Well to my knowledge it's a gay guy that's masculine and is into shit that's traditionally associated with men and like fixing cars and watching sports and such. It's a dumb ******* term but it exists.
I don't get it ****. So if your gay you don't like sports or anything of that sort? I agree it's a dumb term ****
its not dumb. Its reality. as much as it pains me to say that. there are other dumb terms to like werk, slay, etc so let's not be picky.
nostalgic.. just stop talking... you are digging yourself into a hole.you want to call it acting masculine.. that's fine. but there is no such thing as "straight acting". so just stop. please.
Roger Ebert don't tell me to stop talking. You need to get your behind out of the woods of Canada and realize that yes there is straight acting gay guys. Tht's just how it is. whether you like it or not.
so what.. because I like watching sports, don't have an effeminate demeanor, and don't have a "femme" appearance, i'm considered "straight acting"? what? lol i ******* hate stupid labels like this. I know plenty of straight ppl that would like things you might consider "girly"... are they "gay acting"? no. You want to say a guy acting masculine, go for it. An effeminate guy, sure. A gay that doesn't fit a stupid made up label would be ideal though.
Yes, Mitchy there are some gay acting straight guys as well like Chrisley the dad from Chrisley knows best. he uses gay terminology like it ain't nothing out the wazoo.
Gay guys acting straight...tuhhh... More like masculine gay guys just like there's feminine straight guys. Your sexuality doesn't define your personality. Smh Nostalgic you're a travesty!

More like thats what your mother said upon your conception. And thanks for reiterating what the **** was already stated....
Keep your decree to yourself cause when i want your opinion I'll give it to you.
I don't get these casting things.. I thought you would make a tape, regardless. How many rounds are there anyway? Six?
Well if you can't make a casting call you can send a tape in but if you advance further in the process regardless they will ask you to make a video to get to know you better. Not sure how many rounds because there is more than one skype interview
Ally from BGC14 went to a casting call for this season. I think she would have originally been good for Real World but not anymore. Bunim Murray gave her a chance on Bad Girls Club and she was a replacement who got kicked out early so I doubt they would waste another opportunity on her.

I'm guessing they don't cast people from other shows?

it's happened before tho. Vi is a good example. do you know anyonelse Witty?
NYC Casting call was "private" but became public quick..long lines, hot/sweaty waiting room, and huge group interviews. The honesty was real, heard stories from infedilty to depression plus saw a great amount of trans people too! I saw a few insta-famous people filling out applications as well. The turn out mustve been unexpected as they didnt have time for any "Blue Screen" interviews yesterday. It was an experience and alot of people talked of how nervous they were..funny seeing as they were auditioning for reality TV. Environment was very uptight and kind of competitive..like New York in general.

It depends, I dont think they will gonwith Ally she was borinh on bgc.
Some people that have done other reality shows before making to real World:
Jonna was on endurance for discovery kid when she was 12 and on an episode of engaged & underage on MTV.
Violetta was on 2 episodes of breaking amish on TLC.
Nicole Z was on an episode of say yes to the dress with her sisters and mom.
Dione was on a documentary, I dont think that counts lol

I was there too haha. There was an emphasis on sexuality and if anyone was gay/bi. For example someone would be talking about their girlfriend and the producer would just randomly blurt out "so guys too or only girls?". Every single person was questioned about their sexuality in some way.
I know I've seen Violetta on TV before and about Ally doing the RW, I don't think the producers would waste they time on her I wouldn't say she was boring but she's definitely not confrontational and she look like barbie princess wanna be. #Alittleharsh

Most people are either getting invited to the casting call or receiving Skype interviews. A few have been asked to make casting tapes.

I think this is the process...
1. Short Application
2. Long Application
3. Casting Call or Initial Skype Interview
4. Skype Interview(s)
5. Send in Casting Tape
6. Finals in LA
After all the casting calls they have to go through the online applicants and then they begin to narrow it down.
Also bring into consideration that some people are scouted so not everyone has the exact same process or go through every step.
Woooooh didn't mean to spark a huge debate , I simply meant masculine by straight-acting but couldn't find the word , my bad if I offended anybody.
Well of course Shane wasn't the only example.
Debating whether to continue with this, pursue the Big Brother recruitment, or wait for the next Survivor cycle.
You seem to be really passionate about Survivor so go with that!
.
Survivor. Don't subject yourself to the real world skince they mostly recruit. lol.
zzzz

There have been exceptions for others shows by Bunim Murray in the past but they really want people who haven't been on TV before.

Do all 3. Make the casting directors think it's a high demand for you on all 3. It'll make each one want you a little more
I am expecting an "IG famous" or "internet famous" person to make the cast this season. Its a trend that a lot of reality tvs are following now days.
