Wow that sucks , they didn't have to do a house visit but at the least a casting special. It's almost a month away and I haven't even seen any ads on MTV.
Thanks V1 Man

MTV Networks general marketing approach is not to promo its show earlier that one month out, so a trailer could appear as early as in the next Wed, 10 pm hour, but I'd bet on it appearing later on the calendar unless there is an ad hole that can be filled earlier. The marketing geniuses tell is there is a science to this stuff.
It's really annoying checking this site and seeing certain threads updated because it makes me think there is new info on the Cancun season.
There actually was updated information on the Cancun season. Maybe you didn't read the thread entirely to notice...
June 24th is so far away. Oh well what can you do.
I cant wait! Hopefully its like Hollywood which was the perfect mixture of Las Vegas and Brooklyn.
Do you think we will see a trailer tonight?
We seen the first teaser of RW Brooklyn after the Island Reunion show which was November 5th. After that, the trailer was leaked online. I'm not sure how long it took for them to put it back up after it was taken back down but right after the Island reunion show the RW Brooklyn website appeared.
If Cancun is premiering June 24th, a trailer should be out soon. They had tons of promos for Brooklyn, I remember people who don't even watch the RW were excited about it.
I'm getting antsy.
The reason I'm not looking forward to this season is because I feel like the show is regressing. Brooklyn wasn't perfect but it was the closest thing to the original seasons that we've seen in a long time. The cast was REAL and their issues were REAL and IMPORTANT. Cancun has an artificial location with a seemingly artificial cast and has more in common with RW Las Vegas than say RW San Francisco or New York. I've watched every season but have not really "enjoyed" for the right reason since Chicago (dont get me wrong, I liked Vegas but for all the wrong reasons). Up until Hollywood and Brooklyn all of the season have ranged from mediocre to downright boring (ie Denver - sorry Colie's Mom, I still like Colie just not the season). End rant - now on I go to check out the DC thread hoping BMP will redeem itself.

Actually, there were some REAL issues. Don't judge a book by its' cover. Just because we don't have a montage in black & white with serious quotes doesn't mean real shit didn't go on. Thank you.
Some of us really grew up from this experience, we had to learn to deal with our personal issues for the first time. Regardless of the booze and partying cause our real issues were still there in our face when we woke up.
Yea cancun was funny and did my share of partying as the "party girl"! But I also left cancun a better person with a whole different outlook on life and my future.
Most people go to cancun for a week to party. I lived there for 4 months to grow and my roomies helped me with that.We might not have gotten along at times but they are my family and I respect them.
So you can judge me and my roomies if that makes you feel better but you will only know 1% of what we went threw together and as individuals!!
The wisest course of action is to ask that potential fans give the cast a chance.
Negativity of discourse before the season airs has never proven to be a success for any show in the history of TV. In fact, there is a tremendous body of evidence that it is very counterproductive.
We urge our clients to sit back and observe initial reaction to their show before playing to one's strength, accenting the positive things which move people and collectively entertain or touch their souls. There will always be negatives about every show, and some of those will be accurate. It's neither the end of the world nor is it cause to always respond. In responding, you find yourself equal to the detractors, post or posts. It is the unwelcome reality of the Internet.
Not sure if this was posted yet, but here's a spoiler (well, more of a rumor)
Joey from this season lives not to far from me, and I actually recall seeing him working at TGIFridays. Apparently he gets kicked off the show for the same reason as He who must not be named from Hollywood, he gets fired!!
This is just a rumor, but word travels fast in my neck of the woods. It will be interesting to see if this is factual or not.
Someone once told me that somebody was kicked off the show for not participating. But I didn't get revealed if it was a male/female. This source was someone close to the Cancun season. So I'll believe it. As a matter of fact, they were a member here.
Well that would sure suck if he left, but the participation thing is a rule to abide by.
What is with BMP and their job rules? They had the same rule for the Bad Girls Club on Season 2.
Yup. I actually kinda like it because then it doesn't make it so that everybody is sitting around doing nothing.
I mean if he left that sucks, but I understand it had to happen.
I like Joey and all but if he does leave then i think that'll be kind of interesting to see how his departure affected the other roommates, assuming he has a close relationship with all the roommates unlike Greg did when he left.

Joey is cool and all now but that sucks. I thought maybe he was crying because somebody passed or took away his girl.
What is with BMP and their job rules?
Well considering they get a stipend for already being there I say participating is an easy and noble rule to follow.
Well what time did you see him at? Taping could have easily been done by then.
Oh, I saw him working there over a year ago. Before being on the Real World was an option in his life.

That really sucks that he got kicked off. He is a nice person?
while i understand you may have grown and lived in cancun for 4 months i would be interested to see if you actually saw mexico, or stayed in your comfort zone americanized party city. I am not trying to jump to conclusions but am just interested. In RW Brooklyn they reached out to the community and the city, Sarah worked for free arts NYC which is actually a great organization that does a lot. i respect your growth but what made brooklyn so different was that they reached out, and not to jump to conclusions again, but at first glance it seems your reaching out may be to overprivilged kids on spring break, and maybe i am wrong but thats just how it seems

haha. I guess presented that's how it may appear, but you're in for a *great treat* if you actually watch.. you forget where we were located. cancun isn't all "spring break and fun" it's in MEXICO.
