Cara Maria is a pretty talented actress because her cast impressions video was dead-on (from Exes/Seasons) - she nailed Jemmye and a few others. I think she did fake-cry on that one too when she was spoofing herself. So it's plausible to me that she plays a role or hams it up for the camera or fake-cries to get re-cast (she's not the only one who plays a character role, CT and Beth and others have too). But why in the world is she also admitting it openly to Nany, etc.? Perhaps the cast/crew are in on the joke?
**** at all the people so emotionally invested in a cast member. I love all the excuses for why CT lost. CT is better than bananas at puzzles, you idiots, he should of won this. So stupid hearing "oh if it was physical". Good son for bananas. I hate that the final is in pairs, I would be so ******.
Zach/Theresa/Jonna are people that break under pressure and beat themselve down, when they are losing or behind. Anyways:
Did she just confirm an Exes 2 or am I just seeing things lol
Did she just confirm an Exes 2 or am I just seeing things lol
I think she means he's going to berate her like he did Sam.

They've used them three times this season. I agree they have failed 3 times in a row on individual finals Duel- Soccer shootout was stupid Duel II- Partners was stupid Free Agents- Time Trial final...in partners....really?
Man what a WEAK episode. We had two of the challenge greats go into the final elimination only to have it be a bunch of puzzles. *** is that? I want to see these two go at it with everything they have to make it to the final. Then we have Laurel and Theresa who do not like each other. This could have made for an intense challenge if it wasn't puzzles.
I truly think you need another term to call Fresh Meat/Camila besides "non-cast member". By being on the show, they are, inherently, cast members. There is really no denying that they are, indeed, a part of the cast, as much as one might wish otherwise.
Now, now, we know that could never happen. If you give FM a true cast mate moniker, then Debut Album will have lost his/her irrational reason for hating the Fresh Meat + Camila cast ;) Just like the Challenge needs it's occasional crazy, our board needs our resident crazy. Just people lamenting his loss in the final and that he deserved to be there or at least get the chance to earn or lose his spot in a more deserving manner than some silly puzzle. You're pitting two of the biggest challengers in a elimination round and it's a freakin' puzzle? Talk about anti-climatic. I've never understood people lumping puzzles all into one bunch and assuming that if you're good at one type of puzzle, that you're good at them all. A math puzzle is not the same as a tangram puzzle. Give me a tangram and it's easy peasy. Give me a math one and we'll be there for a while. It's a good equalizer, and one that I think should be reserved for the challenge because you have other opportunities to make up for it. I just think it's silly to have them do an elimination so close to the final and not give them a real fair chance to earn their spot.
For those who want the answer to the last puzzle: 2 9 4 7 5 3 6 1 8
Yes, for folks wondering the "trick" is the 5 as the middle # goes in the middle, and the even numbers have to go on the corners (because each row, column, and diagonal needs 2 even numbers and 1 odd number). The odd numbers should be placed on the sides last. This can easily be done in less than a minute by following those rules.
I see BMP hired that racist body of water again :chargrined: Why they keep employing that moron is beyond me. Poor Devyn.
How about Rejects? I mean since they were RW finalists and all.
So what would you call Colin from RW Hawaii? He was originally a reject for the show but after giving him the chance to host the RW casting special, the producers changed their mind and gave him a spot. If anything, Colin is proof that the producers can be wrong too. Just because they were initially rejected doesn't mean they weren't worthy of being a cast member, if "worthy" is how you see it. At some point they were interesting enough to be finalists and by subjective elimination through the producers, a group of seven are picked. Any of them could have easily been a RW cast member. Them being on the challenge proves that the people behind the show must have thought so too, otherwise why bring them to the Challenge?
This puzzle is like 10 draws too late. There are MANY small fries who could have used this thing instead of getting trucked over like they did.

I love CT and would have loved a huge dramatic VET vs VET SHOWDOWN. super disappointing but such is life right? CT should have won this.
First of all, how can TJ even seethe puzzles?
There was a judge standing in the middle behind the competitors. Play it back slowly and you can see him. Obviously they didn't want the girls to reveal the puzzle answers before the guys went.

Okay, maybe I'm wrong, I guess there's a commonality to solving all the puzzles that we've seen so far.

He appeared on The Real World right? Okay then legit castmember. Not a Reject. And if production felt that these people were so worthy of being a castmember then why the **** didn't get put on they on The Real World to begin with? Okay so they went through the casting process an all that but THEY DIDN'T GET PICKED so clearly they didn't have what it takes to get on. If they couldn't even get on the Real World why would any of them be good for a challenge? I mean look. Not a single one of them are charismatic, interesting, or entertaining. Just blandness all around. They had a hand in Ruining this franchise. And if you can't see that then whatever. You(nor anyone else) are not going to convince me to accept these people as a pat of this franchise. They are a waste of several spots and are a big **** stain on this show.
Oh, so there's a pattern/trick to solving math puzzles like this too? Okay, maybe I'm wrong, I guess there's a commonality to solving all the puzzles that we've seen so far.
Watching it I knew instantly the 5 had to go in the middle (which it seemed no one competing knew and was wasting time with). There's only 6 ways you can then place numbers on the corners (9 and 8, 9 and 7, 9 and 6, 8 and 7, 8 and 6, 7 and 6) and the even numbers (8 and 6) is the only way it works. Could get it that way by trial and error. Laurel said herself she thought there was a "trick" on the math puzzle but it seemed to take her awhile to get it.
Production dropped the ball with this season. Bananas VS CT and Laurel VS Theresa sound EPIC on paper. But a ******* puzzle? To be honest I had this show ranked at an 8/10 but this seriously dropped it to a 6/10 for me. I could only imagine how different things would have been if every loser of that days challenge had to go in the draw.
I think she means he's going to berate her like he did Sam.
Hate to say it Youssarian but I sure hope so! She is the Big Easy of Free Agents ~ fun to be around but what was she thinking?

They are a waste of several spots and are a big **** stain on this show.
I know I'm not going to change your mind, but I don't think you have a grasp of how casting for the Real World works. In the producers' eyes, pretty much every person that makes the finals of casting is worthy of being cast on the show. At that point, they've gone through so many interviews and video tapes and they've gotten to know as much as they can about every person. There isn't some sort of final list that goes like, "Okay, well, Scott, Ryan, Chet, and JD are all more interesting than Noor and the other male finalists. We're going to cast them." In the finals, they're not concerned about finding who's going to be the most interesting, entertaining, or charismatic. At that point, the producers consider everyone to be interesting, entertaining, and charismatic. It's all about finding the best mix of people. Everyone in the finals has a chance to be cast in the producers' eyes. They're just trying to find what would be the most dynamic and different cast. That's why they sometimes call back previous people who were in the finals to try out again, or why people who audition again make it on the second time around.

This just further shows how out of touch production is with what the viewers want to see. Until tonight I was all for a Free Agents 2 with some minor changes to the rules. But after this lousy start to the final and that ridiculous final elimination I hope they never do a Free Agents 2. Why couldn't they do Duel 3 instead?
Honestly I think Zach and Devyn both did terribly. I don't know if one person could eff that up so badly. They probably tag teamed that disaster lo.

Man I initially htought this was going to be one of the best Challenge seasons in recent history but that went down the drain midway. I can see having puzzles be part of the final (history and all) but NOT the final elimination, what a way to screw over somebody deserving (ie CT and even Theresa). I honestly think production set this up on purpose by having Nany/Devyn and Zach/Reily draw first. They wanted an epic showdown with the least amount of energy expended. I honestly think this whole Challenge was a giant set up for two certain people to win. Who was in charge of Production...Kenny?? While reading through this thread I saw a post that says Suzy got a casting call...that officially rules out Exes 2 as the next Challenge (thank the Goddess!!) I am REALLY hoping for the return of the Gauntlet or Inferno. I saw Mark's tweet about old school vs new and that would make an excellent Inferno!!
Perhaps the simplest way to think of the math puzzle in terms of even and odds is to look at 3 ways of doing it (with the middle odd number in the middle). 1. O E O E O E O E O 2. E O O E O E O O E 3. E O E O O O E O E Clearly pattern 3 is the only way we can get an odd sum for every row, column, and diagonal.
Only with some viewers, not all of us.
Exactly. Not everyone cares about seeing the best competitors at the end. I don't get why people are complain about the final elimination being a puzzle. We've already seen Ct and Backpack get physical with each other before. No need to see it again. And Laurel was gong to beat Theresa regardless of what it was. So it's not a big deal that it was a puzzle. At least for me.

That would be so much better than an Exes 2 because it would require production to invite some cast members that haven't been on a Challenge in a while.

Diem and Laurel cause they didn't want to be that open and I believe Kenny and/or Evan were giving a choice between TRW and Challenges.
Ooh scandal. Are you all listening to Devyn on the Afterbuzz? So I was right about Nany's tweets. Cara admitted in the green room at the reunion to Nany and Devyn that her crying when it was between her and Theresa going in was part of her political game. No wonder Nany tweeted "cry me a river" last week and talked about playing characters. I would be ****** too if I were Nany because Nany actually felt for her. If this is true Cara is such a fake for getting mad at Theresa, and her fans have no clue.
Well I feel silly having defended Miss Cara Maria I wouldn't be mad about never seeing Devyn on one of these ever again
