Svetlana quit in the middle of her Duel & got as far as she did only because the producers wanted her to (i'm sure they wanted at least 1 Key West person in the finals). Anybody with a brain can see that Beth was obviously supposed to win that one.

obviously that wasnt svetlanas duel considering the size difference. a bigger person will almost always win those type of elimination rounds. doesnt change the fact that svetlana still put up great performances throughout the entire season and was debatably one of the top girls there.

so she won 2 missions, tel me which other female did that season? she also held her own in almost every other mission and came in second a notable amount of times AND she beat kina decisively by making her cry. she outperformed everyone except jodi, maybe robin and maybe aneesa. whether or not you want to admit it, she exceeded expectations. she was the underdog that was supposde to be cut off right after Paula and even if she had gone home against beth, she would ahve still outperformed her cast mates and still would have had good showings in the previous four missions where she was competitive.

When Jemmye made her statement about girls hooking up with most of the cast and the camera panned right to Nany, you see where this is going. Svetlana at her height was 4 to 5 times more popular than Nany is now. Folks who didn't watch the RW knew who Svetlana was. MTV pushed her like no other female I've seen.
Svetlana was and still is one of those cast members BMP is dying to have back. They loved the way she was portrayed on the Key West season and then went on to get 2nd place in The Duel (which was known as the most difficult challenge back in the day). V1 did state awhile back that he had reason to believe Svetlana would be a possibility for The Duel 3.
Well to be fair The Real World and The Challenge were more relevant back then.
That's certainly true, but I remember how MTV promoted her. She had like her own Sweet Sixteen style party show and other spots they don't even come close to doing for someone not on JS. It was crazy...
I remember her episode of My Super Sweet 16, she was such a brat in it. I certainly like her better than Nany.
Yeah they sure did push Svetlana. Pretty funny how it's all for naught since she doesn't really want to do challenges...Well apparenty she's a possibility for a Duel 3 but I don't see them really doing that format anytime soon.
Its like they pushed her right out the door. She was supposed to carry the franchise into the into the next generation, and she wanted no parts. I could only imagine the amount of money they've thrown at her to come back. I apologize for joining in on the Svetlana talk, but I was fan since her casting tape. "I wouldn't put fake ***** in me." Good God should had me F'ed up lol.....
If they were planning on it as recent as Rivals 2, I wouldn't totally axe out that option.
The first episode looks like were going to have some intresting dram because we se Somine throwing Thomas water. I know it doesnt seem that exiting but if you seen the trailer then it should be good.
I wonder are we going to get right into the Nany & Theresa drama. That would be a nice set off...
I'd think so cause Nany said something about Theresa telling the "new girls" stuff about her. If they were there for weeks she probably wouldn't be calling them new girls anymore.
Eh, that would be too soon and we would have nothing to look forward to later on although lately BMP makes a midseason trailer and its usually stuff we didn't get to see in the pre-season trailer.
I doubt the Nany/Theresa fight happens episode 1. They may show Theresa talking shit but not the part where Nany confronts her.
I was just starting to like Theresa before all this back stabbing towards Nany & Bananas too.
When she screwed up the voting on Rivals 2 I was like, okay mistakes happen. Then last season after the switching of the votes, I had to jump off the bandwagon. She's just to wishy washy to be a fan of. I want to like her, but you can't justify her actions like you can most other competitors.
Thats how I feel. I wanted to like her but I just gave up after she keeps showing she has no loyalty. I used to feel bad for her because she was always crying but now I don't. She does it to herself and doesn't deserve to make it to a final.
Forget making a final. She doesn't deserve to be on the show at all..but for other reasons.
