You people are driven by nothing but passion and emotion.
Realistically, Drew may be better than Marcus, but both Nicole and Paula legitimized their reasons and Drew's charisma just did not reach out to them as Marcus's did.
The show is not entirely about who can "sing" the best, otherwise Astro would have been gone week 1.
But in any case, Chris Rene's only competition just got the boot.
Marcus a terrible singer? Now I heard everything. Maybe Chris but not Marcus, Melanie, Josh, or Rachel and thats a fact. Astro gone week 1? Really now? Here we go again...
Done with this show. I prefer Season 9 Idol to this, never thought I would say that. Can't believe I have to listen to another week of Chris and Marcus. Ouch!
Expecting Josh to win the show, he is very similar to recent Idol winners and thus the most likely to win the show.
In my honest opinion and given the formula of the season, I have to say its crap as well with or without Drew who was just flat-out terrible. Why did she cry? That wasn't the way to handle it. Anyway, I just want to say season 2 better step up the game or this is Fame redux.
Why did she cry? Wow. What a stupid comment.
Why did she cry? Because her dream that she worked so hard to reach was this close to being ripped away from her. Yeah, that's probably why. She handled it the right way, and sang her *** off. She could've thrown a ***** fit, but she didn't. Personally, I like Drew better, but I can see why the judges would keep Marcus. I just so wish we could've seen Drew to do something outside of her comfort zone. I completely agreed with what Simon said about it being his fault.
So does America vote on who stays or do the judges actually have a say? I'm curious...
Somewhat.
Up until last week they decided who was in the bottom 2 and then those 2 would have a sing off and the judges would decide who was best. The past 2 weeks the person with the least amount of votes was sent home and the 2nd and 3rd fewest had to have a sing off with the judges voting on which one goes home.

If it's a normal bottom two then they sing off with Judges voting on they want to stay,If they get a hung Jury then the go to the original votes. If it is a bottom three then then the act with the lowest votes goes home automatically and then they have a sing off with the other two.

Well we all know the problems with popularity contests. The better person isn't always going to win. It's happened too many times. The people that went home tonight were in the bottom, therefore they weren't popular this week. I know Drew was in the talks for favorite among people here, but that's just a handful of people. The others were just more popular and not necessarily the best. At this point, the popularity contest will continue and more than likely the best isn't going to win.
I know I don't watch the show, but I just want to say this is what I think is wrong with reality competitions like this. American Idol has only ever really gotten the real winner a few times out of 10 that was also the most popular. It's just bound to happen that that people will complain if their favorite goes home, it's natural.
The system for this show was used to somewhat stop exactly what you are saying fab. The only reason Dew is home is because Nichole and Paula are bitter *****es.
I could see Nicole and LA not returning next season, they both are no good anyway.
This show isnt like UK. This show focuses way too much on the judges and they found a couple judges that want all the attention to be on them. At least the one in the UK they give actual critiques on the contestants. And even if it isnt the contestant they are mentoring they still tell them they did a good job, the one in the US is way too much of a competition between LA, Nicole and Simon and Drew was a casualty of bitterness.
The X factor lost it's two most popular contestants in one week. It's going to die in the ratings next week. As much as I didn't like Astro he deserved to stay over Chris and Marcus. He was entertaining. Drew should have stayed over everyone but Josh and Melanie. But I think Xfactor is just a stepping stone to those contestants because they'll get big after this where I have my doubt about Marcus and Chris after this. I thought it was so sad to see Drew cry she doesn't know how talented she is. Simon is going to raise hell next week that's all I can say. I thought I liked Paula and Nicole but they based their votes on Biased, Jealousy and I thought it was low. Oh well Nicole is definitely leaving after this season. But yeah I'm done with this show I might catch the finale though.
This show is so much drama, as much as I love Drew, watching Simon having a temper tantrum was worth losing her.
A lot of people are talking about the show including this week's elimination where I work out. They are also saying and thinking that the 3 judges did this simply to **** off Simon. Then again, I don't necessarily think it's true. If only it were that easy.
I thought this was pretty funny, and the faces of the Jackson kids were priceless: they couldn't have looked any more bored.

"I don’t know what will ultimately come of Drew, but it’s a shame she’s just 14, because if she were 23, or even 19, some very smart record producer could turn her into a better version of Jewel"
Ouch. As much as I love Jewel I agree with this right here. Hell if she were older I probably have more respect for Drew. I don't necessarily hate her though, either.

You're entitled to your opinion Mr/Mrs/Ms. Willow Smith. Anyway I don't think it was stupid at all. I just think she should've handled it better no matter how old she was.
Drew should have stayed over everyone but Josh and Melanie. .
Now that's false right there. I see if you said Chris or Marcus based on this week's performance but Josh has been excellent so far. Same with Melanie.
So does America vote on who stays or do the judges actually have a say? I'm curious...
Both. Basically its like the "Judges Save" from American Idol on with The X-Factor it's used every week. Weird, I know.

I think you misinterpreted what I said. I said Drew should have been able to beat Marcus, Chris and Astro maybe even Rachel. But not Josh and Melanie.

Oh got you. I have a habit of sometimes doing that. Damn you, Internetz *shakes fist*
According to the New York Daily News published today and "circulating rumors" it looks as though Astro may eventually be signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label but according to Astro he's keeping mum about it and says "he has yet to ink a record deal".
I know its a little early for this but I wouldn't miss this post for the world. Hahaha.
Also, I apologize for the triple post though they have different dates anyway.
Over all tonight I think it's SADLY This.
1. Chris Rene - Can't believe it he did good. I wish he would stop saying "ah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahhh" in his songs though.
2. Rachel - LOVED nothing on you not hot on Michael Jackson though.
3. Josh Krajcik - Did decent not his best not the worst though.
4. Melanie Amaro - Disappointed. Wish she would have made a club song her own not make a slow song into a club song.
5. Marcus - What is he still doing here?

1. Its called vocalizing. Get over it. I kid, I kid.
2. I think this week was her worse. She messed up the B.O.B song for me. *funny tidbit Lupe Fiasco originally sung it but passed*
3. Yeah it was pretty good. In his second performance he looked mad maniacal.
4. That first perfoormance blew me away. The second song however was downright pathetic.
5. I'm glad he's still there. He tremendously stepped up his game this week.

Lupe should have kept the song. the original Airplanes by Kinetics & One Love sounded more Lupe than B.o.B before they sold the hook to Atlantic Records.
Wait, there was an original Airplanes? No way. Fill me in. I think Lupe is full of it. I'm glad B.O.B took over the song because Lupe's verses and the timing was off.
That did NOT just happen, did it?! I'm beyond done with Nicole...
I completely agree!! Rachel blew Marcus away, and every judge knew that. Nicole is getting paid to be a judge, but when it comes to it, she throws the towel in and says its too hard to judge them. It was beyond ridiculous and I'm so glad the audience booed when they asked for Nicole's comment. Rachel deserved to make the semi finals hands down over Marcus based off tonight's performance.
Why is it that I don't get road rage, I'm not an angry drunk I dont even hhardly get mad at sports. But tonight Marcus getting saved AGAIN over Rachel really angered me. Im out for season 2. Marcus should have been cut at top17.
