Just checked mtv scheduled the Diem special is just 30 mins from 9-930 and a rerun 930-10. They didnt add the extra 1-2 mins that they tend to do when they released a trailer.
If this challenge actually airs anytime in early january then some kind of MTV official announcement would be made this week or the next one.

Thats not always the case! They are doing an awkward Marathon from the first season to the last one they just aired...Some of their season is 21 episodes long. Next week or so..the cast was filming something last week too.

I think its a smart move from MTV...Both shows will benefit on ratings, similar to awkward/Faking it.
That's a brutal time slot for me on the east coast with work and school, and I just got rid of DVR ! But I'm happy we will see it sooner than later
