It's on the same time as Couples Therapy on VH1. I'm not sure if this show is popular or not, or if it gets more viewers than the challenges, but I know I would be watching it if I wasn't so dedicated to the Real World and the Challenges....
There is nothing to debate.
Judging by the state of our country, I'd say there is quite a lot to be debated.
I, for one, hope that the debate does attract attention away from the Challenge. This is a great season, probably the best in years, but I hope that my generation will DVR the Challenge and watch something that actually matters.
I hope the debate gets terrible ratings to show that America is sick of these fake shady politicians.
I agree with this statement, only replace "the debate" with "The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons"
The ratings should be down, if it isn't I think that says a lot about people. (This is not the place to get all political) In addition south park will also have a low rating because of the debate.
I'm new here but I checked out the ratings for the past RW seasons and challenges and I think it's going to be alright this season rating wise. In my area, it's trending on twitter each week like crazy.
Besides, I don't think anything on MTV excluding JS and Teen Mom gets crazy high ratings these days anyway. The Challenges and Real World are like a staple to the network and I know a lot of people who only watch it for those two.

South Park still airs? Gosh every show is fighting for these 10 spots.

THE CHALLENGE - 1.106
0.7 A 18-49
At this pace it looks like the Fresh Meat 2 season is going to have the better ratings then BOTS2  It seems like every week something big interferes with the Challenges. I mean first it was Big Brother finale, then Here Comes Honey Boo whatever finale, and last night the Presidential debate. Hopefully with the Jersey Shore premiere tonight it shows lots of commercials promoting episode four. From the preview episode four does look good and I want the ratings to show for it.
And please tell me nothing big is on TV next Wednesday at 10:00PM :fear:

Nashville premieres next week at 10pm on ABC. It's one of the most anticipated premieres of the fall season.
American Horror Story premieres at 10pm on FX the week after that.

Lol they are so screwed. It's ashame because it is actually a good season.
My rough estimates show that the debate had about 60 million viewers (adding together the initial broadcast numbers + cable numbers + slight adjustment for westcoast viewers). It is always tough to go up against something like that. We will see how it does in the upcoming weeks. I can't fault BMP/MTV for wanting to take a risk with a ton of rookies, but thus far it hasn't been working out.

Yeah, AHS is definitely a problem. Nashville may be.
Tough to use these things as an excuse though. Supernatural still had 1.8M or so last night which is solid if not great for them.
The cast this year just isn't generating enough interest IMO. High risk without any reward thus far.
Well I'm not so sure that .7 is so bad considering the other shows. I don't know when Teen mom is new or not but I saw yesterday that it also got a .7
Debate was murderous in the ratings. Challenge might stack up well compared to MTV's other shows at this time.
I watched the debate last night and caught the last 10 minutes and 11pm rerun. I'm sorry BMP :(.
But oh well, still loving the season regardless. Doesn't deserve low ratings but we know the risks here.
BMP's shows this year have just had NO luck, whatsoever.
St Thomas - had a **** trailer, boring premiere, aired an episode 4th of July, no reruns, no promotion, Olympics, Honey Boo Boo basically ruined any chances that season had.
Now it looks like that's what's happening with this challenge as well.
I'm sure the interest level isn't as bad as it appears to be. I just got around to watching it last night; I'm sure many others take the same approach of tape and watch it later. Sadly that does not translate to ratings points though.

lmao. me too. And yeah I watched the episode from 15 mins-59 mins and it looks like next week is Beth/Tonya part deux aka a remake with Nany and Knight. lol.

Unless you have a special box, you don't factor into the rating anyway
