Popular was way before it's time. It's still extremely relevant. The show dealt with everything from bullying to eating disorders which is prevelant now more than ever.
I originally started watching because the main actresses were extremely hot, which they still are.
They even wrote a season 3 script. I always thought Carly Pope (the brunette) was hotter than Leslie Bibb (the blonde!)

Episode 15 is also really good!!! It's all about sexual harrassment from male/female, straight/gay... and also touches on parental divorce and how Josh deals with it. Such serious topics, but does it in such a way that is both educational and entertaining lol

when Lily wore a tiny dress and they all got sent to boot camp? It really was way before it's time. They had some serious issues in the 2nd season also. Like when 3 of them ended up in the hospital and when Sugar Daddy tried to pick a place for a dance but they said no because he was too heavy and when Brooke asked they said yes. It's still true today.
The Stephen King short story adaption, The Things They Left Behind, sounds interesting! A supernatural procedural that "centers on an unlikely pair of investigators carrying out the unfinished business of the dead." I'm liking it.

HOWEVER. Under the Dome is one of my top five novels by him. Even at over a thousand pages, I read it TWICE. I'm an avid reader and I rarely read any book more than once. But, I HATE the t.v adaptation of it. It's so utterly horrible in so many ways I won't even take the time to get into it. They changed so much that the only thing even remotely similar between the book and the show is the name. The worst part is that King supported it. I have such major disappointment regarding this that I don't think I can handle watching another GOOD story of his be massacred for the screen.
Lurker, if you think the concept sounds intriguing, please, just read the story. Then, go from there and decide if you want to give the t.v version a try.

I will most certainly give it a read and take that into consideration. I haven't watched Under the Dome (I honestly have no clue what it's about either), but I'll give it a read as well! I understand why shows go astray from the source material from time-to-time, but it should never get to the point that it's unrecognizable. I'd rather just read a great book or story than to watch a mutilated adaption of it.

It definitely makes you realize how valuable yet hard life is, but it can be rewarding as well. Love the message the show brings. The acting is really good too for it to consist of primarily young actors. Must see! Comes on every Wednesday night at 9 on Fox.

Red Band Society was amazing, I loved that, even though the show is about sick kids, the tone of the show is not depressing, it's actually lots of fun. I really hope it doesn't get cancelled.
My little sister is so excited for this, which is surprising since she isn't big into anything scandalous and doesn't watch much scripted TV as is. She just asked me to watch the trailer and I'm not sold on it yet, but I'll give it a chance, especially with the creators of Scandal onboard (I personally haven't watched Scandal, but I've heard great things).
