I see an increase in ratings too. But the gimmick themes are unfortunately marketable for many shows though. Its just what attracts some people. Its worked though.
The problem with reusing Rivals and Exes is that all of the compelling pairs have been done for the most part. On Rivals 1 each rivalry was legitimate and there were a few that were really interesting. I would say that the weakest Rivals 1 rivalries (Theresa/Camila) may have been one of the better Rivals 2 pairings because they were all a stretch. On top of that, some that made sense like CT/Wes, Johnny/Frank involved people that were too old or too smart to let their animosity interfere with their game. Personally, I think Rivals 2 should've never happened. Rivals 1 and Exes were used to inject new life into the series and give them space to come up with something new and creative like Free Agents, not to become concepts that would be beat to death. Unfortunately, it seems that in the entertainment industry, something working once is a gateway to it being re-done without any nuances until people are sick of it (see Jersey Shore).
I love the shows but I think BMP's long term strategies with how they cast and how they pick the format of the shows is seriously flawed. They've backed themselves into a corner by putting so many of their eggs in the CT/Bananas basket (and I'm a Bananas fan) and not developing the new kids the right way and a season like Rivals 2 that suffered from boring pairs and WAY too much focus on one storyline (CT/Diem) made more viewers apathetic.
so anyone know if they wear the boring black jerseys to eliminations if its a partner mission?
i love the black jerseys!

They need to find a balance between more new but a few old besides just CT and Bananas. They can have them but put some others in the mix as well.
I like the gimmick themes but its time for them to come up with some more besides just Exes and Rivals. Formatting is good but its the theme and challenge names they need to work on and make more martketable moving forward. Next season needs to be a theme but not a past theme something new. Start of as deaiginated teams of something and then move into an individual game.
i love the black jerseys!
I liked them on rivals and exes but not here, they just look lame plus its boring when everyone has the same color

I like the white accents on the girls ones. Not the guys ones but I like the idea of what they did.
I wish they would make the colored jerseys more interesting and add white or black accents to them.

They just did it was too soon. There were only 2 challenges in between Rivals and Rivals II. Hardly any new rivalries were formed.
Now before anyone reads any further I would like to point out that everything written below is based on the speculations which I believe now are more than accurate:
This season I believe will revolve around mostly Laurel, Cara Maria and Theresa. (Well at least from the girls side of things) Now with all due respect to Nany and Devyn who reached the final and more than likely got 2nd and 3rd place respectively, they aren't top competitors like CM and Theresa were in this challenge.
Laurel won all 4 of her elimination rounds!
Cara Maria won 3 elimination rounds!
Theresa won 2 elimination rounds!
Now unfortunately Cara Maria went into her 4th elimination round against Laurel, but that loss doesn't take away even the slightest from CM. She lost to the best female in the house and eventual champion.
Theresa went into her 3rd elimination against Laurel as well and that loss doesn't take anything away from her either.
Now Nany and Devyn reached the final without seeing ONE elimination round but that's okay. They obviously had luck on their side, which of course was the name of the game so I can't take away anything from them either. But the name of the game also was set to determine the top true FREE AGENTS but by them not going into one elimination I think it leaves a little gray area for those two because they never proved themselves. If BMP does get the chance for another challenge and they make it an individual game, EVERYONE GOES IN THE ELIMINATION ROUND AT LEAST ONCE.
Now obviously I can't change the outcome of this season but in the end I believe the top 3 FREE AGENTS OF THIS SEASON ARE LAUREL, CARA MARIA, AND THERESA.
The 3rd episode is called "The Thumbsucker" which is referring to Nia and the description of the episode is "A fake wedding between two cast members is celebrated" and i believe the fake wedding is between Cohutta and Nany
They're probably the most irrelevant thing to mention....
Different strokes I mean I could care less about random twitter fights , Jersey colors matter to me because we see them every episode. And how are they irrelevant, we see them every episode the most irrelevant things to mention are people not on this season

Because they're not really important. I mean sure I remember who wore what color jerseys on occasions, but I really couldn't care less about them all wearing black jerseys.

That's fine you can feel that way but they still aren't the most irreverent things not even a little, talking about people who aren't on the season is

This season is revolved a lot on Nany by what I heard the next 2 episodes you're going to see a lot of her. Yeah she didn't saw an elimination, but by what I heard it wasn't just luck I keep hearing she was the girl that won most missions yeah in teams, pairs or individual (Not 100% about that, but it make sense).
Jordan is also part of main storyline and secure a call for the next challenge most likely.

Who do you heard was the guy with the most wins? Honestliy, I can see Jordan being the new good guy taking CT's spot.
Right now Laurel, Bananas, Theresa, Nany and Jordan seems to be the top guys of this season.

How about Theresa, Camila, Cohutta, Johnny R? I assume Laurel was a big part of FA, too.

I love Nany so I'm fine with that. Has anyone seen the preview for next weeks episode? I haven't seen it but I saw on instagram Nany saying she goes crazy next episode and there was a preview for it.

1. Jordan's not a good guy
2. He's no where near CT's level
3. We'll see that soon

There's only been one episode dude.
There's only been one episode dude.
Editing. Does it click?
Laurel is getting into more elimination rounds than anybody else and she was already calling the shots of the votes.
Bananas / Jordan are already going at each other.
Theresa was showing almost beating CT in a BBall strip match and saying that Theresa was underrated.
Nany is kissing with everybody
The only one that is and will getting equally air time Jasmine with a ***** thing.

If you know the spoilers it makes sense
Jasmine has a fan base, for some reason, so they're going to give her air time before she leaves
Ryan Knight @Knight_MTV 3m
@frankcsweeney I know we have our differences but that post was written perfectly and I plan on sharing with everyone. Incredible writing.
Cool to see Knight trying to be civil. I'm actually sad to see Frank done with the shows. Haha I don't know why. I never thought I'd say that.

Something I noticed is that everyone seems really aware of their past perception (probably from reading vevmo) which led to them all acting really behaved. I did not see one chest puff from CT, Laurel, Nia or Frank in the premiere, and only 1 in the "Upcoming" trailer. I'm worried. Do not make this season all about hooking up with Nany and then making her cry, the viewers won't be able to handle it (when I say viewers I am completely talking about myself).
Guys, here is my scouting report on this season. I will start with the girls.
Front Runners
Laurel
Camila
Cara Maria
Laurel is pre-Miami Heat Lebron, the obvious best athlete who has yet to be crowned. Camila is Dwayne Wade, she’s won it before with a superstar and if she could get a good enough partner, it would obviously happen again. Cara Maria is the Chris Bosh, charmingly funny looking and just a little better than everyone else. If these three stick together throughout the competition, they will Miami Heat their way to an obvious championship (or Top 3 ship)
Hot Girls
Devyn
Nany
Jonna
Theresa
Emilee
These girls are all athletically/gameplay shaky and just hot enough to not be targeted for sucking/booty buyins. You have your Jonna’s and Theresa’s, who seem to have the game figured out, until they play themselves out via sloppy decisions. You have your Nany, who is hot and will probably make out with everyone, but then suffer bad luck. You have Emilee, who you know very little about besides the fact that she’s hot. I say Devyn is the likely finale candidate of this group, because she seems 100% able/willing to market what a saddlebag she could be to the other team in a finale.
Troublemakers/Antagonizers
Jemmye (Eliminated)
Aneesa
Nia
These are the harder to love ones. AKA their hot to crazy ratio isn’t as good as the previous group. Jemmye’s Rivals 2 run was impressive, as she manipulated her way to the finals on the basis of little athletic ability and a lot of getting inside a *****es head ability. Coming into this a changed woman led to a quick elimination. Aneesa is just kind of bad, which is a shame that she hasn’t gotten the hang of these challenges after doing 10 years of them (they basically repeat!!!!). But at least she will have a funny fight with someone drunk? And Nia remains to be seen- can she be the true counterpart to Hurricane Frank? Probably not.
Immediate Targets
Latoya
Jasmine
Jessica
These are the easy targets. Jasmine will probably last a few weeks since she’s been around longer, but the fact she doesn't clear 5 feet will definitely get in her way as it always does. Jessica has a princess reputation and isn't hot enough to get away with it, even though watching her triumph was satisfying. Latoya suffers from nobody knowing who the **** Latoya was prior to this (did people on Vevmo even watch her season of the RW?). However, after her semi- surprise elimination triumph, I think she can make it all the way to the 4th elimination.
