Ok as someone else already posted, here are the calls made and results.
Derrick - they had 2 numbers. the first rang about 4 times then went to a generic VM. They had doubts it was his number so tried a second one they had which also rang but went to a voicemail of a female child. It's highly possible that both of these numbers are incorrect since they haven't spoken to him in a long time but who knows.
Ibis - rang all the way through then got to voicemail
Shane - they say they haven't talked to him in like 8 years (so it's possible number is wrong). They call him let it ring once and Hangup so it's very possible either it would have went to VM after the first ring like most phones do, or it could have rang all the way through.
Camilla - phone rang once then went to VM.
Cara - straight to voicemail
Bananas - straight to voicemail
Zach - straight to voicemail
Darrell - straight to voicemail
Laurel - straight to a msssage stating the phone isn't in service. They had spoken to her a few weeks ago so it's definitely her current number. Most likely dropped service for the duration of the challenge to avoid having to pay for something she's not using.
Abram - they ackknowledged that they don't think Abram is on but called him anyways. It rang once then they hung up. It's possible it would have went to VM after the first ring, but doubtful. Most likely a no go
They mention Devin and acknlowedge he told them privately he won't be on but is on another TV show (the challenge for AYTO in guessing) so he is a no.
So judging by the results, if you take the fact that their phone is off as an indicator they are on
Bananas, Darrell, Zach, Laurel, Cara, Camilla are all on
This challenge is trash if its individual and Laurel is there again
Unless she gets the Kellyanne treatment and is thrown into a crapshoot elimination like stacking blocks, sitting in a tub of ice water, or blind soccer.
So if Laurel and Zach are on...4 champ girls and 3 champ guys.
I think the most likely 4th champ guy is CT.
BUT if not who are the other possibilities besides Derrick?
Also something I found interesting was that the Ruins obviously a champion versus challenges format, but it was also filmed in Thailand. I have a funny feeling this could be The Ruins 2... obviously with some variation and twist because of the champions coming in late.
I personally would've loved to see Derrick run an individual final or even a pairs final to see how he would do. He's only ever run team finals I believe.
