Wes was 10-2 in elimination rounds coming into this challenge with his only fair loss being to Cohutta as there was no way Mandi was going to be able to keep up with Evelyn in an exile.
I don't think it's fair to put the blame on Mandi when they lost to Luke and Evelyn. Wes was the one holding them back. Mandi still seemed very fresh. I would blame Wes for that loss to be honest. Then we all saw how he was during the final of Rivals...
I think Wes is a great athlete - but lately he hasn't been showing he can handle the endurance aspect of a final/exile.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Thanks for the update, Molds.
I would be happy for either CT/Diem, or Robin/Mark to pull off the win. Only showmances left that I care for. I think that Cara Maria/Abram are most likely doing well. I hope that Johnny and Camilla are next to go. He is entertaining but I would just like to see the possibly last challenge ever be won by Veterans who have never got the win(esp Robin <3).
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
The last time Abram was in a final was Inferno 3. And Diem/CT's last final was Gauntlet 3. So I don't really want to see Mark, Johnn, and Cara make it to the final.
Abram made it to the final on Cutthroat. Just becuase he didn't finish dosent mean he wasn't there.
Re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Lol, you're playin around. Did you watch this season? Ty was havin problems with Abram in x battle and he admittedly doesn't work out other than some natural routines. Ty is a clown, he's probably the weakest guy in the house. I'd put money on Dunbar before Ty
And yet he smoked them both ------ when it counted. I'm not a big Ty supporter, but to say he is a woman abuser, and CT isn't ---- is just crap!!
For all the years I stood behind that kid, CT was a real let down this season ----- even to align himself with Johnny shows how much his confidence has eroded. The same Johnny that he has been rivals with for so long.
As for the Ty and woman beating allegations - he never once struck any woman in the history of MTV, despite the tricky editing ----- he would be outcast from MTV forever if he did so.
Now that would be a first! (examinations, that is) Casting of the unfit is probably the ideal product for BMP.
I should probably add: I am 99% sure that some of the people on the rumored list are not going to be on this challenge.
Well that....sucks.

That does suck, especially if you are 99% sure one of those people is KA :weep:. If she isn't on this next one I hope she does one in the future!!
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
So does that mean that Theresa is.....I can't even finish. The only good thing about Theresa being there is that Theresa/Camila/Jasmine were pretty um...."Vocal" towards each other when their Rivals fight aired.
I think he is a good competitor, but I don't think he's as good as he claims he is. His ego is his biggest downfall because he tells everyone he's better than them so they give him opportunities to put his money where his mouth is and he can't always rise up to the occasion.
Also, he just bugs me.
The thing is that Wes used to be as good as his ego says he is. It is just that he took a 3 year break after winning The Duel 1 and isn't as good as he was back then. Winning 5 elimination rounds with Casey as his partner and making it to the Final and then winning The Duel 1 in back to back challenges was arguably the most impressive feat because of who his partner was in FM1 and how stacked the field was in Duel 1.

Good find! Should be interesting to see their dynamic on the challenge! Again, pleasantly surprised to see that she agreed to do the challenge, especially knowing (assuming she did, in fact, know) that she would be competing somehow with CT.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Eh Cara Maria hasn't done anything impressive to me other than capability of a pull up. I doubt there will be a mission involving who can do the most pull ups. Cara Maria is also a drama queen, to me she appears average as a competitor. Diem, I believe, could destroy Cara Maria physically.
I could see Wes quiting and juse going home. Not saying he did at all but if it was like the Ruins all over again where he just kept getting sent in i can seem him leaving rather then keep going in. Molds is that a possiblity.
He didn't do that on FM1, I don't think he would just quit just because the game is against him, these people get paid even if they don't win so there's no point in just quitting. He could pull an Evan though and quit because he has to go back home. Or maybe Vinny got kicked off, but maybe it was the girls, but damn I'm really curious about this now since they were the only 2 that came so close apart.
I remember someone posting something about the Gauntlet format being retired, is that really true? this speculated cast sounds like a Gauntlet, or maybe a Ruins 2 with Challengers vs. Champions again

The cast took off from Miami for Rivals, so it could definitely be the departure city this time. Some could also be leaving from LA. It appears that everyone is in route!
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
It's starting to look like Laurel is going to be paired with CT. She hasn't tweeted much recently, her last tweet was this:

That says to me "I'm in a Miami airport and it's completely different from New York!" Maybe I'm looking too deep, but she was also pretty close-mouthed about her Cutthroat stuff and Rivals so I think she's going.
a) they would for sure ask her
b) she would for sure say yes, because she's so obsessed with CT
I think it'll be interesting to watch her, CT and Mandi in the same challenge after Rivals, if only because Laurel is so OBVIOUSLY still into him, and he seems to be barely into her if at all. She talks about him, tweets about him, kept his jersey and auctioned it off... I almost wonder if they did hook up, because most women don't act so crazy about a guy unless they still haven't gotten with him. She's also had all these weird introspective tweets that could have been about him.
The idea of watching her throw herself at him, though pathetic, makes me smile a little.
Also, if KA and Diem aren't on this challenge (likely) I think they'd put him with Laurel.
It would be interesting to see them compete against/with each other, or see her and Cara Maria's friendship tested. It seems like a shallow friendship so I wouldn't be surprised if there was drama there once they're in the competition but not dependent on each other to win. Cara Maria is a real lover, but Laurel seems to only value her friendships as long as they're useful to her (at least on the challenges).
ETA: also, she named him as her "f***" in F/Marry/Kill, which implies she hasn't slept with him already.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I have a slight dilemma. Now I am down with figuring out who will be on the show and even what the concept of the show is like but I don't want to know who gets sent home and when. Obviously, I will be leaving this thread in a few days so I don't get that kind of information but I am worried about twitter.
I am following a handful of people that are supposed to be on this challenge and I am following some people they communicate with. What if one of them just pops up a few days and starts tweeting? I will be spoiled.
What do you guys suggest? Should I simply unfollow all of these people (kind of a pain in the butt and then I will have to re-follow them later).
Is there some kind of mass block I can do on their tweets?
Ugh... not sure what would be best.
I don't know if anything will happen. I saw that clip of CT and CM and their little drama on MTV's site, and I kind of got the impression that CM was probably acting like Abram was all that (she had an "Abram's Army" hat on), and when CT got angry with her, he threw it out there that he could beat Abram up. Abram and CT have gotten along in the past, and I think they might be OK with either other this time, unless something else has happened concerning CM. From Derrick's podcast that had Abram and CM, Abram didn't seem that concerned. He also thinks CM gets too wrapped up in the shows.
Yeah Abram didn't seem too concerned about CT at all. He seemed to not have anything against him, but he does see him a two-bit hustler and that's it. He said CT did the same thing to Coral (I'm guessing on that Gauntlet 3 challenge because I remember Coral being mad at CT and called him a crackhead. He didn't seem to take it seriously. Just CT being CT.
Now I am interested to see how Abram and Wes interact. I could picture them being good friends actually, but with the Cara Maria factor, I can see some drama there. Whatever the case, I just see Abram and Cara Maria fighting anyway since they do all the time on their little youtube videos.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Given the history of throwing in a twist at the ending, I wouldn't bet all my eggs on the couples remaining tied together in the finals. It is probably right, but they could also turn it into an everybody for themselves affair.

Yeah I was annoyed when he aligned himself with that ******, until 2 episodes ago when he wanted to throw in Johnny instead of Paula, made me proud lol probably not for a good reason but still, it showed that he is a ****** and is willing to back stab Johnny to get further and I guess Johnny's friendship doesnt mean much to him, which is nice, everyone should **** on Johnny haha too bad he listened to Diem, it would have been epic if that actually went down. Who is leaving from LA? That would be completely counter productive to have half the cast leave from one side of the country and the rest from the other. It would take twice as much time for one half to get to the final destination.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Hahahaha the first post about Ashley from San Diego: "BMP forgot who she was". That genuinely got one of my hardest laughs in a good time. Ahh too good and so true.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I vote Cara MARIA & Abram win or CT & Diem, or even Mark & Robin, Johnny & Camilla is a bogus pair that never even hooked up on any of these shows, and Emily is likeable but Ty is the opposite of likable.
On a lighter note, this top 5 is VERY impressive, like I think any one of these teams has a fighting chance to take it home, which makes for great competition and television! There isn't one team still there who is a dumbluck team, like most other seasons!

Wes would have won Rivals despite how poor he looked during the Final if their 45 minute lead wasn't cut to 2 minutes after the stand on the rock all night thing. FM2 he did get gassed but part of it was due to editing. He was carrying Mandi's bag as well as his for the first half of the elimination round (you can see him throw down her bag once they reach a puzzle). His mistake was trying to do what he did in FM1 and be a workhorse when he wasn't the same athlete that he was previously.

Too me Wes has lost his edge since FM1 and The Duel, He doesn't have that same fight that he did. That "I'm the best nobody can beat me" attitude. I mean he is still cocky but he just gives up when it gets tough, like on FM2 and the final of Rivals. But on FM 1 when was behind he just carried all the weight and blew past everyone. I just don't think he tries as hard as he used to.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Dang it sucks to see them eliminated :( .
Now it's more than likely Johnny/Camila, CT/Diem, and Ty/Emily in the finals.
I hope it turns out like this:
1.CT/Diem
2.Ty/Emily
3.Johnny/Camila
I wonder if Dustin has the standing with BMP where they'll just give him a slap on the wrist. Sort of like how Johnny can pretty much say whatever he wants and never get reprimanded.

re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I"m not sure why everybody here seems to be negative about Camilla. She's one of the few people I'm looking forward to seeing on this Challenge. On Cutthroat she did a really good job of competing. I see her as one of the better female competitors.
I'm excited Mark is back. He's a beast. Any Mark vs. CT events could be really exciting.
Abram made it to the final on Cutthroat. Just becuase he didn't finish dosent mean he wasn't there.
Ok but he wasn't in the Gauntlet 3, Island, Duel 2, Ruins, and FM2 finals. So I wouldn't mind him being in this final because he's not a regular.
Johnny, however, was in Inferno 3, Island, and Ruins finals. And Mark was in Duel 2 final. So I'd definitely prefer for Abram to make it all the way than those two.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
CT has a terrible social game, that's why he loses. It doesn't matter how much muscle you have, the politics of the game is how you win. Johnny wins because he builds a strong alliance and they map out a plan and stick to it till the end. CT plan is just to eat everyone.
No one wants to align with him in this type of challenge because if he's in the finals your basically fighting for 2nd place at that point. That was the mentality of all the guys on rivals, and most likely now given who is left. It doesn't help either that his partner mops the floor in terms of endurance with the girls who are left.
I forgot who said it in a podcast but they were rambling on how you want to set alliances with strong competitors but people you still know you could beat. That rule doesn't really apply to CT which is why I expect a majority of the house to be against him again
