Of everyone on Battle of the Seasons here is who I think will do another challenge if asked. Danny- Yes Wes- Yes Lacey- Won't be invited Melinda- No Alton- No Dustin- Yes Nany- Yes Trishelle- Unfortunately, yes Frank, Zach, Ashley, and Sam- Yes Derek, CJ, Jonna, and Jasmine- Yes Knight- Yes Jemmye- Yes Mckenzie- Won't be invited Preston- No Eric- No Brandon- Unfortunately, yes Cara Maria- Of coarse Camila- Yes Chet- Yes J.D.- Won't be invited Sarah- Yes Devyn- No Trey- Yes Robb- Yes Marie- Yes Laura- Won't be invited
I disagree with some of this. Melinda said she would do another one if it were individual. Lacey and McKenzie will likely be invited back. I'm unsure if any of the Cancun people will be back again. Devyn will return. Robb may or may not return and same with Laura.
So now that this challenge is over, how does everyone think it compares to the most recent ones? I think this challenge had very good potential, but IMO it would have been better if there weren't so many newbies. A few were good, but this cast had almost all rookies. I could have done without Sam, JD, Derek, Trey, Laura and McKenzie. I really enjoyed watching Jemmye, Knight, Marie, Dustin, Nany, Ashley, Devyn. Having these rookies with strong personalities and a few of the vets that people love to see would have been great. Sydney being on this would have been fantastic, so thats a shame. I honestly think San Diego blew it for me. Zach, Sam and Frank are just not fun to watch in the least bit. So I would rank the last five seasons like this: 1. Rivals 2. Battle of the Exes 3. Cutthroat 4. Battle of the Seasons 5. Fresh Meat II
1. Cutthroat 2. Battle of the Seasons 3. Rivals 4. Fresh Meat II 5. Exes
1. Cutthroat 2. Battle of the Seasons 3. Rivals 4. Fresh Meat II 5. Exes
I want to agree with this, but at the same time I'm unsure if this season was better than Rivals. It was definitely better than Exes or Fresh Meat 2 though.
My rank: 1. Battle of the Seasons (I really really loved this season) 2. Battle of the Exes 3. Rivals 4. Cutthroat 5. Fresh Meat 2
Even though most of us are upset about the outcome of this season, (SD winning) it's the best challenge season we've had in a while. Just not having the repetitive cast was great. The new batch of freshies are competitive and entertaining. We had a lot of good drama this season and it was genuine. No fights were to just get camera time like Jenn, Paula and Laurel are known to do.
Damn, I need to refresh myself because each season that passes by I forget what occurred on the particular challenge as well as the cast. That must not be a good thing.
1. Rivals (best season ever imo, except maybe I2) 2. Exes (best final ever) 3. Seasons (purely for drama, competition was garbage) 4. FM2 (best strategic season) 5. Cutthroat (no drama, every episode was about Brad and Tori or Abe and Cara Maria, blow out final)

I felt like every fight besides Vegas's fights with each other was for camera time.
Haha are you serious? You don't think everything Frank did was to get camera time? I felt like every fight besides Vegas's fights with each other was for camera time.
Frank's drama was the only one that felt for camera time. Fresh Meat and Vegas' arguments felt real. Nany/Knight, Camila/Knight and Jemmye, Marie/Derek all were great as well. Also I would highly disagree on Cutthroat being the worst of the more recent seasons. The missions, eliminations, and cast were the best of recent memory. The aspect of people secretly voting for others was fun and seeing Camila/Brandon continuously sent in was all great to watch.
1. Cutthroat 2. Rivals 5. Seasons I don't care about Exes or Fresh Meat 2 either way in terms of ranking them, but I think this is what I'd say. The last half of Rivals was really good, but the first half was boring. But if the people I want to see win do win, it makes the season more enjoyable I think, hence why Rivals is only 2. Battle of the Seasons was terrible and I blame the cast, alongside the stupid rules put in place.
I want to agree with this, but at the same time I'm unsure if this season was better than Rivals. The episode they went to Argentina was definitely better than any episode from BOTS.

All of Camilla's fights did feel real though. I would say 95% of reality TV fights are for cameras anyway, so it's not a big deal if they fight for the cameras, I was just saying its crazy to say that when Paula and Jenn and Laurel fight its all for cameras, but these new kids were just completely nuts and were all oblivious to cameras. Cutthroat did have great missions, the eliminations were just kind of what they always do besides the fly swatting thing and the dice rolling thing and there weren't any real upsets. I thought the Rivals cast was the most stacked in the history of the show, and I thought Cutthroat was a pretty standard cast. The Cutthroat and Exes casts were actually really similar (Johnny, Camilla, Paula, Abe, Ty, Emily, Cara Maria, Mandi, Dunbar, Sarah, Vinny). Obviously it's all about opinion, but why'd you like the Cutthroat cast so much?
Cutthroat probably had the most drama of any season, I don't know what you were watching.
Like what? Ty threw a plant on Emily's bed, Laurel made fun of Big Easy, Camilla got into it with Tori and Brad like every episode, Laurel got into it with Abe and Cara like every episode. Did I miss anything? The last like 3 episodes were all about Brad and Tori, it got kind of old for me quick.
Thinking about it, Rivals may have been better than BOTS. The episode they went to Argentina was definitely better than any episode from BOTS.
True but tbh that's been the best episode I've seen ever (only watched from Gauntlet 3 to Battle of the Seasons 2).

Knight is immature so I'm sure he'd do what he did to Nany just for kicks and to get her to crack. And you know Derek got into fights for an invite back how? All or his arguments seemed legitimate and not camera hungry. Clearly Frank wasn't in 90% of the drama if I can name plenty of arguments he was not involved in. I preferred the Cutthroat cast because it had a perfect mix of vets and rookies. Rivals had two rookie teams out of 14. Cutthroat also had killer missions and one of the most historic moments ever: Johnny getting backpacked by CT. The drama was also great stuff. You had Easy/Laurel, Brad and Tori/Camila, Laurel/ Cara Marie and Abe, Easy and Katie/their team, Ty/Brandon, Ty/Emily, Paula/Dunbar. Also the drama of potentially getting voted in and betrayal from your team was pretty cool.

That's fine with the reason you liked the cast, I just don't agree. And I thought the drama was extremely lame, but again that's your opinion.
Off the top of my head: Laurel vs Shavoun Laurel vs Big Easy Laurel vs Cara Maria Laurel vs Abe Camila vs Thersea Camila vs Brad and Tory Camila vs Paula Camila vs Luke Ty vs Brandon Ty vs Emily Ty vs Katie <---------- Personal favourite Johnny vs some Czech guy (the one he threw down the stairs) Johnny vs CT Johnny vs Shavoun Paula vs Dunbar Paula vs Jenn Shavoun vs Sarah Shavoun vs Vinny Derek vs Vinny Watch the penultimate episode, that was my favorite for drama, that was when everyone just melted and went crazy.
I don't remember any of those Shauvon fights, except Sarah telling Shauvon she was terrible...and that wasn't really a fight. Camilla vs Theresa was like a 2 second thing, Camilla vs Luke wasn't really a fight Luke was just weird, Camilla vs Paula all I remember was Camilla saying she's done a million challenges I don't think they actually fought, Ty vs Brandon was like a 2 second thing, Johnny vs CT was an elimination...I wouldn't classify that as drama, Dunbar wrote a letter to Paula is that the Dunbar vs Paula drama you were talking about? Paula vs Jenn wasn't really a fight Jenn was just like you've been on 7 challenges and you haven't won yet and Paula was like you've been on 5 and haven't won yet, and Derek vs Vinny was another 2 second thing. The penultimate episode was when Paula thought she was getting a free pass into the final for some crazy reason and she started crying, Sarah and Laurel were gonna throw the misison but didn't, and there wasn't any blue team drama at all. Like I said the whole season was about Laurel vs Abe/Cara and Brad and Tori vs themselves and Camilla. It's your opinion for liking it, I just don't agree.
whatever
I'm just saying there weren't any major fights besides the ones I mentioned earlier, whereas Rivals had Adam vs Ty, Jasmine and Jonna vs Theresa and Camilla, Jenn vs Cara maria, Wes vs ct, Evan vs nehemiah, laurel vs paula, Wes vs cara maria, plus a bunch of other minor fights.

Same with Evan/Nehemiah when the mission was thrown. Laurel vs. Paula was also only an episode long. I respect your opinion on Rivals being better, but I'd say in all aspects, Cutthroat was better.
Has a new season been announced yet? If not, any idea when it will get picked up?
So I'm just thinking about the next final. Since Rivals they have flown them somewhere for the finals with a specific type of extreme terrain:- Rivals: Mountainous terrain Exes: Arctic terrain Seasons: Desert terrain This only really leaves a jungle. But I can't imagine it is possible to do a final in a jungle, just because they wouldn't be able to get good camera shots because there would always be a tree in the way, Although on the other hand you wouldn't be able to tell who was winning, and so they could make the final a whole lot more tense. What I do think would be cool is to send them to some Polynesian island and have them row between islands to solve puzzles.
1. BOTS (I would have really like it a lot more if SD didn't win 2. Cutthroat (I actually like the winners here) 3. Fresh Meat 2 (I like exiles personally, and I remembered this season well) 4. Exes (Would have liked more it if either CT / Diem or Ty / Emily won) 5. Rivals

Tbh the only winner of Cutthroat that I was rooting for (and deserved it) was Tyler.
Haha are you serious? You don't think everything Frank did was to get camera time? Especially in his season, Frank wanted camera time so bad so he started stuff. But this season I think he was genuinely psycho HAHA...but yeah you're right.
What has been the general reaction from Challege regulars regarding this season?
When is The Real World: Portland expected to premiere? With that said, when are phonecalls for Challenge 24 expected to begin?
