Does anyone know what ever happened with Sydney? I didnt see any of them in the trailer. Were they sent home before the show started?
Apparently so. If I had to take a guess, they'll do some kind of thing at the start saying "As you know, Team Sydney was sent home before filming because blah blah, here are there replacements"

If I had to take a guess, they'll do some kind of thing at the start saying "As you know, Team Sydney was sent home before filming because blah blah, here are there replacements"
I wouldn't be surprised if they did what they did in FM, saying someone couldn't get into the country and replacing them with Ev. BTW, who was originally casted off FM who didn't get aired?

Perhaps if BMP was able to write them out completely with no mention whatsoever, they didn't have to pay them. Just a thought...

On a side note, even if it isn't mentioned, will we ever be informed of what said reason was? :)
I get that much, but the fact that the wild card team seems to be playing dumb at least to me implies that they're not supposed to be revealed yet.
Hard for them to play dumb when they've been seen in the trailer. You can clearly see Cara Maria and her knee socks in the background when Frank is in Wes' face. None of the other guys even come close to Eric's size so he's easy to pick out. And Camila's signature accent is at the very end. The only one who could really play dumb is Brandon. The others playing dumb is just stupid unless they were specifically told to act that way. The only reason I can think of them playing dumb is that they might actually address the Sydney *******.
On a side note, even if it isn't mentioned, will we ever be informed of what said reason was? :)
Maybe, if someone else hints at it. I was given a very basic explanation but do not know who specifically on the Sydney team screwed up. And I'm not sure it is something that should be revealed...

If it's not that, then I have no clue as to what it could be. I also am taking a wild guess but am assuming it was Isaac who screwed up, simply on the grounds that I think it'd be easier to replace the girls than the guys and he seems more loopy than Dunbar. Edit: I'd also like to point out that 11 teams of two went home, which seems odd since they have never done more than 10 elimination rounds. Is it possible that there was another disqualification in there?

For one reason or another I feel like Mckenzie could have been a suspect of quitting because in the trailer you see her on the phone with her saying "I can't rely on my teammates." Why else would she be using the phone unless she needed to call home for something serious. I mean production doesn't really let the cast use the phone unless its for something serious. I don't know just a hunch. After all New Orleans is the most emotionally unstable team of the 8 that are there.

Regarding Sydney, I just don't get why they didn't kick off the one person and replace that person with a Fresh Meat substitute. If their only other option was to go against the Seasons format by creating a ragtag team of Fresh Meat, Fresh Meat II, and Spring Break, why not just keep 3 Sydney team members and say so-and-so is subbing?
I love the fact that most of the people are so close after the challenge. Looks like Zach made the most friends.
To get back on topic then, based on the last shot in the trailer of a team of 4 walking up the hill to a flag on top (which was very similar to the final shot of the Exes trailer that showed Johnny/Camila winning), can we say at this point that Dustin/Trishelle did not win?
No
No
Yes, we can.
Remember when everyone thought Johnny won Exes, and it turned out he did? Well everyone already assumes San Diego won. Don't be surprised when we find out that they did.

I wonder why Zach and Ashley broke up. I remember back when they were on Derrick's podcast already talking about their strategy as a power couple. But I think Jonna makes a more interesting match. She's just more interesting period. Zach and Ashley were all about not playing horizontal on their season. Think it will be the same with Zach and Jonna? I doubt it. he he. Zach seems so well liked on the challenge, yet so hated on his season. Jemmye also seems loved by all. Even Wes and Cara Maria praise her. Speaking of Cara Maria, she wrote this comment on twitter mocking the bad girl clique. Then she kind of played it off. Doesn't it seem like she makes these comments on her twitter to provoke and then she plays innocent once she gets negative feedback and attention for them?
Molds, I know you mentioned that some Road Rulers were asked about the challenge, but do you know specifically if the Campus Crawl cast was asked? I only ask because out of all Road Rules seasons, its the only cast in which I can see two males and females wanting and willing to come back (Rachel, Kendal, Darrell and Shane). I also ask because Shane had some cryptic stuff going on on Twitter around the time right before departure. As for the Sydney thing, I would agree that it was probably Isaac who messed up. I'm very surprised they wouldn't replace him with Cohutta, but obviously Cohutta wasn't interested. I'm sure they could have pulled in Shauvon if it was a girl that was cut.

I know Shane told one person he was going to be on the challenge, but the departure date he gave was so far off I knew it wasn't valid. I do know that if there were to be a RR cast, it would have been a generic one, not one from a specific season.
Molds, what about the Denver cast? You said they season was talked about. So I was wondering if you knew who from the cast they wanted.
Frank from VEGAS 1
Did Sydney have any alternates? If they did, wouldn't it suggest who the person was, or at least hint at what the gender is of that person? Say an alternate was Shauvon. Then, it would most likely be Isaac/Dunbar who got them kicked off, because if it was a girl, they could have just replaced her with Shauvon.
Molds, what about the Denver cast? You said they season was talked about. So I was wondering if you knew who from the cast they wanted.
I believe their ideal 4 was Jenn, Colie, Tyrie, and Davis.
Frank from VEGAS 1
What about him?
Damn, Kind of bummed out that Sydney isn't even going to be shown on TV. I thought they were sent home before the first mission due to an altercation or something. And it seemed like Cara Maria was playing dumb on Twitter yesterday about being on this challenge.
In the Finals we have: Team San Diego: Most likely won. They have 2 athletic guys and Sam & Ashley don't appear to be out of shape, they look like they can handle a final. But being physically fit isn't enough to win a final. I wonder how well they do at puzzles and how well do they work as a team overall. Team Brooklyn: Shocked to see them in the final but they obviously must have earned their spot in the finals so they must have done well as a team. If they won I would be surprised but not entirely. Sarah and Chet are proven veterans (That's right I said it Chet's a proven vet he did really well on Cutthroat but was sent home because he suffered a concussion in the 5th challenge) and I think Devyn will suprise a lot of people this season. Team Las Vegas (Dustin & Trishelle): They obviously earned their spot in the finals and maybe a team of 2 has the advantage not a lot of baggage to worry about, but if the final requires carrying a lot of weight that could be their downfall. But sadly I see them resembling Emily & Jenn on the Cutthroat final, meaning they'll finish dead last.

I'm not 100% sure they aren't going to be shown on television, but I would think they would not show a team sent home before anything started. Production was delayed a few days and everything was reshot - including the explanation of the rules and opening sequence.
Did Kelly Anne and Ashlee just not want to work with Dunbar and so quit? I could imagine that.
Did Kelly Anne and Ashlee just not want to work with Dunbar and so quit? I could imagine that.
No.
There sure is a lot of trash talking on twitter from the rookies and the vets. Can't wait for the next challenge.
So far all we know someone F'ed up on team Sydney could it be possible one or two of them did something that was against the rules in their contract(s)?
Zach and his comments just getting annoying. I hate JEK and I'm happy they are not on this Challenge but I really hope someday they will kick his *** in some new season.
I don't see what is so wrong with his comments. He's standing up for himself and the rookies. Jasmine also had something to say as well.
