You can tell all folks know is these **** reality shows & haven't learned SHIT outside of whatever curriculum they used for their now mostly useless degrees (outside of essential workers who needed it) & haven't bothered to research or question things outside of the Tell-Lies-to-your-Vision box that millions have in their house; programming their minds daily.
Not only is Blackface a thing in the UK, it's pretty much embedded in European culture with Sinterklaas & "Black Pete", The Morris Dancers, etc. now whether they're doing it as a racial thing or whether they're "paying homage" to my Moorish ancestors; the fact is that Georgia was old enough & definitely aware enough to know what she was doing. She would've been better off just explaining it all instead of playing dumb & being a punk; she was aware of the practice just as a lot of UK Caucasian population (extending to the rest of Europe) are aware.
Ok but on the flip side of the coin, does Georgia really strike you as educated or aware? lol
It's prevalent enough in Europe to where I know she's seen atleast a couple other people do this same thing or she's seen the various statues, pictures, etc. I remember one of those English princesses came under fire for wearing a Blackamoor brooch to Queen Elizardbeth's Christmas dinner a few years back. Now whether it was on a racist tip or she was paying homage, who knows but saying all that to say Blackface & blackface depictions are definitely known & visible in the UK; possibly even moreso than here. There's some other UK/European festival where a bunch of people all don Blackface but it's not coming to me right now.
Idk about Europe but in some Latin America countries like Colombia they still do it in some "Carnavales" in some city over there. I was shook when they had people with black face last year in the news to promote the "carnavales" starting like nothing when I was in a vacay there :
Despite having one of the largest African diaspora in LATAM, Colombia has some hella racist traditions. Not excusable at all. The BLM movement has picked up in Colombia, especially after a black male was killed by a cop, I believe in Medellin.
Bananas and Vince mocking Cheynne 100% had racial undertones.
i Just rewatched that scène on yt ..iT is even worde than i Remembered
Someone is really doing a 180° from the energy they had yesterday.
lol not really, yesterday i already told you about chey and Bananas ...i always said there is a difference of being ignorant Or insensistive and being racist. Bananas knew what he was doing and hè Has a history. Not only with racism but also with women

"They call America "sensitive" when it comes to race issues, when in reality, they need to be more sensitive. UK is like stepping back in a time machine for the US in regards to racism."
I do feel this is spot on, I lived in a northern europe for years as well as visited England among other European countries and what most Americans would find inappropriate did not seem to be the case. The main, exposed racism (and xenophobia) that I saw on the news and in person was against current migrants/immigrants/refugees. What I did see in somewhat of a collective stand against was really only about hitler/nazi. So like with Bear, Theo, Rogan, Georgia they all have had something come to light and by no means am I defending them in any way, they are still a product of the environment and if that environment isn't conducive to ending inappropriate and insensitive behavior/mindset/perspectives, then they wouldn't know any better, as ignorant/ill educated as that may be. But currently there does seem to be an acknowledgment that the fundamental thinking needs to change, it is a start and a much needed step in the right direction.

agree with all of this.. and colonialism is baked into the dna of the uk they have race issues just as deep and historic as the usa
They shouldn't ban anyone for anything in the past. U put ur foot down here and going forward. Ppl grow n change enough w the digging up ppls past and trying to get ppl in trouble. This is like a middle school in here

How? I'm not arguing it's not, just curious cause I thought they were just saying she was irrelevant and boring.
They were giving her a stereotypical black girl name. Just rewatch the clip, she literally talks about it.
Hmm...the only 3 Chantel's I know are white girls. I've never met a black Chantel so I guess I didn't put it together that it was offensive.
They proceed to also call her Simone
This. And when she was defending herself and speaking up they refered to her as Simone "trying to get camera time" or something.
Sarah just sitting there and laughing really triggered me though that season. Off topic but I felt zero sympathy for her when the money was stolen because she has always stood by john's side throughout all of the bullying since ruins... until it affected her pocket book.

i was working a flight to Amsterdam around Christmas time and my lead warned me about Sinterklass & Black Pete. I was shocked that was even a thing over there. Never saw it in action thankfully but yikes.
The Bananas/Vince thing was racist because they were giving her a sterotypical black name. She also stated to them many times they need to stop and that it is not right to call her by a steriotypical black name yet they still kept on doing it.
Plus in regards to bananas how many times has he told Nany, Camilia, other minorities (Especailly Latinia/south american) that they are just using him in hopes to get a green card. He implies that if you are latina or and other race your not actually an american.

I didn't realize that was a stereotypical black girl name, I've only met white girls named Chantel. But if she explained that to him and he continued that is messed up especially because she is so unproblematic.
The latina thing was pre-Trump wasn't it. I think it was a joke and pretty innocent and they never seemed to mind. I don't think we have to be so pc that we can't make jokes. However, with todays climate and Trumps actions I don't think it would be appropriate.

They definitely called her more than just Chantel if I remember correctly
what else? I'm sure it was edited out to protect the golden boy
It wouldn't surprise me. No idea why they protect him so much. He doesn't even add that much.
Chavaun and Simone
Anyone know who Coral's talking about here? We know Kenny and Evan and Camila are probably shadow banned. Is there anyone else that's been rumored?

Bananas has to be next......
Bananas should be next, but I seriously doubt MTV has the balls to do it.
Nah, he'll take a season off till things cool down then be right back. In the mean time his and Wes paycheck better be going to Coral!
We actually even called it racist back when the episode first aired on here, let me find the thread.
And on top of that he's not even a needle mover so I 'm not understanding why he's so ******* important to them.
So apparently MTV met with Cory and Jordan to discuss their future with the show.. any truth to that?
Agreed..
