- Scooter (yes, I know you will hear about this), Eric, really? You had to know the truth about Katie's mistake with the phone number and Laurel's previous private sincere apology, but you couldn't let it go...and during the reunion you let it go on and on which is why Abe and Tyler reacted as they did. When will you learn that you must keep alcohol out of the Green Room? And you should have shown Tori's epic reply to Johnny's remark. I love you, bro, but this was not your finest edit... and you need to stop being an enabler.
I love Scooter... Let him do what he wants. We all know he was beating a dead horse... but he knows what people like, drama. Unfortunately it was the most boring segment ever (except when Maria shut up Tyler) but Scooter definitely thought it would be brilliant to have him as a special guest.

Sadly, he thought wrong. You can't tell me that Maria thought it was a good idea, going on and on and on in the studio. The truth is that when Scooter, the exec producer, or the director speaks into her ear piece, the words come out of her mouth. There is a unavoidable certain pathos to their symbiosis.
He did think wrong and I am sure she didn't want to spend to much time rehashing on the incident! I didn't know Scooter was the one speaking into Maria's ear piece. Thank you for informing me :) He should have cut it down. We only saw 15 minutes, of an everlasting, repetitive fight.
I would love to know what Tori's reply to Johnny was. I thought it was odd that she didn't say anything really during that whole "Brad's wife's a *****" segment.

What did she say?
Is that what people are really saying ?? WOW !! I wonder what they were saying after JEKD and Susie barely took down those two powerhouse girls on the Ruins final ?? Can't discredit the Red team... a win is a win and a ton of money is a ton of money !!
Haha This^
Also, on the Island JEvKD went against 3 girls and Ryan, who is arguably a worse competitor than Laurel...
In fact, Johnny's 2 wins were both against all female squads in the final
Johnny you sly devil you :shifty:
Cara Maria and Emily are so hot. They looked great at the reunion. :)
I can't wait to see them do more shows.
Holy **** Cara Maria was stunningly hot this reunion, it wasn't just me that saw it :D. Praying that she's on the next challenge

Are you intentionally counting Ryan as a female?
Haha no, just generalizing the same way people are claiming red beat a bunch of girls, even thought Luke was present too...
I could see how it would seem like that, I probably shouldve replace "all" with "majority" I guess.
Plus didn't Laurel say that before that happened, when she;d cone to hang out ( or sit and eat) with johnny and Big Easy, Easy would basically embarrass her and tell her that she can't hang out with them, and Johnny would have to tell him that Laurel is good she can hang with them. As well as before she attacked him, he began to tell her about her bacne? Plus I don't see where Easy is coming from at all. Of course she wanted to apologize when she saw the footage, she was drunk and prob couldn't remember most of what happened. Not excusing her ways, but didn't someone also say in their opinion, it made Easy seem worst because he came on the reunion show to basically talk down on Laurel for talking down on him? I actually kind of agreed with Abe but especially with Tyler. It's overdone. let it go MTV. Still didn't like the host. Didn't like that whole segment. IMO, they had better things they could talk about.... athough Laurel's face when they mentioned Big Easy was there, was priceless. LOL. I'd prefer to see Camila/Brandon/Paula/Toad issues than Laurel/Eric.
She said that in a podcast with Derrick & Kenny, I think. She said Johnny & Eric were sitting having lunch and she went to sit with them, Eric was a ***** and told her he couldn't sit with them, Johnny stood up for her and was like listen, chill out, dude. Later, Eric teased her about back acne or whatever. He played the martyr role very well, sucked up an extra 15 minutes of pseudo-fame and what should have been a one-time argument wound up being this holy ****storm. Mtv handled this one very irresponsibly. I get that bullying is bad, but using someone as a human sacrifice to prove a point when the supposed victim was just as guilty, then dragging it out at the reunion was ridiculous. The girl's getting death threats from this, which should have been a sign to smooth it over with all parties amicably behind closed doors - not pull a Jerry Springer and omg your baby daddy's other woman storms out. The other cast were right to get ******. They lasted longer than Eric, who was only there for one purpose - drama, yet was out of the game for quite awhile. Jenn & Emily barely got a word in edgewise and I would have loved to have heard from them what it was liking doing the final alone. Camila got screwed by it by not being able to come out. Worst reunion show to date, in my opinion.
- Production threw Brad and Tori under the bus because they knew going in that it was their last challenge. But, then, I'm not sure any traditional heterosexual couple will be welcomed by BMP. Just not their thing up there in the valley...

I didn't care for Brad or Tori on this challenge, but to a degree, I think you're right. They made an easy scapegoat for the whole red team, distracting from Chet's ************* and other things. Why married or serious couples go on the challenge when they'll always be met with disdain from the rest of the cast, I'll never know.
I agree on the Laurel point, as well. She's got immense potential, but could use some guidance in the what not to do department, but I think that comes from trial and error, like everything else in life.
I like reading the little insight you guys have. Laurel was drunk clearly and Paula looked like she'd had a few drinks on top of a Xanax. Sending them out in front of an audience like that, planning a stunt like bringing Eric out, that's pretty irresponsible. They could have fed them to lions right there in the studio and gotten the same reaction. The look on Laurel's face made me feel bad for her even more.
Camila got screwed by it by not being able to come out. Worst reunion show to date, in my opinion.
Cara Maria said that Camila wasn't invited, she bought her own ticket to watch the show. Hence why she wouldn't get brought out.
I don't know about that Cara Maria thing, but Camila was very well dress, hair done, make-up, and it looked like she was going to go up. She was behind the audience like Eric the whole time, and they entered very quietly.

I didn't feel bad for her at all. If she wants to be treated in normal way, she shouldn't have been drunk on a reunion show. Shows a lot of immaturity to me.
The look on Laurel's face made me feel bad for her even more.
Why? Cause she wasn't smart enough not to get sloppy drunk before taping???? Laurel brings all of this on herself. If she'd lay off the booze and try to conduct herself with a clear head she wouldn't come off as such an obnoxious buffoon. Ditto for Paula.....the only difference is Paula becomes a chocolate mess of tears when she's shwasted while Laurel becomes a mean, nasty shrew. Both would be wise to either lay off the liquor all together or at least cut back if they know what is right for them.
You know what chaps my ***? People didn't give two ****s about teej before he got in his accident and now everyone is in love with him. I aint talking about the cast members either.

Her being drunk doesn't have anything to do with being put in an awkward situation that was more suitable for Maury Povich or Jerry Springer. It affected her ability to express herself, but it doesn't detract from how ridiculous it was. She could have been stoned cold sober and I'd still have felt bad, because the SITUATION was uncomfortable to even watch.

It has nothing to do with people wishing he gets better, its the "OMG, TJ is such an awesome host, I can't wait till he comes back." "He's so funny." It's fake as ****. Especially when people ***** and ***** about how hes a ****t host who can't mind his own business regarding his opinion on quitters on other castmembers athleticism.

How do you say this is unlike other things that BMP/MTV have done on reunions and casting specials? Did you not see the Hollywood reunion where they (ridiculously and just for drama) brought out Janelle????? This isn't some form of classy, high entertainment. It might not be as bad yet but RW and the challenges are on their way to being just as trashy as Bad Girls Club or even, one day, Jerry Springer. Just look at a few segments of the past challenges. Believe me, as a person that has watched The Real World, Road Rules, and challenges from the beginning I wish things were different but the truth is the truth. The show has become ALL about drunken fights and hooking up and actually playing the game has taken a backseat. Why should Laurel, or anyone, expect different?
So yeah, I don't feel sorry for Laurel. She should have known what she was getting herself into and should have been smart enough not to get sloppy drunk. Everything that came after her first cocktail (in terms of her looking bad) is her fault. Same goes for Paula.
Paula was definately wasted out of her mind. She just had this very strong undertone of not caring anymore. I'm neutral to her, but it was uncomfortable to watch.
Paula was definately wasted out of her mind. She just had this very strong undertone of not caring anymore. I'm neutral to her, but it was uncomfortable to watch.
She needs to go into these things realizing that its just a game. Seriously, some of these fools act like winning a challenge is like the answer to life. As if being famous
for being a reality television show, traveling to beautiful countries, getting free under armour gear, and getting paid just for showing up isn't enough. I don't know why some of them like Paula, Brad, etc. are so obsessed with winning.

Since her original season of Real World she has shown time and time again that she has an issue with substance abuse. If I remember correctly even BEFORE she was on the real world she and her boyfriend were arrested for getting drunk and beating each other up. With Paula there is really no denying it......she has a problem. The challenges are not the problem, though with all the drama and backstabbing I am sure they make it worse. This girl would be smart to check into rehab or at least seek help. I think people are now noticing it because it's no longer a sporadic thing......a majority of the time we see Paula (other than her confessionals) she is wasted beyond belief. This has held true since Key West.

We know Paula is a hot mess. We all saw it during her season. I think she is obsessed with winning, because she feels she can control her own fate in these games, unlike in her real life, which is sad. She made it to the finals before, so she tastes the win, now she just has to complete a game she invested so much time in.
As far as Camila goes, she was not invited to the reunion. They never planned to call her on stage. If they had time and everything ran a little smoother, I am sure they would have brought her up as a "treat" for the audience, so she got made up just in case she did get any camera time.
Just saw the reunion and WOW they left so much stuff out! I already posted my whole re-cap but I'm surprised they didn't show Laurel walking off stage 'cause of Abram!!
I'm not surprised they didn't show the cast complaining about the housing conditions for LITERALLY 40 minutes.
The Big Easy & Laurel lasted so long. It continued off camera and it was very uncomfortable.
Laurel got a good edit She was WAY worse live.
Tyler talked about himself a lot more. When the topic was about was Derrick, he would blab about himself. We were all like huh?

While I regret his injury and am happy he is on the mend, I still don't like TJ and still think he should be replaced as challenge host. I've held that view for several years, so I see no reason to change out of sympathy for his injury.

Why would you think the edit would show the entire cast being openly critical of production about the housing situation? The universal complaints regarding somewhat similar cast issues for The Island and The Ruins were not shown either in those reunion show edits.

I 100% agree with you, tjhallow, on this. Of course it is a natural response to hope he gets better and cheer him on, but there have been people on vevmo who thought he was a bad host, and then once he got hurt, started stating how good of a host he was and how they hoped he would be ready for the next challenge.
I might be in the minority, but I have always liked TJ. I thought he was excellent this season and was actually given the opportunity to express his opinion about competition. I hope he comes back and gets to do that more!
