Who is Demi Lovato? Is she even famous?
She's huge with the younger audience. While it may not be what I would've done, I think it was smart.
How young is young? because I'm 22 and I've never even heard of her.
It would be weird seeing a teenie bopper that anybody over 20 has never heard of mentoring the above 30's, the groups would probably be too hard to handle, the boys would be slightly awkard...so is she guaranteed to mentor the girls?
I was really hoping for Gwen Stefani or Pink or someone that was cool and relevant....at least we got Britney.

7-16ish. I'm not too familiar with her, but she does have one song, Skyscraper, that's really good and Drew even sang it last year. She's a much better choice than Cheryl Cole or Nicole Sherzinger, who just about nobody knew. If they were gonna go for the teeny bopper demographic, I would've rather seen Miley, just because I think she'd be more entertaining.
I've been watching X-Factor AU and I really love Mel B, aka Scary Spice, she's like the female Simon!
All I know is she used to cut herself and was on a Disney Show.
I see you don't hold back at all. lmao. But she did a song with We the Kings which was awesome.
Is she even famous?
Obviously.
I just feel like if he wanted a younger audience he should have went with Miley or JB's girl.
Selena Gomez? Yeah right. I can't stand her.

I'm not the biggest fan either, but at least she is a bigger name than Demi.
This Demi girl is hotter tough.
So I guess this is final?

No word on the host yet?

Exactly I'll give you that.

I think this show really needs a female host. Any male is going to be immediately compared to Seacrest, and no one can live up to that. The only reason Carson Daily doesn't have that problem is because we already knew him from TRL.
I'm not so sure that Miley would'nt be a good host. She certainly has an interesting personality. My only fear with her as a host is that it may make the show feel too young, and alienate the older audience. I think Guliana Rancic could make a good host.

I agree. I think they should try having a female host this season, too. Guliana would be a good fit.

As loose as she is it better not happen.

I refuse to click on that lol. I heard of her. I was just saying that she isn't that famous.
Listening to the audio clips of today's audition. Britney & Demi are actually GREAT judges!! They are giving advice, and criticizing!
By the way Britney already had 4 world wide trending topics from audio clips!! haha "I pass" and her song Hold It Against Me. Simon is about to hit ratings gold!!

I like X-Factor better. I watched several of the UK ones online and they were fantastic. Totally different than Idol.

I'll be honest UK X Factor was much better than US X factor (based on 1st season). Hopefully this change of judges makes it much more better, well with both Britney & Demi it will!
The show also has more recognition so more people will audition.
I don't know that Simon or any of these shows will ever have that perfect moment like Susan Boyle's first audition for BGT again, but if they do, it will be with X Factor I think.
I love how Britney taking a break suddenly turned into her storming off the set because someone butchered one of her songs. TMZ is ridiculous.
After seeing her at the FOX upfronts I was kind of nervous that she'd be uncomfortable in front of the cameras, but it doesn't seem like she is. I'm so glad that our girl is back! :D

YES!! I'm happy she's officially back!

"Fact is ... "X Factor" wanted Britney so desperately, she was able to negotiate terms that are "unheard of" -- so say people with direct knowledge of her deal. As one source put it, "Simon is a smart and shrewd businessman who knew Britney could make his show and he was willing to give her just about anything to come on board -- and he did."
So Britney is allowed to walk off any time she wants. And that's just the beginning. Britney can do just about anything she wants ... and get $15 million in the process."
