NOLA: 1.708 (0.9)
DC: 1.100 (0.6)
Cancun: 2.049 (1.2)
Not good. I suspect next season will be the last.
