The idea is unoriginal, but I think it could work very well if handled correctly. However... my excitement has dropped considering there's a been a recent push for a few washed up names that have no business returning next season...
They need some "washed up" names, since there is a high chance of atleast half of the people being rookies to the challenges. Assuming they stick with that idea, 90%-100% of the cast being new or irrelevant to some viewers would hurt ratings.
Exactly , people want every **** season to have all rookies which is just stupid.
It shouldn't be all regualrs and tired-ass veterans either. That is equally as stupid.
It never is.... every season has had at least one rookie make the final.
Battle of the Exes 1 was close to it.
Exes is the only one that techincally didn't have a first timer make a final. This nonsense that rookies always go home first is just that. ****, see Dustin & Jess getting sent in first this year
But there was a point were that was true. Look at Fresh Meat 1, The Duel, Cutthroat, Rivals 2, Exes 1, and Exes 2..Those are all seasons were rookies got the shaft first(and if it wasn't first then it was at least 2 rounds after that so still early). yes there are who get through and make it to the final but there are just as many who are on the first flight home.
Fresh meat 1 is a horrible example, they wanted to get rid of the Austin alliance not just because they were rookies. If the rookies don't want to be first than they should try winning a **** elimination instead of whining.
It doesn't matter. They were rookies and they got ganged up on and sent home. And nobody whines, they go in and compete just like everyone else.
I'm not saying all rookies but I'm saying all new schoolers. Because lets face it the chances of seeing new old schoolers is slim to none. Its gonna be the same old same old and I'm sick and unimpressed with it. So a season with all new schoolers that include vets and rookies would be nice. Just one season not them all.
Lets see how they would do politically with Bananas/Wes/CT there and them kissing their *****.
I think the majority would like a change of pace. Just not too confident that we will get one.
True. But I remain hopeful. Even the new schoolers want a challenge that doesn't include washed up faces.
Bananas/Wes/CT (or Paula/Sarah) if they're not there, Leroy/Zach/Jordan/Reily (or CaraMaria/Nany) will take control of the game and BMP/MTV won't do a challenge without at least three of them in it.
I'd be okay with that as long as they have opposition and they are pushed to fight for their chance at the money.
Almost every daily challenge is up for grabs, they all have equal chance to win it. Every single person fights every daily challenge/elimination/final equally. Everybody has the same chances at the money since everybody must go to the same challenges/same eliminations/same finals.
Obviously you go on FM1 for the biggest clear alliance there. This four-teams-alliance was number one target, once they are gone the playing field is open for everybody.
The idea is unoriginal, but I think it could work very well if handled correctly. However... my excitement has dropped considering there's a been a recent push for a few washed up names that have no business returning next season...

Exes--Dustin & Heather weren't set in early at all. Rookies were NEVER voted in during that season...never
Exes 2--Jay & Jenna haven't been sent in. Thomas & Hailey were only sent in when they were to give Johnny R an easy win. Again, those that finished last were
Rivals 2--Jordan & Marlon didn't get voted in the first 3 times
It simply isn't true. When there were team competitions rookies that were deemed weak went in or rookies that were on a team with a huge alliance (Brad/Dunar/Tyler/Tori/Paula/Melinda)
Fingers crossed for Rachel R....it's a well known fact that she is best cast member to grace our screens and always brings in the top ratings <3 <3 <3 <3 you can try to argue this, but you would just look foolish
For real I hope we get Rachel again, but I really hope we get a good mix of the old, the regulars, and the new
I want to see Tyler (since Frank stated before Exes 2 on twitter that he isn't interested in doing one again), Trey, Bruno and Cory on this next challenge.

Gee no shit sherlock. It's pretty obvious people on this show allow others to run the game and what I'm saying is people need to STOP doing that. Everyone has the ability to win challenges/eliminations but they allow others to control their game and make dumb decisions. If everyone fights for that first place spot noone would be able to run anything.
And I highly doubt that they were the largets alliance. Everyone on that challlenge had alliances too. Austin just made the mistake of being open about it.

When did the "gotta throw the new kids in" strategy begin?
Because regardless of whether or not Austin were open about being in an alliance wouldn't they have been thrown in anyway? (I've always wondered if that was something that's always been in the show, started watching at Gauntlet 2)
I'm not saying all rookies but I'm saying all new schoolers. Because lets face it the chances of seeing new old schoolers is slim to none. Yeah they would've been and that's what people don't get. Them being in an alliance was just a convient excuse.
And the whole rookie thing didn't started on Battle of the Sexes 2.

Svetlana did what you're supposed to do--win eliminations. Ty & Emily weren't the only rookies there but, other than Camila, they were the only two decent competitors...maybe Derek. It does matter if you're weak or strong--weak veterans are still going to get sent home early...see how early Katie gets sent in. As the other alliance you have to break up an alliance of four--that's common sense. Wes volunteered once to go in to protect Johanna or it would have been Johanna vs. Melinda

But almost everyone is fighting for the first place spot, but usually the ones that run the game are the best people there which is pretty normal.
Coming into the game, they were from the same season, those were four teams, anybody with half a brain should go for the ones with a clear alliance and not make go for anybody else, because he would become the last person on the totem pole...
If you're a good competitor as a rookie you'll do well more often than not...if you aren't you'll go home early--same with any weak competitor.

She didn't win the elimination with Beth they just changed the rules on the fly so she could stay.

No. The people who run the game are allowed too. Most of the time they aren't even the best and can be beaten.
But if they didn't have an alliance with each other then they still would've been targeted regardless.

To control anything you have to win...if they aren't even the best and can be beaten then beat them and take control
Brittini had no problem getting into the inner circle on The Duel 2--you don't have to be a veteran to be protected...you have to play the game and win missions...if you don't win you should go to eliminations and earn your stay. Wes did even with Casey as his partner

That's because she was partnered with Landon half the time. I doubt she would've been protected had it been with anyone else.
And no you don't have to win to control the game. If that's the case then Wes shouldn't have been able to get everyone to vote Darrell in on Fresh Meat 2.

It doesn't matter why. Everyone on that season had an alliance so that's wasn't it at all.
When did the "gotta throw the new kids in" strategy begin?
Because regardless of whether or not Austin were open about being in an alliance wouldn't they have been thrown in anyway? (I've always wondered if that was something that's always been in the show, started watching at Gauntlet 2)
Yeah they would've been and that's what people don't get. Them being in an alliance was just a convient excuse.
And the whole rookie thing didn't started on Battle of the Sexes 2.
Svetlana got Lucky and and Ty/Emily weren't the only rookies there. Doesn't matter if the rookies were weak or strong. They're still rookies and they still got sent home early. And Austin having an alliance was a convient excuse becaus they would've gone in regardless and Wes got thrown in several times too.
Melinda
If you're a good competitor as a rookie you'll do well more often than not...if you aren't you'll go home early--same with any weak competitor.
She didn't win the elimination with Beth they just changed the rules on the fly so she could stay.
That quote wall though...

Fair enough but she did survive it
