A RW family vacation shouldn't have limited spots though. Doesnt the love and hip hop reunion have like 30 people on at a time? I've only seen the first few minutes of a few episodes, but there was lots of people on it. That way they can have all types of storylines and not worry about anyone being too boring. Theyve done a few seasons too and switch up the cast. It has great potential *if* its done right.

I like the reunion format and don't see any reason for a family vacation style with seasons being mixed but clearly the reunion didn't work for NOLA so maybe try it and see what happens.

yeah a Homecoming: All Stars type of formst would be amazing!!

The problem with this is we are going to get people like Beth S and Trishelle. They will cast people who they think are fan favorites and we get to see people we have seen a million times since their season ended. We don't get to see people like Kevin who can get a chance for some redemption or people like Beth A who surprise us. Or even someone like Tami who only did it for her fellow castmates. Part of what makes this show enjoyable is catching up with cast members who we haven't seen in a long time. Now if they said everyone from San Fran, London, Miami, etc.  who wants to do it can join that might work but if BM just cherry picks fan favorites the cast and the drama would be so predictable. They should just keep doing Homecomings and scale them back to a week. They don't need 3 trips. Get them in a house for 7 days with a fishbowl of questions and some old footage and roll cameras. Do 6 episodes and an extra episode of outakes and bloopers and you are good to go. Spreading to two weeks and forcing 8 episodes seems to be part of the problem for NO.

Filming time isn't the problem ithe real problem is having all of 7/8 people agree to revisit footage from when they were 20 at 40. Some of them just don't care to do that even if it was 2 days and still the 6 figures check. Plus, some of the big names with the exception of Tami don't care about looking back at this point in their careers despite what they have say on interviews/podcast.

Tbh- If we keep it real homecoming from the start had a quick expiration date because they were going to have issues pulling all cast members together from each season.

Exactly I feel as the seasons continue they try to stretch out the weeks they're there and most simply don't wanna be in that long definitely away from jobs and families- they have to realize these aren't the influencers from the main show who could drop their lives for three months

those cast are stacked and they're all living together so it feels fresh- that should've been the original idea after LA cause the rest of these seasons are hard to gather together or they're not interesting enough to be brought back

Filming time isn't the issue though they haven't  extend filming for longer that 12 days with covid protocols included in those days. The issues is actually being able to get all roomates agreeing to do this & actually having a good amount of dynamic personalities in their 40s to deliver content for 8 episodes like LA without having to stretch the same footage into multiple episode.

Agreed. I think doing 8 episode was a dumb idea and I'm a die-hard Real World fan. I'd much rather get more seasons with fewer episodes that 8 episode for each season.

And I feel like more casts would agree to do it if it was only a few days. Like, if Bunim-Murray said going into it "We're going to do 3 hour long episodes, we will film for 3-5 days" that might be more enticing?

Still a bummer that so many cast members are uninterested and that Bunim-Murray won't try to do something with the cast members who are interested. Even like, a 90 minute special would be fun.

maybe three hours of television for them is not lucrative enough with the amount they pay them

It might not be the main issue but it doesn't help either- of course the cast is the focal point and if that ain't meshing then there's no show

exactly! I really think this would have been an amazing idea but may be too late to execute now that word has gotten around with how much they paid the homecoming casts. I can see a RW family vacation cast being paid significantly less and then some would demand more money to do it which would be ridiculous in a large cast like that.

From what I understand about the LHH family reunions , people come and go at different times so that would help since not everyone may be able to stay the entire duration. also having that many people, they would hopefully not need to force the throwback clips in (while I love those, I understand some castmembers not wanting to do it because of that) and focus more on interactions with each other. **** they could finally do the backyard games lol. I truly believe as long as alcohol is provided with a dynamic cast, it would be a great show.

I don't think so those declining issues have never been with 10 days. The main reason for those declining have been long term impacts on their careers or they just don't feel like doing this at 40 anymore there are more cons than pros to them.

More would be open if it was just an stage special reunion like I love New York one last year. But that's isn't marketable or smart for any network they make way less revenue.

I feel like the Real World had bad seasons too...it's not like P+ has a lot going on, it seems weird they would just cancel it.  Give it one more go - clearly the first two seasons paid off.

The way PR put it also make it seems is like they are having a hard time finding seasons with the 7 of them wanting  to do it

You guys knew from the start that  this never had longevity? At some point they were going to be running out of nostalgic seasons with everyone willing to do it

Just can't see Real Worlders at 30 and 40 something revisiting their early 20's,, They have Careers, Children and acountabilty . For example, Sean Duffy, Former Member of the U.S. House of Representativesfrom Wisconsin's 7th district....Is not duing it.   The audience that even rembers who these folks are, are not watching it.. How many of you Vemo guys can even remember all the names of the Denver cast without a google??

gamer is on Twitter saying Miami Melissa is interested in Homecoming holy shit could the Miami Homecoming happen?

Define interested...

Svetlana-level interested or Derrick K-level interested

Well for her any level of interest is great. She was the one holding up the reunion when they were first asked. The best cast ever needs to reunite and now. Come on BMP make it happen.

I thought 2 people were holding it up?

I think Joe was a question mark but it's always been said Melissa was the one holding things up.

She prob heard the show on hold now is open to it and when they try again in 6 months it'll be a no lol.

anyways homecoming rip

Pretty sure it was Melissa and Sarah. Joe was definitely not the hold up

Hopefully Miami happens before homecoming finishes. Who cares about a Joe

Give me Vegas Homecoming NOW!

**** so All-Stars 3 and NOLA Homecoming is how we're ending things huh? And we're leaving CT, Nany, and Aneesa to carry on the name? Smfh

RIP RW/RR Universe

Wish we knew the numbers from LA. The show had a ton of press and a big viral moment. I am sure Tami brought in new people. If we assume it did well and NO does well why wouldn't they keep going even if the people in charge didn't like it. Perhaps they put it on hold and start up again after all the challenges launch. I do think they should rethink how to do it but unless this bombs they would be crazy not to keep going especially because it sounds like they want to be the leader in reality TV streaming. Guess we will have to wait and see.

Is Homecoming ending?  This is crazy if so. Paramount'S two best shows this one and All Stars both ending but they're creating that mess of a show with the International Challenges? I hate production.
