I don't find Wes' trash talking offensive at all. I don't know why it's causing such a hate fest. His "I 'm the greatest" stick I've heard before from every other player who's at least halfway good. LOL He's the least offensive of the CT/JEK foursome, IMO.

Didn't you find offensive whe he called his girlfriend stupid******* in national t.v or when he said that Shane was weak because he is gay or when he called Tonya a s*** because she didn't want to vote agaisnt Shane and Lynnete in Fresh Meat 1
He's pretty chill outside the show, I was surprised that he didn't trash talk anyone unlike Kenny and Johnny that do that constantly. lol so he was interviewed for 3 hours and the greek god comment was the only one he used? Not surprised him and CT are cool but he even complimented Johnny and Kenny.. and I kinda felt bad like he doesn't even know that Derrick talks so much **** about him oh and I feel bad for Nehemiah because apparently Evan wanted to quit. Lol and the CT fight started with a friendly chat and when CT went nuts he sat there for the cameras, but damn he didn't look that drunk for drinking wine and vodka for 4 hours.
You could tell Derrick was like sighing and mocking some of what he was saying, but Wes came across good on the podcast i thought. He basically acknowledged his part in some of the drama with CT, his cockblocking, and made fun of himself about his ridiculous comments. HE does the same thing on the after shows which means he probably just really plays it up for the cameras and is not like that at all. Unless he puts on an act to try to save face, but i believe what he was saying on the podcast, but i think it was obvious Derrick was not a fan.
Wes trying to convince Nehemiah why he had to go in on the dday plan that failed was funny because had no real reason besides Evan apparently not wanting to be there. Nehemiah wasn't buying it.
Overall it's good to see he may not be the most arrogant person ever in real life :)
Puck was a complete ******* Wes is nothing like him, and he wasn't cocky at all on the podcast, I just don't like the fact that he complimented Derrick, Kenny and Johnny when those guys talk so much **** about him and I guess they don't say it to his face, he needs to get on twitter!!
When you think about it, that's why CT probably was so on edge during his podcast with Derrick/Kenny. Because he knows they talk about him a lot and why would you be all nice and cordial to them than. Wes took responsibility for what he said and even said nice things about people he probably doesn't like. Derrick totally had a "yea right" and was like laughing at some of the stuff Wes was saying in a serious tone. Derrick clearly doesn't like him. He was even trying to lead him into saying cocky stuff at one point just to prove his point but Wes wasn't biting.
I don't even like Wes on the show at all, but it seems that he is pretty chill off so that makes me feel a lot better in regards to his ridiculous cockiness on the shows.
So Wes's top 5, in terms of being well rounded, in no particular order while not including himself, according to this podcast is CT, Brad, Derrick, Kenny, and Johnny. He doesn't think Landon and Darrell are that well rounded.

Yeah and CT didn't have twitter at the time either, he didn't like that they called him a monster and didn't want to talk about people from the show, then he asked if they would have his back and they're like yeah! Which was complete bull ****, Derrick just tried to make everything Wes says into something negative, he sounded good on this podcast but yet he's retweeting crap like Oh Wes wont shut up bla bla, if it was just Nehemiah and Derrick the podcast wouldn't flow as well. Its a podcast that's what he's there for, he's there to talk so why are people complaining?
I don't think Wes was talking THAT much compared to some of the other guests Derrick has had on. I was actually kinda annoyed how Derrick made him reduce his answer to whether or not he's cool with CT right now to one word. I think it would have been interesting if he elaborated on that.
Other than that it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. But I get the impression that Wes has no idea that Derrick has trashed him in previous podcasts.

Yeah I know! He got to give this elaborate answer about how he feels about stupid Kenny but then he made him only say 1 word about CT, but whatever he said they're cool and CT and Nehemiah are friends and they all hung out last week so it was pretty obvious they were cool, even in the preview for this episode they seemed ok with each other when they were watching Jasmin and Jonna argue. Lol before the season started people were like oh Wes was talking **** about CT and that's why they were fighting when that fight started with Wes and CT staying up and drinking together. And who cares about Kenny and Johnny he should have asked him about other cast members. And on some podcasts people literally talk over one another so wtf is Derrick talking about, this one was easy to listen to. But yeah I cringed when he complimented Derrick/Johnny/Kenny, but whatever he probably doesn't go out of his way to see what others say about him at least the challenges don't consume his whole life.
He didn't talk nearly as much as CT, Abram, or Dustin did. Wes is just involved with more interesting things than Nehemiah. Not that Nehemiah is boring. Who could forget him on the Austin reunion calling out Danny? lol. It's just Wes has more to answers to give for some of his stuff.
And his response to all the crap he talks in his confessional was pretty much what I assumed. I assumed he just goes in there in his interviews and just says anything and doesn't care how it makes him look. He's just giving them good footage. And that's pretty much what he told Derrick on the podcast in response to his Zeus comment. lol.
He mentioned Johanna a couple of times. I always thought he really loved her and it's sad they didn't work out. Johanna seems to be on good terms with a lot of the castmembers. I wonder if him and Johanna are on good terms now.
This podcast proves the point V1man has been trying to tell everyone about Wes is portrayed on this show.
What we see of Wes on challenges, in no way should make us think this is the way he acts in his normal life. On the podcast, he was very chill, level headed and grounded with all of his answers and explanations of certain situations.
If you still think he's as bad as you did before listening to it, that's fine, but you were at least able to see the contrast of how someone really is and how they're portrayed on a tv show.

Yeah, buddy! Wes is a thoroughly likable dude! I like him a lot. JEK are so quick to badmouth others that I had to check if they were girls trying to pass as dudes. Wes, on the other hand, is a nice, chill, mother****er, I think he is not an A hole, Unlike Kenny, who says he has CT's back and then calls him a juiced up junky ****

I think that was a shot at their social games than anything. Their win percentages speak for themselves.
^ Darrell's social game is on point, if you really stop and think about it. He busts his *** barely enough to stay out of elimination rounds but not enough to be perceived as a huge threat. He lays low, doesn't antagonize anyone, and throws in a random outburst and hilarious one-liner every once in a while to be asked back for future challenges. It's genius.

Yeah I don't know why he said Darrel and Landon werent top 5, lol but he was saying something about the definition that him and Derrick agreed on some how made them not as good, couldn't really hear what he said. I think he said that because he thinks they're social game isn't that good, which can be true because they are not usually in alliances and Landon tried to back stab him on FM2, which I guess is kind of dumb when he's in your alliance and Kenny/Laurel were a bigger problem and Darrel always sends him into exile on FM1 so I think it was personal lol
Well, seeing as how Wes called Derrick dumb/stupid behind his back on more than one occasion on the Ruins, I can see why Derrick doesn't think too highly of Wes. Of course, what I saw on the Ruins/the Ruins Dailies could have been edited, but I highly doubt it was.
That podcast actually didn't change my opinion about Wes at all. Get a couple of drinks in him and he'll be calling himself Zeus or Hercules in no time.
He was always a cocky little ****, but at least he's consistent. I really don't think his persona is that much different in real life.

Really? It didn't change my opinion because I never took his cocky comments seriously because I thought it was just editing because seeing him off the shows is always way different, I thought he was way different than on rivals, he sounded the way he used to years ago on the after shows. I am surprised he didn't make fun of Kenny because after all Kenny has been sucking and Wes got them through ep4 and he wasn't drunk when he said the zeus stuff lol he said he sat there for 3 hours and thats the only line they used. I think he just gets bored and starts saying stupid ****, I think I would go nuts if a therapist asked me stupid questions for 3 hours and would probably start saying dumb stuff too. I thought he was mature and respectful, unlike Johnny/Kenny/Derrick and he didn't even say anything cocky but Derrick was trying to make him say cocky stuff. If you want to see a weird podcast listen to Dustin Zito, even Adam King was very judgmental on his.

Really? Do you think he called Casey stupid dumb ***** just because he was boring?
I honestly think he just thinks when he is losing/struggling it is never his fault. A lot of people with high self esteem do that so he lashes out anyway he can to show people it's not him losing. He does think he is athletically superior, so if he is struggling, pointing the finger seems easier than realizing he may not be the Greek god he thought he was.
When not competing or on camera, he seems like a totally different guy because he isn't trying to prove anything. Kind of like CT is a lot more chill off the shows, because the intensity of the challenge brings out their competitiveness and can cause people to act different. It's hard to explain but [strike]their[/strike] there are people who even in a 3 on 3 pickup game, will do whatever it takes to win and will get in a fight over a call even if there is no prize. Wes/CT seem like those people. A lot of other castmembers don't. It's just ultra competitiveness and the need to win/be the best.
I think JEK are about the same on an off camera because they don't have as much competitiveness/i have to be the best attitude as Wes/CT do. They want to not only win but prove they are the best I think, JEK just wants the money. I don't think they don't care if they are considered the best individually.
I don't condone anyone putting down anyone else, just my speculation as to why he does that stuff.
Really? Do you think he called Casey stupid dumb ***** just because he was boring?
Dude that was years ago and he only called her that once, not excusing it and he apologized and he yelled at Johanna too but who has never got in a heated argument with their bf/gf? Casey sucked and I guess he was angry/frustrated and didn't know how to encourage her. If she had Kenny/Johnny she would get way worse. Definitely not the same as giving a girl hell for a whole month like Johnny with Ev and Kenny with Sarah.

If you're talking about The Ruins, I do have to come to Kenny's defense (and I don't even like him) and say that when he said stuff, he was always just playing around. It was the one time that Johnny made fun of her that she started to cry, and that's because he said some legit mean things.
I'm listening to this dolt's podcast with Derrick and he makes absolutely no sense and contradicts himself so much.
When he is going to name off his five best challenge competitors, he says that CT is the most athletic person on the challenges but that he isn't a very well-rounded competitor and that he disqualifies far, far more than Wes himself does.
First off, how can he be the most athletic player and not be very well-rounded? I've never seen CT not be able to hack something physically or athletically on the challenges ever. Half of his disqualifications came from not listening to the rules and the other half resulted from him disqualifying on purpose... it had nothing to do with his all-around abilities.
CT has been disqualified a total of four times on daily challenges in all of his challenge appearances... 2 in Duel 1 and 2 on Gauntlet 3, and he disqualified on purpose both times on the latter challenge. Wes has already been disqualified on this challenge alone a total of 4 times.

Yeah - I had the same reaction while listening to it. It came across (to me, at least) that Wes was trying so hard to seem chill and "go with the flow" and that he really doesn't care about the challenges -- and then he'd have some minor slip ups and his real self would shine through occasionally.

Did you also watch the dailies? He said some mean stuff, called her a *****, fat, emo, flat chested, I thought it was just cruel and she clearly didn't like it but was hiding it. Even if you are messing around you shouldn't do that on national tv especially if she doesn't like it.

Yeah he is whack, I also had to laugh at him saying Brad is one of the best five challenge competitors ever and then justified leaving Darrell and Landon off his list because he didn't think they were that good. Darrell and Landon have both won more top individual performer awards on challenge days than Brad, are much better consistent athletic performers than Brad, and each have significantly more final challenge wins than Brad does too.

I can somewhat understand how one can see that Darrell isn't well-rounded, but I don't get how he can leave Landon off of such a list. Then again, he's only done one show with Landon so that could be the reason why.
Landon and CT are, in my opinion, 1A and 1B in terms of being the top all-around challenge competitors ever from an athletic standpoint. I think CT is slightly more athletic to outperform Landon on most of the day-to-day challenge stuff, an elimination round between the two of them would be a toss-up based on what the concept was, and Landon would beat CT head-to-head in a marathon long distance final. For Wes to say Landon is not that good is absurd. He dominated a strong male cast on Duel 2 and it was very impressive how he pulled off the virtually impossible by winning a tough final with Carley as a partner on Fresh Meat 2.
