The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines Discussion (SPOILERS)

I'm hoping (and I'm sure they will) that they release promos for each of the different bloodlines before the show airs. Just so the viewers have an idea of who each bloodline is and what their personalities are like.

And yeah I think now it might be good for alumni and bloodlines to be on separate teams, just so the bloodlines aren't all picked off purposefully (doubt they would be, but it could happen), and that they have their moment to shine as a team of their own. Hoping they don't get crushed though if that's the case.

I'm also excited to see what the format is like (other than it being teams). Like if they deliberate to see who from the opposite team goes in, or if life shields come back, or pre-picked team captains before missions like The Ruins, etc.

Uh, no that makes absolutely no sense! A mixed team makes it an even playing field, competition and drama wise. Sepearting the teams doesn't guarantee any interaction between alumni and bloodlines. It also doesn't guarantee that the bloodlines will be any competition for the alumni team. Like I said if you had Bananas and Cohutta's dad (for example) on the same team, they might butt heads on how to complete a mission, or one controlling or telling the other what to do. By seperating them they don't even have to talk to any of the bloodlines. The alumni ca win every challenge in a row and we can be stuck with every alumni vs Shane and Larissa in the finals. Having an all bloodlines team doesn't guarantee them a chance to shine if they don't do well in missions. If you mix them together than you get some alumni and some bloodlines winning missions, and the other alumni and bloodlines loosing. Rather it be one way or another.

Have you not watched the last few seasons? The same old Vets have been the focus while the rookies were supporting cast members. The Bloodlines are obviously going to interact with the Alumni because they related to each other. However, with Alumni vs. Bloodlines we will get drama on the Alumni side because of issues on past seasons, we will get drama on the Bloodlines side because they are all new and will clash over team decisions, and we will get combined drama because family is involved. Now explain to me how doesn't make sense.

How? None of the alumni really has any issues with each other. I think the only drama may come from Thomas/Cory and given the alumni that's on this challenge they'll all just probably gang up on them . It's really going to come down to the bloodlines IMO.

Agreed with Debut. What does this season have to do with the last few seasons? This season has at least 14 people who have nothing do with the show as well as like 5 rookies. That's more than half the cast. None of the alumnis have any issues with eachother. Tony, Cory, Thomas, Dario, Cohutta, Nia, KellyAnne, Jenna have done 3, 2, 1 or even 0 challenges. Most of them haven't even been on seasons together. This may bring up NEW drama/issues though which I am down for, but I'd rather see them interracting with eachother as well as a mix of new kids. I'd rather see how Cory, Bananas, Tony, KellAnne, Victoria, Brianna and Makeda work together then all of the alumni together. Plus, if you want some of the bloodlines to shine and be brought back for future seasons you should see how they work, compete, and act around/with the regulars instead of seperating them.

How would they get picked off purposefully if there was 7/8 alum and bloodlines on the same team? If they are on sepearte teams and the alumni win the first mission, the bloodlines team would be down in numbers already. If they are mixed evenly it would cause for a mix of bloodlines/alum alliances to form within the teams. For example, the alumni win the first mission, bloodlines lose elimination and Shane goes home or the opposite and Jenna goes home. Or team green (mix) wins the first mission, it's up in the air if an alumni or bloodline will go in an elimination, it makes it less obvious, and the team can ban together to get one of the alumni to go home. Marie, Tony, Makeda, Ashud, Thomas, and Brianna can all vote for Bananas. Otherwise we may end up with a ruins 2

Anyone have any information on Naomi?

can we get a list of potential bloodlines going also?

I honestly don't think Cory's bloodline will be Ashud, but if it is I can see their relationship being very similar to Nia/Makeda's in that Cory will be ready to kill if he feels like he's been done dirty.

The list is in the speculation cast thread.

They will be living in the same house as the Bloodlines so you are going to see them interacting everyday. Let's not pretend if the Alumni and Bloodlines were mixed that they would actually have a voice on the teams because we all know they would be the scapegoats.

Is Marie actually confirmed?

really? i found the regular cast members but no bloodlines

I haven't seen it there...

Really? I thought PinkRose has them listed. We are still uncertain about most bloodlines so maybe that's the reason.

I think these are the only confirmed:

1. Nia - Makeda (Sisters)

2. Jenna - Brianna (Cousins)

3. Thomas - Stephen (Twins)

4. Dario - Raphy (Twins)

5. Camila - Larissa (Sisters)

6. Tony - Shane (Brothers)

Does anyone have a picture of Cory's brother?

Living in the same house means nothing. Theres 28-32 people, you don't need to interact with everyone. We see this every season, the same people hangout with eachother. However, with teams you are forced to work with and talk to eachother. Have you seen cutthroat? Also, with teams, if everyone gets a vote it's a numbers game... 6 or 7 bloodlines + 1 alum vote for Bananas, he's gone.

You are not looking at the fact that this season is different from those because the Bloodlines are actually related to the Alumni. Maybe it's just personal preference but I'd rather see a newly formed team of people try to co-exist instead of trying to get along with Bananas who I'm sure will talk to them like he did Jay.

Pre-Game Alliances haha. I hope the format is The Ruins style so we can see some weak people make it somewhat far (Casey). Plus it creates unpredictable match ups(Brianna vs. Susie)

Just google Ashud Moore & go to Images...its the first pic that comes up. IF it is him that is Cory's bloodline, he might be a force...he was a running back & strong safety for his HS football team. He literally just graduated HS though so unless they're opening casting back up to 18 year olds (Casey on Fresh Meat), I don't know about him being on.

If they want someone bad enough they will get them. Jenna was under 21 during her RW

PR said production is fine with 18 year olds. It's in Europe anyway so they'll be able to drink in most places.

Are Madison and Rachel 100% out of speculation? They both favorited a tweet about them being bloodlines, I know that means nothing but I'm clinging onto any hope of Madison on this challenge.

Say what you want about The Ruins, that format was awesome.  I loved how you go after an opponent's bank account.

I think PR said they're out because Madison has an appearnace around the 19th. I'm hoping that she's lying and she's really on but idk I think it proabably came down to Rachel not being very entertaining.

I liked the idea but I feel like it wasn't portrayed well. They rarely talked about it. I wished for the confessionals it'd have like a little blurb under them saying the amount of money they have.

Madison is not doing it (unfortunately). I know for a fact she declined because she just started a new job.
