At this point no idea , what they would do. It's devastating to hear about this news...
This challenge can go two ways according to my source:
1. They cancelled like they did with Buckwild after the guy die.
2. MTV will have to do a lot of editing for the first 3-4 episodes since Knight outspoken personality rubbed people the wrong way at times and some times comes out as villain. They will edited in agood way respecting him and his family.
Sometimes I forget they are real people #RIPKnight
Apparently him and Jemmye fought a lot of this upcoming season so they would probably edit that out? Idk what the hell they are going to do about this whole situation.
" I was supposed to call him a couple days ago after he sent me an inappropriate snapchat, and I never got around to it. I'll never get that chance now and I will forever hurt because of it."
Wes wrote that on fb, wonder what he sent him. It always gets me how people see addicts and dont try hard enough to tell them they need help. Im ofcourse just speculating, I would think if his cast members did know that they would persuade him to revevaluate his life. I know only the person who needs help can fix themselves but I would hope everyone didnt just stand by and watch the trainwreck. like how Brandon is posting right now is annoying saying he couldve guessed and that he isnt all that surprised, you dont say that after someone died.
I hope they don't cancel, just do reediting and pay homage. I was really excited for this season I feel like it would be a waste after everything they put into it, money and time. Make it available online or reveal the results at least.

I really hope they don't cancel it. I know it will be hard to watch but it will also be a bit cathartic. Seeing them both, doing something they wanted to do. They just need to edit it VERY CAREFULLY! I have to admit, I am just stunned and sad and my heart breaks for his family.
What is MTV going to do with this challenge??? First Diem and now Knight. This is just way too much to handle. It will be hard watching those episodes and seeing the two of them when they are no longer with us. I cant even deal....I wonder what MTV will do...
Celebrate the life they lived...enjoy watching them do something they loved doing.
It isn't hard to watch at all
MTV should air this asap to cash in on the ratings--that sounds cold but that's the business decision that needs to be made.

Sorry, but they shouldn't edit it. Show him as the person he was in life. He was who he was. He never apologized for that--no reason to try to make him into a person he wasn't
If they cancel it that's just ridiculous IMO but to each their own

I'm very doubtful they'll cancel but this is the first time this has happen so MTV is probably distraught like we all are , and If I had to guess what they will do I would say they will give them both very solid/uplifting edits that make the viewers know what had happened and leave it at there but honestly this being the first time this happened who knows
Okay that makes a lot of sense but do you think wes zack bananas jordan and leroy all stayed alligned until they got down to mostly vets?
Probably not I dont see, Wes, Johnny and leroy working together. Ever. Johnny and Leroy yes, but have johnny and Wes ever worked together? No, so they probably wont start now, the only time they did was rivals 1 and didnt go after eachother in rivals 2 cause the girls wouldnt do it. I predict its Wes and johnny not voting together ever and a bunch of floaters.

And Plus Doesn't Leroy hate Wes? If yes then I don't think he would work with him.
This season is up in the air. Thier is too many friends of friends who does notlike the other friend. I dont see the house being diverse because you have people who hate wes jordan and johnny. I think it is confirm that zack wes knight and jordan were working together. Leroy and Bananas were most likely together too
If they cancel it I'll be so mad, yes it's sad but the show must go on. Diem collapsing might be hard to watch but why would it be hard to watch Knight enjoying himself?
I don't know how I will feel if I see them on the show but Knights death has really shocked me...
Like I know so many people who do drugs... Its really scary what can end up happening..

It is going to be hard watching him knowing he has passed away and knowing he will never be on a challenge again. I don't want them to cancel it but I am really not looking forward to this season anymore as much as I was. It is just so sad. I just can't believe all of this has happened.

Wouldnt you want to see him one last time instead of never again? The last thing most fans saw him doing was slapping frank, this way offers MTV a way to paint him in a good light as opposed to canceling the season.
I feel like they should air it and edit this season to be more fun, show us all the fun things that they always edit out. Keep some of the competition/drama but lighten things up a bit as well. Don't make it depressing.
It depends. While I would like to see Nia's redemption, there are TWO passings that were both on this one. I know they pulled I Love Money 3 but that dude actually killed someone (then himself). Weighing it against that, it is much less but still a tough decision.
I hope they do air it, and I can see them re-airing the Diem special after her episode. And I can see them changing the way they planned to edit it when it comes to Jemmye and Knight. Maybe they'll give a tamer edit to them.

I hope they do this because them canceling it just ruins everything and really hurts the chances of the show being renewed.

He won that season and was said to be viewed as a "good guy"...so taking that there was noooo way that they could have air the season.
I think if I would be part of the production team, I would decide to air it (Obviously asking Diem and Knight's families first), because too many people already know that Diem and Knight filmed a challenge together and it would be a good way to show respect to them and appreciate what they gave us troughtout their journey.
I would air the premier episode as an 90-minute special and then (considering that in the "Remembering Diem" thread someone said that we will see her in 3 episodes and Knight supposingly eliminated in the thirth/fourth episode) make another 90-minute special and dedicate that episode to them and call it "Danielle Brown and Ryan Knight. We love you!" and make the last 10 minutes a little tribute show where multiple people from the challenge / RW / RR / FM circle and their family talk about them, ending the episode with the picture that Knight has as his profil pic and then make a two week break to give the audience some time and not rush it.
I feel like there are not many possible options they can do, because (and I hope you guys do not take this as something inappropriate) their accident/eliminations happened in the beginning, so I don't think they will cancel the season especially since this was the season where Sarah Rice won and Leroy did really good and both are big good guys favorites of many people (I know the win doesn't mean anything right now in these dark days that the MTV RW/RR/ Challenge family is in it).
I will always remember Knight as the villian who was a good guy, but he just wanted to make the people around him and the viewers laugh. I will always remember Diem as the light/fighter/dance that she was. So, if I was a editor/producer, I would just show the truth how Diem and Knight were.
One thing is for sure though, the challenge won't be the same anymore.
At this point no idea , what they would do. It's devastating to hear about this news...

I agree.
The guy from I Love Money was a killer. He murdered 2 people I believe so of course they were gonna cancel the show. A lot of people were outraged by what happened. Made the news and everything. Didn't he kill himself too? I forgot.
The guy from Buckwild, wasn't he also murdered? So I can see why they would cancel that show. With investigating going on and all that.
Diem she had cancer and was very open about that and sadly she just didn't make it. That's the sad reality of cancer. Knight had a drug and alcohol addiction which I thought he was clean off now, but he wasn't. However, he was very open about that on TRW. Deaths like these can shine a new light on issues at hand and how valuable life is and how it should be treated right.
Canceling the show is stupid. If anything I think watching it will be closure for a lot people. Show them for who they are and how we watched them for so many years. They loved The Challenge and they wouldn't want it to be taken away. It's part of their legacy now. What they'll be remembered for.

No he wasn't murdered he died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
But I agree about not canceling the show, it gives closure to see them one last time.
MTV/BM didn't spend all of that money to cancel the show. Thankfully the series doesn't air for a few months, it definitely gives them time to re-edit some things. Storylines may be altered tremendously by this, but I see this as the solution. I would be shocked if they cancelled the season, especially considering how well the last Battle of the Exes did for them.
Yes. It was confirmed in the US Weekly magazine that Diem will appear in 3 episodes. I wonder if they will also do a special for Knight?
With timing I will say Diem collapsed was before the 3rd challenge or during...Since Thomas/Hailey/CT were spotted traveling back the same day and Thomas/hailey technically were the 2nd team out of the house.
Well, the MTV insider said she would appear in 3 episodes, so the incident probably occurs in the 3rd episode. Hopefully, they don't show it. The season will probably be dedicated to Diem and Knight.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
I have opened up a thread for anyone who wants to discuss Knight.
