Johnny is a good competitor, but what he excels at is at the political game. I mean don't get me wrong he is physically good too, but there are at least 10 other men that I would pick to be on my team over Johnny just based on physicality.
Also people don't like to give him credit because he is a ******** and they just don't like him. I'm one of those people too.
If they can get enough awesome competitors for a duel 3 it'll be interesting to see how Johnny will fair. I bet he wouldn't/doesn't win.
I'm with you on all points.
He's good but I just feel like the challenges he's won, the competition sucked and it was very easy for him to control or make it through the game physically and politically. I even recall Evan or Kenny (one of the two) stating this themselves on an old podcast about Johnny and hey maybe they could just be hating.
The Island and The Ruins were super easy for JKE and as for the partner challenges all people have to do is avoid 5 rounds or so. It just feels like everything worked out for him having Tyler and Camila while others had weak players or people they truly could not work with. I NEED Johnny on another duel or a diff rent format where he's going against elite folks and not chumps just so I can truly give my hats off to him.
But whatever, a win's a win.
...and you know what I love about this regular Johnny-is-worth-**** argument here on Vevmo...
If the members here were in a position where they'd have to pick either CT or Johnny as a partner for a challenge, the ones who'd actually like to make money would pick Johnny in a heart-beat.
Bring on the hate, but it's the truth..
In this case, your truth is highly suspect.

Lies. I'm sorry but I'm going to have to call bull**** on this one. He's not even humble anyway.
CT is the Kevin Durant (previously the Lebron James) if he just gets one official win he'll be without a doubt the best the show has had
I agree. No real mman walks around with a list in his pocket of RW/RR women he's slept with... A list he is known to have openly shown to people. Yup, there goes a real role model.
Are you kidding me? Next people are going to start saying that darell's 4 win's don't mean anything.
Which they can't because Darrell is the business.

Totally. And speaking of the letter thing, I heard rumblings about that but didn't think to much of it. But yeah he may be cool in person of if one "gets to know him" but I always found Johnny, post-KW to be really aggravating, backstabbing and rude.
That is a pure turn-off. Like you would expect people, well men in the movies to do some nonsense like that.
Johnny is the Terry Bradshaw of The Challenge. 4 championships, but no one considers him an all-time great quarterback.
LOL. Good one. :encouragement:

Or maybe on some HBO show where stereotypes and character names reach their pinnacle.
Where is townie to come and give us more confusing comments that can go in every direction. They said you dont know anything, dude you gona take that? Any other insiders wana give more hints??
I'll give my rant about Johnny then, hes ok, not the greatest physically, hes won, good for him many others struggled to do so. Only legit win in my eyes is exes though.
Island=thank god Ev played to win and that the other boat was ****, only challenge where you can lose elimination and stay and his key was taken away and he had Derrick throw it so he can get his key back
Ruins=BS challengers that couldnt win anything, only time they did was cause Derrick cant read
rivals=Wes/Kenny won that, congrats Johnny you can work a compass better than those other 2 knuckle heads, forget the fact that the puking dying ginger still somehow managed to run faster than you and Tyler and beat you by 45 min
exes= good job, Camilla isnt the best but she can hang, and hes descent at challenges so his girl can beat the other girls and they worked well together
Or maybe on some HBO show where stereotypes and character names reach their pinnacle.
That would've been a fun character on Entourage, the guy carries around a list of C-list celebrities he slept with and he keeps annoying Ari who eventually rips the list up and burns it in this trash can. The character then flips out and stomps the fire out trying to piece together the remaining pieces because now he'll forget the actressess...I should stop before a TV show really uses a character like this now hahahahaha

Seriously though, there is a generic thread just for stuff like this. Not that these discussions are of use anyway, because people generally lack an objective point of view on matters as these...
Let's get back on topic, please. This is our last open thread.
The Island: Would have been taken out had Abe stayed; lucky.
The Ruins: With that scrub of a Challengers Team?
Rivals: Kenny/Wes had a 45-minute lead which got shortened to a 3-minute one.
Exes: Had one of the better females as a partner.
I don't remember much from the Island as far as how eliminations went but you're living in a fantasy land if you think Abe would take Johnny out. Don't let what happened on Cutthroat fool you, Bananas is a strong dude and would make short work of the little weirdo from Montana. Abe doesn't even lift and his psycho stuff is just an act for the camera. You saw how much that psycho act helped him in a physical/strength elimination with Ty, who has about as much endurance as Oprah on an incline treadmill.

First post coming in hot..
Island = the island was all about politics as there werent that many challenges...johnny played the game right and won because of that. yeah he got lucky sometimes with abe quitting and evelyn joining his side, but if you remember he actually got his key stolen by ev and won it back in a challenge so he proved himself worthy of that key. at the end of the day, he made the right moves and right relationships that made him win so he played the game right and deserved it.
ruins = dont even talk about this was a "BS" challenge...it was a challenge nonetheless. do you not remember johnny taking out dunbar at the very last elimination round?? and make up all the excuses you want about how dunbar is not a good player and blah blah...he still went in there, did what he had to do and was an integral part of his team winning the final.
rivals= i honestly thought you were joking with this one..him and tyler were clearly one of the best male teams there the entire time! there chemistry was undeniable because they werent really rivals. they performed excellent on the final and last time i checked it was wes's fault that him and kenny didnt win. tyler and johnny performed well the entire final, not just the compass bull**** at the end.
exes = thank god you were right about something.
have some respect, just because they guy can be a ****** sometimes doesn't take away from how good of a competitor he is. i think he's gotten better in terms of his douchinesss since cut throat anyway.
The guy with the most rings doesnt always mean he is the best, see robert horry..But i feel Johnny has really improved himself from the earlier challenges and has been a lot more well rounded than he used to be just a loudmouth who was afraid to go in, he proved since on rivals/exes he can go in..Johny is an ***, but he also is very smart when it comes to getting it done. I feel the ruins as a whole was a joke of a challenge, but johnny beat dunbar, which is more than his other buddies can say on that challenge.
But anyyyyway...i feel marlon/jordan are def the mike/leroy of this challenge they appear to be in good terms with everyone so far. Maybe they flew under the radar too or did just enough not to get voted in or have to go in, but we will see.
I do agree that Bananas is 1 of the better player now but he certainly has gotten plenty of breaks along the way. The Island: Abe quits he woulda been gone episode 2. That led to him being a CHAMPION on the ruins and that challenger team was a joke all he really had to do was beat Dunbar. For Rivals the whole show was just easy. They controlled the mob and their was only 4 eliminations plus evan was goin in 1 of em on purpose. When they went against CT and Adam in T-bone Adam lost it they didnt win ****. in the final Kenny and Wes Dominated them and then gave them a 2 minute head start in a needle and haystack competition. Exes was basically the same thing. A bunch of his friends and a good partner that can beat most of the other girls there. This challenge basically sounds the same.
Ok so people keep saying CT has no political game and that Johnny has an amazing one. In duel 1, there is a seen where CT says before the first challenge to eric, brad, derrick and evan that "johnny's going under" meaning that they will pick him to go into the first elimination. Then in the guantlet 3: evan was voted into the gauntlet by the rookies, and ct told him: "pick johnny, he's got a bum ankle" so the entire vets vote for johnny to go in. My question is, when did johnny get more political power that CT? Bc in those 2 challenges, kenny, evan, paula, evelyn, and the people that now make up JEK alliance were listening to CT. Even in the first mission in Gauntlet 1, when the daily challenge was tied and they had to send in 1 male to face in the overtime game, they picked CT vs the rookies Derek. Someone please explain

I dunno about you, but on paper CT/WES sounds more of the champion than johnny/frank. I feel johnny/frank would be considered the underdog but won, pulling off the upset

Johnny would've been eliminated in the second episode. They didn't win the face-off they were in and Abe told everyone to vote him out since he had to be home for work. Even then, Johnny was almost voted off.

Yep, Rachel went right after him too.

Good point, and then that made him be on the next challenge on the champion team. When did JEK really form? I would say it formed during the ruins, bc prior to that JEK was on the duel and the guantlet 3, and evan listened to CT to call out johnny.
anyway, about that rivals 2 season..
I think if they have good elimination formats this season can be great with some of these teams. I wasn't really a fan of any of the seasons eliminations except the one with cj/zach i don't remember what that was called. Since teams are not guy/girl they can do a lot of phsycial ones this season, at least i hope. I liked a couple of the exes elimination rounds though xbattle and the one ty/emily won with teh rope resistane was pretty cool..
But i have high hopes they wont do puzzles for the guys "jungles" and it will be intense! i'd be cool with them having a combo of rivals 1/exes eliminations even.

His island "politics" were absolutely terrible, what are you talking about? Why would you **** off the one person who is your biggest opponent in the game? The only reason they had power was cause that whole cast sucked minus Evelyn, Kelly Anne, Rachel and the ppl who won and his prize moment was beating couhatta, cause Derrick threw it to help him.
And dunbar aint that great sorry. As for Rivals are you serious? You think they deserved to win that final? I was pretty fair in my assessment no one thinks they should have won that,I think every cast member agreed. I dont care if him and Tyler got along better, the winner isnt determined by whose a better team its by who won and they got along cause theyre friends and Wes/Kenny had to actually put aside their differences. And how did Kenny lose cause of Wes? They still beat them by 45 min on day 1? You cant really say its fair that all that hard work on day 1 should be thrown away and now this compass bull crap should determine the winner, and they won only by like 8 seconds, nothing to be proud of. I'm pretty fair, I think this guy got a lot of breaks, always was given a capable partner, not someone like Mandi or Naomi

I dont think they can do stuff like x-battle, in a way guy/girl teams are better cause we can get guy on guy eliminations but with guy/guy partners it has to be a team thing cause how would they pick who goes against who

From what I understand, the three are kind of lumped together by default because Kenny is close friends with both Evan and Johnny...but I don't think Evan and Johnny are really all THAT tight of friends...meaning I could see either one stabbing the other in the back to improve their stock in the game whereas neither would do that with Kenny.

Didn't Evan already force this into happening in Ruins? I know sent Johnny in but it seems to me Evan forced Johnny into being in the inner circle to start with.
I have some questions. If CT/Wes win a couple of elims won't they be the #1 and #2 in elimination wins? Also has any team who didn't win the final ever go home with more money than the winner? If this is a first they should be "considered" the champions of the season imo
You know CT hasn't been in that many elimination rounds right?
He beat Shane on The Inferno.
Didn't go in on The Duel.
Beat Evan on the Duel then lost to Brad.
Didn't go in on The Gauntlet III.
Beat Evan & Nehemiah on Rivals then lost to Johnny & Tyler.
Didn't go in on Battle of the Exes.
He is only 3-2 in eliminations.
