It was better than just about any of the seasons following Las Vegas ... As Insider put it, you need to see the older seasons when people were not so hyped on just getting on the show to do very little. Miami actually was the first time they had to work togther getting a place and it was the first big house on the water too.
I think if RW24 and RW25 don't get their ratings up that the RW26 will probably be the end. They need to get it back up in the 2 to 3 million range...that's going to be critical.
You do know that 26 is the last ordered season right? After of which the contract is up for renewal. At least that's what I got out of the last renewal.
Yes -- it was a great season, actually. The cast was very dynamic and interesting.
I agree. One of my favorite seasons - it's been my number one, actually, for a long time. Highly recommend it.
You do know that 26 is the last ordered season right? After of which the contract is up for renewal. So basically, the ratings for RW24 and the beginning of 25 are going to be critical.
Oh ok. I misunderstood you.
Not necessarily. The brooklyn season was not green-lit to begin until after the hollywood season was done.
I stand corrected. Typically, contract talks take a long time. And if MTV plans to continue a tight schedule with 2 RWs a year plus challenges, it will need to be done before RW26 as to prepare for planning.
I think Miami was the second best after Boston. Flora alone makes it worth the watch.
I've been hoping for a 'Back to Miami' season for what seems like the longest time now!!
I would love Back to Miami; however, they did Key West and plus Jersey Shore will be in Miami...so I don't think it will happen for a while. They are much more likely to do Fort Lauderdale or Orlando before going back to Miami.
Everyone needs to see the first 8 seasons, especially if you have only seen from Las Vegas on. There were some tough issues dealt with in those early seasons: Tami's pregnancy & abortion, Pedro's entire situation, just the London cast, Dan & Michelle's blowup in Miami, Flora, Joe & his model fiancee, Genesis, Montana's self-righteousness, Stephen, David & his GF, and Ruthie's alcoholism.
^ Do you mean Dan and Melissa's blowup? Yeah, that's classic.
I think Miami was the second best after Boston. Flora alone makes it worth the watch.
Boston is another one of my favorites. My number two, although I've been thinking about it recently and I wonder if I like it just as much as Miami. Regardless, those seasons and B2NY were long my favorites. I agree that Flora alone is enough of a reason to watch Miami. Love her or hate her, I don't know if there has been anyone else at her level. There have been people who have been rude, but not as dynamic or colorful with it as Flora was. And even when she wasn't insulting or arguing or yelling at someone, she was still interesting.
Yeah, I meant Dan & Melissa. ... He seemed so whiny on the show, if I remember, and then did Challenges and came up with the best commentary more than half the time. Dan & Coral ought to offer commentary on any Challenges like sports broadcasters. I think it would be golden to get their opinions during the middle of Challenges and it might actually give them some spark now.

Have you ever seen the RW hookups DVD? Dan and Coral did that together and it was interesting. And Melissa (New Orleans season) and Teck were guests. It was fun to see Coral and Melissa do something together, since some of Melissa's blogs about them are entertaining. Does anyone know if Flora is still married to Mitchell?
I just heard that there was Reuninted type show the first Real World. Is this true, if so is there anywhere to see it?

It seems to be the only logical reason they have been doing a horrible job promoting and mainataining viewership since Brooklyn while putting their 495 development programs in very high rotation and promotion.
D.C. was the first season I ever watched, and it was pretty interesting. Then I went back and watched Cancun and Hollywood, and D.C. definitely doesn't stack up. They shouldn't of casted Callie, Emily, Ty, or Josh. In my opinion they didn't bring enough to the plate to make this season as interesting as the other two seasons I watched. Hopefully New Orleans will be good. From the sound of the cast, it will be.

Sydney is one of the best seasons....but yeah your right D.C. is one of the worst seasons of the real world ever...
Too many of the cast had no story to tell. Having said that i did like the cast, and am looking forward to seeing them on the challenges

Yeah...that holds a lot of weight.

I don't know why people hate Denver and Sydney so much. I thought they were quite good.

I like Denver. One of the things I remember is that this was the season that started the widescreen format.
I love Denver! That season had probably the biggest drama queen of any season, Brooke, but she was still very lovable.
Denver had def. one of the most dynamic, likable, and diverse casts in a long time and had a perfect balance of serious and stupid funny party type drama. Also had prob. the best job they've ever given a cast. I loved Alex, Colie, and Stephen. Syndey had a great location and some of the most memorable fights in the series...good drama. Isaac was the man! & also who could forget Parisa vs. every other girl in the house.
Personally, I think the show went downhill after New Orleans as everything became predictable. The early 2000s were when Reality TV began popping up on EVERY channel so that's when I think RW began to lose its edge. Don't get me wrong...there were a few good moments after New Orleans but the overall seasons were less original than pre-NO. I really hope RW25 brings some people and stories into the mix that haven't been on the show before. Put some edgy stuff out there in the way that shows like Intervention have done.
I know there's fans of the Real World Chicago or seen the show. So there's this moment on the Real World Chicago when Aneesa was in a confrontation with someone (I forgot who it was and it's pretty blank) but it was one dramatic moments of the season. I wanna know what song was playing, its stuck on my head and it has an upbeat tempo, very r&b dramatic, and with an adrenaline rush. Also when it was played there was a black fade in and out effect of Aneesa. I wanna what song it is, its driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!! :dash2:
Real world chicago??? i have no idea what your talking about that was a long time ago. How do you remember that? Do you know where to watch that season online? I've always wanted to watch that season bc I never saw it, I was to young. I think you may be referring to the fight with Aneesa vs. her girlfriend at the time, I actually saw only that episode because Logo was showing it randomly one morning it was kinda funny...idky. But I remember Theo calling her girlfriend a gremlin...man I wish I could see that season, it one of the ones no one ever talks about anymore but yet I hear nothing but good things about...
