" why didn't everyone just gang up on San Diego?"
1. Noone wants to go head to head with SD (unlike vs Jonna) or get blindsided in the process, so committing to a scrap is tentative.
2. Derrick is allied with SD and I don't think any of those left really wanted to lead the charge on SD, or the other 2 man team tough best suited to (JD/Chet) couldn't. That's a fitting reason why Frank said him and Zach were laughing. Anyway, once DQ's happened, that's the direction preferred to continue by all others. This speculation fit the order of elimination:
Chet/JD
Dustin
Robb
Derek
"Stupid....No reason at all... no real reason to"
Even though I'm ecstatic to see Marie/Robb go, I'm hesitant to back the decision but I can think of a few reasons why.
-advantage in the final: keep Brooklyn's anchor, Devyn
Yeah Brooklyn would go in with a 2 man team, but its not in guaranteed to be disadvantageous. What is known is that Brooklyn WILL lose Devyn. It was shown they were planned to go in before the announcement and they likely won't beat Dustin/Trishelle.
-ensure bid to the final: remove an arena threat
it was actually noted that SD wanted to get rid of one of the less physical arenas to better ensure their final bid. (altho like a previous post, I wonder why not get rid of strategy since Zach can give Ashley more time/chances in the water in the mental game than anyone in the house)
-ensure final bid & aid the final: catering to Sam
I think Marie's apology was sincere as her drunk antics, but that aside, Sam wants her gone and SD would have a motivation to keep her appeased going into the final.
Is this a spoiler? Cus I'm about to be SO ****** if it is.
I want to start by saying that I am not a fan of Frank's at all, I hate his drama and don't like how he acts at all- very immature. But I do think he felt bad for putting Marie in, he should have had them put it to a vote and then it woulda been 3 to 1 (although not sure exactly where Ashley stood on this one) but at least he could say he didn't agree to putting her in.
What I don't like is that he asked Robb which arena he thought they would win in and then San Diego goes and picks the one he didn't say. Strategically a great move for them, but don't ask and pretend like you care if you aren't going to go through with it.
I like how Zach and Jonna were getting mad about Brooklyn trying to take out Cancun during the challenge...not like their alliance has pulled anything like that before haha.

He was saying that if Devyn and JD went in against Dustin/Trishelle, Brooklyn would have lost.
He was saying that if Devyn and JD went in against Dustin/Trishelle, Brooklyn would have lost.
Phew, okay. Almost thought Team Brooklyn fell apart I was so mad/upset. :(
Based on the sneak peak at the end of the episode, it looks like the last Arena is Knot So Fast and it is during the day in the desert. Can't make out who competes in it tho. Looks like Zach because the guy competeing in it has those long white leg warmers on and Zach has worn those in both of the Arena's he has gone in to.
Yeah Zach and Sam were totally in the wrong last night. But Marie was drunk and they should've known that and discarded their approach.
That's what happens when you get a little money and mission wins in your belt---their ***** get cocky.
I honestly think Sam was keeping that bs anger to secure a call perhaps for a future challenge. Rivals 2 perhaps or even just as a way for others to remember her, lets face it...she can never be cast again and no one would notice.

Yeah, I like Sam for the most part, but I was rolling my eyes at her whole "I hate Marie" schtick.

TY
I should def use won't/wouldn't around here :o
Phew, okay. Almost thought Team Brooklyn fell apart I was so mad/upset. :(
In a way, it kinda is. Sarah should've volunteered if Brooklyn had been chosen. That makes me think they're worried about Devyn in the final.
I think the reasoning behind sending in St. Thomas is that San Diego thought a Sarah/Chet pair would be a force to be reckoned with.
That would make sense. Since Chet/Sarah has done very well as a pair...maybe they did make the right choice.
I absolutely love this season! I might be the only person who really doesn't mind Frank. And I absolutely love Zach, especially when he's in the background just laughing at all the nonsense. Zach is also a great competitor. I hope they are both in the next Challenge, and it will be interesting to see them playing with the likes of CT, Johnny, etc.

You aren't. I don't mind Frank either.

Ditto, he doesn't bother me. I love rooting against him, but it's nice having somebody to root against.
Yeah, I like Sam for the most part, but I was rolling my eyes at her whole "I hate Marie" schtick.
Ditto. I however love Sam. She's one of the people you like on her intiail season but hate on subsequent shows, i.e. Dunbar and Tori.

Not necessarily. Sam did pretty good but didn't get a storyline until the tail end of this season.
I like Frank as well. He's immature & obnoxious as **** some of the time, but I don't hate him whatsoever. And he's hot, so he has that going for him.
If Frank is indeed in the next challenge with Johnny and Ct I hope they both eat him alive. He wants to pretend like he's a mastermind well I want to see him compete against real competitors.

if they were this strong force, wouldnt that be a better choice for them to knock out Dustin/Trishelle? For mental, JD would be a better choice as opposed to Chet. If they wanted to get rid of strategy, they could have done that, hope that Devyn/JD dont volunteer, and choose Sarah/Chet to take out Vegas.

I think Team San Diego knew that Devyn and JD would have gone in. Brooklyn has their **** together.
Like I said before, Brooklyn kicked San Diego's butt in that log challenge, which was closest to a final. The easiest final win would be to have one four person team there or get rid of Vegas. Why get rid of St Thomas? It's still not smart strategy.
I disagree Camille. That mission was a mini-final and Devyn almost looked dead, I'm not sure she'd have the endurance to pull it out in a final. They won because of Sarah's strategy, Cancun, SD, and Vegas were all ahead of Brooklyn. **** even STT was at one point. I love the girl, but Devyn definitely looks like she'd hold her team back in a final.
I don't think anyone, especially SD, would want Chet & Sarah competing against them in a final. They have concerns about Sam and don't want Brooklyn to be without Devyn. Devyn's awesome but she admitted she didn't have any time to prepare for this challenge and likely won't be able to handle a final. The log challenge did not look good for her chances.
I listened to Robb's interview on andrew's radio show and he says that he and Brooklyn/Vegas were trying to get Derek out first so Cancun went straight in and then he wanted Brooklyn to win because he knew they were going to throw in San Diego. It also looked like Marie was helping Brooklyn shove Sam & Ashley out.
Now I think Robb/Marie were thrown in because they broke the alliance in the challenge.

Whatever, I like how San Diego acts like everyone else has to honor their alliance except for them. Marie helped Brooklyn knock San Diego out in the challenge because what else was she supposed to do?! Jump out herself? Please.
I think everyone understands that people will stick with their alliance until it's their own *** on the line; then you gotta do what you gotta do.
You know what I kinda just realized the other day. I have really enjoyed seeing Devyn this season. At first, I thought she would be horrible, and although she isn't great, she has done much better than I expected and she is hilarious.
I really hope either Brooklyn or Vegas wins.

This!!! Sam had the nerve to call Marie the c-word for taking out San Diego, but it was a-okay for her and Ashley to take out Jonna. They didn't even give her a chance, they gave her the boot first lol, even though she is in their alliance. I liked Sam on her season, and even though Marie was in the wrong for getting physical, Sam just irks me on this challenge.

Agreed. I hate to give Frank credit for anything, but ever since he said in an interview that Sam is stupid, I've noticed it more. She just comes off as generally unintelligent. For me to like you on these shows, you have to be at least one of the following: a fierce competitor, really good-looking, funny, intelligent, or a savvy game player. Sam is none of these things.
I don't think Sam is a good competitor, or very smart, etc., as you said Sloan. I wish Sam and Marie got the chance to go against each other in a physical elimination round. Now THAT would be an interesting elimination round to watch.
Also, I'm a little sad that there hasn't been more confrontational drama with the girls on this season... it seems to be only the guys, or guys vs. girls who get into intense arguments and start drama.
