I doubt it. I know its different nights but it'll most likely be after the 14 episodes of season 5 of Jersey Shore which premiere's January 5th. So I think April 2012 as well.
For as long as I can remember the challenges have been on Wednesday nights within a few weeks of the end of the current real world season. This season should end around mid jan allowing for a mid feb airing of the new challenge.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
CT has a terrible social game, that's why he loses. It doesn't matter how much muscle you have, the politics of the game is how you win. Johnny wins because he builds a strong alliance and they map out a plan and stick to it till the end. CT plan is just to eat everyone.
CT's "terrible social game" hasn't cost him one challenge.
Inferno 1: Mike decided to not go all out and try to win the Life Shield on the final day because he didn't want the pressure of using it to save Coral. Coral won it, throws in David, and she slowed their team down in the final. The Real World could've had a stacked all guy team in the final.
Inferno 2: The Bad *** team was originally split 4 votes to 3 in favor of throwing Jamie into the final Inferno. Abram caved and changed his vote over to the other side and decided to vote with the girls and put Shauvonda in instead. Anybody who saw that challenge knows the Bad *** team would've won hands down if the Good Guys had Shauvonda for the final.
Duel 1: We all know what happened here.
Gauntlet 3: None of the guys on his team wanted anything to do with going up against Eric in a potential gauntlet to get rid of him and the opposing team had the power to prevent CT from going in and taking Eric out himself.
Rivals: He went into the final elimination round because he had to since he and Adam DQ'ed in the last challenge and lost the elimination round because Adam got mixed up on the rules. Again, "terrible social game" had no bearing in his game fate.
The Beast is exactly right with what he just said & that's kind of what I was getting at earlier. These people pick alliances based on who they think can stick around in the game long enough to help them out for the duration of the challenge, but they also side with people who they don't see as a threat to them in the final. If Johnny or Mark had the choice of aligning with each other or with CT, they are going to align with each other all day because I guarantee you Johnny fears going up against CT more than he does Mark and Mark fears going up against CT more than he does Johnny.
Just because Vinny is home and Sarah is not, it doesn't really mean anything. I think it's been a few times that this won't be a pairs challenge. I think it's just a coincidence that Nate and Priscilla are both home, but I could be wrong.
On a related note, good to know that Vinny is still terrible at these things.
lol. I wouldn't be surprised if he got kicked off either for a stupid reason. Trying to put on a tough guy act again.
If those are the people who left, can't say I'm sad about it. Vinny isn't someone I'd miss and I think the Real World San Diego 2 cast is boring. I'm not even keeping up with the show anymore. I'd be most sad if Leroy was going.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I can see why nobody would want to align with CT last time and this time. But also, unlike last season where there were a couple of teams that could take CT in an elimination because his partner, Adam, was physically a weak competitor. This season CT has a physically strong female competitor that wont weigh him down like Adam did last season. I do think Emily is a strong female but I think Diem could give her a run for her money in an elimination, and CT is just far and beyond above Ty. I see things falling like this
4th-Ty/Emily
3rd-Johnny/Camila
2nd-Mark/Robin
1st-CT/Diem
I dont want to get my hopes up but I just dont see any of the teams being able to beat CT/Diem in an elimination or a final. Both are great athletes with lots of endurance and strength. Robin also isnt given enough credit for the athlete that she is. She does pretty well in challenges imho and since she has quit smoking I would imagine she is even in better shape. Camila I think has some scrappiness to her, but as far as endurance and ultimate physical strength, she will be Johnny's weakness.
I doubt that BMP would do another partner challenge (or hope they don't) after doing one last challenge and on Fresh Meat 2.
I mean I don't know how BMP works out their challenges so...

Looks like Tyler is a possibility. (If LA is where they are departing from)
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Yea, I was thinking the other night that the couples thing could be two teams. I could go for that. Just no males vs females or paired couples. I want people to be able to match up with others physically. Female vs Females and Male vs Male.
Wes would have won Rivals despite how poor he looked during the Final if their 45 minute lead wasn't cut to 2 minutes after the stand on the rock all night thing. FM2 he did get gassed but part of it was due to editing. He was carrying Mandi's bag as well as his for the first half of the elimination round (you can see him throw down her bag once they reach a puzzle). His mistake was trying to do what he did in FM1 and be a workhorse when he wasn't the same athlete that he was previously.
...and Brad would have won The Duel 1 if it hadn't come down to a soccer kick. There are a lot of "if's" - but you can't argue the fact that Wes was completely burned out in both the Exile on FM2 and the final on Rivals.
Wes definitely has his strengths - but I don't think a final challenge is one of them. Kenny said it best (shocking). Kenny isn't the best at regular challenges, but once he gets to the final he's a beast. I think Wes may just be the opposite (and it didn't used to be that way - see Fresh Meat 1).
Anyway - back to speculation. Hopefully Wes lost to CT...

Take it as you will.
Not surprised by this. Even on The Duel 2 CT seemed pretty bitter towards her over their breakup complaining about her "career first" declaration. And on the after show, things still seemed bitter. Not surprised he's not going to be nice.
Anyway, terrific work so far. Happy that it's not an individual challenge. Would love a two team Gauntlet/Inferno format. Just because I think a lot of drama goes on with a lot of people on a team.
I'm curious about how little Jasmine will do. She's so tiny. Can you imagine her in a final challenge? Well she'd be easier to carry.

I doubt it unless they make it like Rivals where last place has to go into the elimination round.
Ok but he took a break during Gauntlet 3, Island, Duel 2, Ruins, and FM2. So i wouldn't mind him being in this final because he's not a regular.
Johnny, however, was in Inferno 3, Island, and Ruins' final. And Mark was in Duel 2 final. So i'd definitely prefer for Abram to make it all the way than those two.
Mark isn't a regular either and Abram was in a final more recent than Mark was.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I am surprised that Mark actually went into an elimination round. The only way I would think he went into an elimination round is if he got last place and was automatically sent into one. I hope I am wrong though because I love unexpected twists and Johnny teaming up with CT would be a huge game move.

I agree san diego is extremely boring. Though, I would like to see how Zach would perform because he looks like a beast, unfortunately i don't believe he is on this challenge.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Cast list has been updated with the addition of Emily and Ty, thanks mostly to jeckenrode09.
I will say this two more times before this thread gets locked permanently: DO NOT POST SCREENSHOTS IN THIS THREAD OF PEOPLE POTENTIALLY BEING HOME.
If someone has been added to the spoiler list (checking it before you post should be automatic), do not post screenshots of them now posting from their Android or their iPhone. I don't care, and neither does anyone else who's already checked the spoiler thread, because they already know.
Also, for the love of God, please proofread your posts before hitting the send button. Going through some of yours gives me a headache as I can barely understand what you mean. Responses to others' posts should be UNDER the original post, not above. Posts that simply say "lol" will be deleted.
To help some of you:
Her name is ROBIN, not Robyn
Her name is ANEESA, not Anessa or any other combination of letters I've seen
His name is ABRAM, not Abe
Her name is CARA MARIA, not Cara
Last: any posts talking about Cutthroat, Rivals, Gauntlet 2, etc with absolutely nothing to do with speculation regarding THIS challenge will be deleted, and you will be infracted and/or banned depending on previous infractions. Saying "Well Sarah and Vinny probably lost because in that one challenge on FM2 Vinny did the gleebin and Sarah did the glawbin and they didn't win so that's probably what happened this time" is a completely ridiculous post without knowing the format (another form of annoying speculation). Please try to keep those type of posts to a bare minimum as some of your fellow members have the obnoxious tendency to go off-topic. The moderators should not have to read 50 posts and delete 30 of them.
Sorry for sounding like a posting ****, but I'm sure some of you get annoyed when a new member goes "I don't feel like reading through the speculation, who's gone?" which simply adds to the number of pointless posts in the thread that members after him must go through. We, as a moderation team, are trying to make this thread as easy as possible for you, as members, to navigate through. Please try to help us.
EDIT: To answer one question as to why I personally hate any speculation about a format:
I do have a question that's probably best suited for a moderator. I wasn't a member of the forum during Cutthroat, but it seems like that would have been a tough challenge to figure out in terms of concept. Was the format revealed here before MTV unveiled it? And if so, was it done through deductive reasoning, or did someone eliminated spill the beans?
After trailers helped put together most of the teams, we were able to deduce that the winning team was safe while each losing team sent someone in. We did not know how someone was sent in: that was revealed when MTV said so. So, unless someone from the cast comes to me or anyone else and says "This is exactly what happens" (which, as ridiculous as it sounds, is in actuality completely ridiculous), we won't be finding out the format until MTV launches the website. Therefore, any speculation about a format (such as "w and x hate y and z so they probably sent them in") is completely baseless.
However, it is my fault for naming the thread "wild cast/format speculation". I'll go take care of that now...

I like how you conveniently left out the part where they lost because none of them could figure out the puzzle.
I still say CT will win this one though, provided he is in the finals, despite the criticisms/over-praise some people are giving him.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Well I have to eat my words. The man the legend Mark Long was sent home before a final. I never thought it would happen. It was probably Robin's fault.
Ugh, Adam, Johnny, Cara Maria again. I really hope that tweet doesn't mean they're on the next challenge. Especially not Adam, he's a total bore and pointless as far as competition goes. Cara is just annoying.
Well there's always the possibility that Adam didn't take the test himself, but was just reporting on what 3 of his friends did. It's a bit of a stretch, but possible.
Who would Tyler's partner be though?
Unless they allowed same sex couples as well, it would be interesting to see how they'd fair. I think Laurel and Evelyn would be an interesting wild card.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I don't blame BMP for putting in so much people from B2LV. That season pulled in the best ratings Real World has seen in a while, they're most likely hoping the audience pulled in from that season moves over to the challenges with the addition of the popular cast. :D

re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
I have a slight dilemma. Now I am down with figuring out who will be on the show and even what the concept of the show is like but I don't want to know who gets sent home and when. Obviously, I will be leaving this thread in a few days so I don't get that kind of information but I am worried about twitter.
I am following a handful of people that are supposed to be on this challenge and I am following some people they communicate with. What if one of them just pops up a few days and starts tweeting? I will be spoiled.
What do you guys suggest? Should I simply unfollow all of these people (kind of a pain in the butt and then I will have to re-follow them later).
Is there some kind of mass block I can do on their tweets?
Ugh... not sure what would be best.
I think you can block them and then unblock them but I'd write down their twitter ID's first cause some of them are not easy to recall and if some of them went private after you started following, they may not let you on again. You could always just start a new twitter account to use for others for about 6 weeks.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
To be honest I am upset that Vinny went home early, the highlight of his challenge career was coming in first in the first cutthroat race and being the first pick on the grey team. I really wanted to see him prove himself. I wish other fresh meat II men would be on future challenges. I would like to see how Noore and Pete would do on another challenge I think they are much better than Vinny. Perhaps Jeff as well.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
A big reason why they couldn't get the puzzle is because Coral wouldn't let anybody else help, she shot down everybody's answers, and moved the pieces around by herself without consulting anybody. They also would've got to the puzzle way faster with more time to solve it too if they hadn't had Coral slowing them down. They had to wait for her forever at the station where they had to eat.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
So we have CT & Diem vs Ty & Emily vs Johnny & Camila. If it's long distance I see Camila as an anchor to Johnny. So I would have to go with CT & Diem or Ty & Emily as the favorites to win this season.

I was under the impression that Dunbar was never paid his Cutthroat winnings because of the whole **** thing. If that's in fact the case I'd be surprised if he decided to do another show.

Or people can just read the thread.
I'll update the first post, but it's really not hard to read back. We've already had quite a few repeats today when the first mention was just a few posts before.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
It looks like a nice mix so far. Glad to see Mark, Rachel, and Diem back after their break, and hopefully Robin and Aneesa stick around a lot longer. It'll be interesting to see Wes without Kenny and even though I still don't really like him he grew on me a little bit on Rivals. I would've preferred Casey over Camila and I'm still hoping for Frank and Jill. The only people on the list so far that made me cringe are Dummy Bear and Dustin.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Nope, I am right there with you, Blue! Dunbar can go home asap as far as I'm concerned, though. There's just something about him that I have never cared for even on his season. It seems he doesn't look people directly in the eyes. I'm so thrilled to see some of vets back...Mark, Robin, Anessa, Rachel, Abe, Diem, and CT. Just in case this ends up being the last challenge, I would love to see a vet take it all the way. I'm so looking forward to this challenge and will try my best not to check out the spoilers by our all-knowing MOLDS.
I omitted to include the quote by Blue123, which was post #1236, where he asked if he was the only one rooting for the vets...Got kinda ahead of myself.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Well Mark doesn't do many challenges but I believe this is his 6th challenge and he had been in 5 finals, assuming he makes it on this one. And the only reason he got sent home on BOTS2 is becuase he volunteered to go home. Also, I'm pretty sure he got a cut of the winnings anyway.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
Honestly I don't get how CT and Diem can lose. They're the only team without a weak link. Ty is a joke, he gassed in cutthroat and emily isn't gonna carry him through. Mark is 100 years old, and Robin has no endurance. And finally johnny bananas backpack and camilla who couldn't run a marathon at all is a joke. I can't see the 2 of them losing the final if it is in fact 4 teams.
re: The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion
So i finally get to see Mark in an elimination round, I hope it's a physical one!
Considering that one of the pairs is Girl/Girl, I doubt any of the eliminations are physical. They'll probably be exiles a la Fresh Meat 1 & 2.
