Was he "talking $*** or, from his perspective, simply telling the truth? Was it in dialogue or in a prompted interview setting? Context is very important.
On The Island, the editing made it look like Derrick was supporting Tonya when the vote didn't go her way, but the votes were edited out of sequence to make Derrick look like the good guy when he really wasn't in that instance. Derrick fooled Tonya and BMP tried to fool the viewers.

Like how on Fresh Meat they made it seem like Johanna and Jesse were idiots and didn't vote for Tonya/Johnnie when that's who Danny, Theo, and Tina voted for, when in actuality they were the second team to vote and no one had voted for Tonya yet.

I remember that daily and if that's the **** talking Derrick is referring to then that's a little weak, people have called each other worse things than "dumb" and Derrick never mentioned it, he just says Wes is cocky because lets face it if he said I hate him cause he called me dumb on a daily people will say get over it. My point is... while it may not be that big a deal to me and you, I'm sure Derrick didn't like it a bit. As I'm sure anybody having their name spewed out of someone else's mouth behind their back wouldn't like it, which is what Derrick did to Wes as well.

I'm not giving Derrick a pass whatsoever...what he did/said was complete BS and while I'll still root for Derrick if he's on another Challenge, I will view him differently and not just because of the Wes thing but because of other things he's said on his Podcasts as well.
LOL the comment box is hilarious people are like Wes is my (N word) and that he's close with the "brothers" even though he's pale as **** (haha as if he can help how pale he is), lmao and they even called Kenny racist for the bacon comment and that Evan hates Coral. LOL it's very entertaining. Derrick shouldn't have tweeted so much about all the comments cause now everyone comments and now after every podcast there will be like 100 comments.
Kenny kind of did the same thing with CT on their podcast that Derrick is doing with Wes too, it is kind of cowardly. They run their mouth about people on the shows like CT & Wes who have better stuff to do with their time than listen to the podcasts in the first place, but when they have them on, they're careful with their words and act like suck ups.
What did Derrick do wrong? He was cordial to Wes in order for the sake of having the interview and putting up a podcast, sometimes you have to interview people you aren't buddy buddy with. I never got the sense from listening that Derrick was pretending to be his friend.
Derrick explained it best in the podcast with Sarah from Brooklyn and Adam King, it's not serious, he doesn't hate someone, but as an active participant in these shows, and one who knows pretty much everyone active in the challenges, he is giving what he believes is his objective take on Wes.

Derrick was open to let Brandon bash his buddy from the show Brad for apparently saying one thing to the guy's face, then saying something behind his back, practically agreeing that you shouldn't do that. This came after he bashed Wes for being a lying *******, despite seeming to be fine with Wes on the show prior, especially when Wes said he wanted to hang out with him sometime and gave him props for being good.
The point of reality check is to let the guest speak their mind, it would be wrong for him to hold Brandon up because Brad is his buddy. He at no point with Wes acted like they were friends. if so when? being codrial is a lot different from friendship.

Well he said he wanted to hang out, can't remember the phrase they used, point is yes Derrick was nice to him but you can ask Wes tough questions without arguing because as he said it's not that serious because then at least Wes can explain himself. It just makes him look like a sucker he came on acted nice, gave the host props just to get his interview bashed and his words twisted to people that havn't heard even his podcast yet. No, I mean his original season. I saw parts of his casting tape on the RW: Austin preview where he declared he has the best six pack of any guy he knows (among other things).

I can't comment on his real life, I comment on what I see on this show. And it doesn't even make much of a difference if he acts different in real life, because he still did what he did. And it's not like he was bullying her just for camera time, he did it to hurt her feelings which is something a guy should never do in any situation.

LOL, its funny how people like you say crap like that about Wes, but haven't you realize hardly anyone he's ever had contact with on these shows don't have any hard feelings against him. Compare that to Laurel who in 3 shows have about 20 people who want nothing to do with her.
Since I have to watch the episodes etc online, I'm watching the aftershow atm and he apologized so that's 1 thing..
And Jace89, as I said I can't judge these people outside the shows because I don't know them. I just see them on the challenges and this forum is about the challenges so I gave my opinion of what I thought of him during this episode.
