[*] On 12 April 2009, a State of Emergency was declared in Bangkok and surrounding provinces following violent clashes between security authorities and protesters. The State of Emergency, which remains in place, bans the gathering of more than five people. The military continues to patrol key sites in Bangkok and surrounding areas and the situation remains unpredictable. However, major protest action has ceased.
[*] Demonstrations can develop quickly and with little warning. Disruption in the city and other parts of Thailand, including to transport and other infrastructure, could occur. You should avoid demonstration sites, political rallies, military deployments and concentrations of security personnel. You should also closely monitor developments and follow any instructions issued by local authorities. If you are in an area where demonstrators are gathering, you should leave the area immediately.
[*] There is an ongoing border dispute between Thailand and Cambodia relating to land adjacent to the Khao Pra Viharn temple (Preah Vihear in Khmer). There were instances of fighting between Thai and Cambodian military troops in October 2008 resulting in some injuries and fatalities. Australians are urged to be particularly vigilant if travelling to these areas and to monitor local media.
[*] We strongly advise you not to travel at this time to the southern provinces of Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat and Songkhla or overland to and from the Malaysian border through these provinces due to high levels of ongoing violence in these regions, including terrorist attacks and bombings resulting in deaths and injuries on an almost daily basis. Since January 2004, more than 3300 people have reportedly been killed and many more injured, including a number of foreigners. If you are in these provinces, you should consider leaving.
[*] The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed human deaths from avian influenza in Thailand. See the Health Issues section below for advice to Australians travelling to or resident in Thailand.

The Amazing Race was just there and actually used Thailand as the base for the eliminated contestants from around the world to be sequestered. Must be a calculated risk.
Honestly, the state it seems to be in is very scary, but in the end, I don't think they are that dumb to pick a place with the severe consequences.
I also thought about 3 teams, one of them being winners, one being those who have never won a final, and those who have never seen a final. All speculation.

There are political problems in the capitol, but the resort areas are fine.
A more ominous and immediate threat to the cast would be someone trying to smuggle in some ganja.I've seen Brokedown Palace. They don't want to go that route!

Perhaps BMP will send all the members that either fought during there season or during one of the challanges as a form of punishment with a reward. So expect members like CT, Adam L., Abram, Donnell, Stephen, Tina B., etc to comprise of most of the cast.

I know exactly what you mean. Not that I have a son/daughter on reality TV, but I don't think I would make it through something like that either if it were me and my daughter.

I do too, but I don't see too many if you know what I mean. I see there being maybe 5 or 6 altogether. I would love to see that too. We have never had the privilege of watching The Vets fight against the odds.
The past performance idea definitely has me thinking Inner Circle. If they brought back Inner Circle that would be epic. But then again, I prefer to see actual elimination rounds.
