Hold on a minute I just had a thought.
If there was a problem with only one person on the Sydney cast and this challenge is apparently pairs, why is it that all 4 people had to go home? Wouldn't it have made more sense to just bring in one more pair and have it be some kind of wild card team? Or is it still possible that there are teams of four that rotate?
No, and not exactly.
While I believe BMP had a few select few backups for several teams, they didn't have the necessary gender backup for all teams (including Sydney), based on the social media activity the month before the challenge of a wider circle of past cast members. So, think of FM as your "wild card" team. As for just bringing in one more pair as an alternative, I think we'll see the pairs being formed by more than one process and possibly changing as the result of natural selection vs. dominant selection as the game progresses and as circumstances change. I also think the season/team dynamic must play an important role in that natural selection vs. "dominant" selection activity which might explain the early Alton/Nany departure, since I can't see how Trishelle and Alton would have favored that pairing on their own. The same may be true for the FM situation, though I'm guessing that they may have really only had 3/4 of a capable team.
Perhaps if whatever misfortune befell Sydney had happened with SD 2, then perhaps ready replacements could have come from SD 1. I've heard talk that some people from that season did receive availability calls. In a laughable stretch, I suppose one could also kluge LA and Hollywood into the same team. That might actually have been fun to watch.
I am actually more surprised by the ones who tweet them...for example Trishelle, Lacey and Sam....(I am less surprised by Laura, Trey and Nany, bc I follow them on Instagram and see the "lovefest" they engage in lol...
But I am more and more certain that Austin, FM and St.Thomas had an alliance .... with LV thrown into it...
let's take this for example..

If they did, then it wasn't the best from the looks of the boot list posted by molds.

Obviously,lol... but at the same time it's kinda a chain reaction...with Austin leaving first and second, they already lost (probably) very important votes.
Edit: Did you already recieve your invitation to Zach's seemingly impending nuptials? lol

haha yeah. And I think SD, NO and Cancun may have had an alliance. Brooklyn may have been in the middle.

Absolutely. The amount of sucking up NOLA is doing leaves no room for other interpretation.
I'm not sure but for some reason I'm really starting to think Jonna and Derek might've won.
I wouldn't be surprised Joanna was on season 1 of Endurance, which was like a survivor for 15 year olds for kids and she won so it would make sense and I wouldn't doubt it.

That was 10 years ago! Since then she appeared on a Challenge...and she hadn't showcased any really impressing qualities, well besides her puzzle-solving skills. But let's face it, shacking up with Thor alone would have gotten her far, but who knows, maybe puzzles were an important part of the finals. Otherwise I just don't see them having a shot at either SD team...

I'm actually wierded out by all this lovey talk to Wes, especially after Camilla was like screaming in his face on the last challenge and it's not like Wes/Cara Maria were ever friends or Austin cast and Brandon minus Melinda. Maybe they knew each other from before so they decided to try and stick together. I'm not sure about how good the drama will be this season since they all seem to love each other. Wonder if Cara/Camilla made up too.

I think you're selling Jonna short on Rivals. She did prove herself to be a worthy competitor because she and Jasmine never came in last place in any of the challenges and did win a Jungle. The fact they were even sent into the last Jungle against Laurel & Cara Maria was because of their rookie status and that Jungle Blast-Off was a huge mismatch.

They came in last three times (all three on guy missions).

They also came second to last on almost every single other mission that they didn't get last in.

Actually, they did tweet each other during Exes, and Camila did say that he is a really decent guy but his challenge persona is unnerving. And as for Camila and Cara Maria making up, I don't think so TBH. Cara Maria seemed to have been a bit of an outsider (or at least didn't grow closer together to anyone). I also believe that one of the reasons why this team didn't get that far was that Camila wasn't too hot about having to drag Cara Maria around the whole challenge, and I feel like Camila is the kind to hold grudges. Plus they have never been that close. However I really don't believe it was really brought up, they probably just ignored each other...

Exactly my point. She is smart, I'll give her that, and she looks like she could be a good runner (she is really thin and tall), but strength wise she was probably one of the weeker challengers. She is pretty much a smarter, taller version of Jasmine, but with an attitude that can really rub you the wrong way.
Anyone catch this little Gem?

sounds a little cryptic, dont you think?

Lol not really. Jonna listed the things that make her "happy"--- and Zach obviously added something that all of us had already been assuming, that they had the power to run this game. Can't say I'd be surprised if it's Zach and Sam who won...
Yeah I've been thinking Zach to be the winner, then I was leaning more towards Jonna and Derek. Does kind of seem like CJ was the one eliminated with Jasmine and it seems that however the finals or eliminations worked, Zach and Sam were paired up at some point.
I'm still betting Jonna and Derek won, if not, Zach and Sam. Doesn't seem like many more spoilers will be revealed, bummer :(
And despite what everybody else thinks, I'd still say Jonna is one of the strongest girls there. Believe me, it's tough to say that because there isn't much to back it up, but I think she's the smartest girl there and her drive to win is probably greater than everyone else's. And I understand Endurance was 10 years ago, but still, you don't just lose athletic ability over time and if you do, it takes a serious form of physical meltdown to do so. For her age, she was a strong girl, and seeing her on Rivals I still thought she had the potential to be a strong female. In the elimination against Laurel and Cara Maria (which I still think is ridiculous that the producers chose that ONE Jungle to repeat, they gave Laurel and CM that win) you can see Jonna holding off Laurel for a bit, obviously not much cause Laurel is a beast, but still, it wasn't a one and done thing. Even Laurel and CM said that Jonna and Jasmine were tough, I really wouldn't call Jonna weak. Jasmine, yeah she's tiny, and I remember on her season she was afraid to jump from a rock into water because she is afraid of heights and water, she still competes and never backs out. I would take Jasmine over plenty of the other useless girls on the challenges for the simple fact that she will actually compete with heart and dignity and not back out.
I've been thinking about the format though. What if they competed in groups of 4, two people from both losing teams goes into the elimination round, and the people who win go with the other 2 and make a new group of 4. For the final, it's the first two pairs that cross the finish line win. Maybe that's why Zach mentioned all 4 of them as winners. Honestly we wont know until it airs.
Hmmm, I'm starting to think there was some sort of "rotating" thing going on. Like the pairs were being rotated in teams of 4. Idk I can't really explain it.
Zach seems so obnoxious and cocky by these tweets. I'm over it.
One might thing that the current ratings would suggest he find a little humility. No matter how he may appear on the next challenge, the fan base (what little remains for this former dynasty) will have solidified their impressions of him from RW. On second thought, perhaps a LOT of humility is in order...

It makes sense really... Zach couldn't cut it as a professional athlete so he derives his self worth from doing these challenges and presumably dominating people who are much smaller than him.
I mean it's pretty ridiculous when guys like Derrick (who displays a ton of humility in my opinion) call the Challenges "America's fifth sport", because if it were open to the general public none of the cast would even be competitive.

Don't be so sure about that!
I mean not taking away to whoever won or even made it far in the game, but really it was a big free for all with very little veterans. Let's see how these kids play when the "Big Dogs' have control or are in large numbers.

I'm hoping the days of those "big dogs" are over and now they're trying to usher in a whole new cast of regulars for however long the challenges last. Hopefully this cast doesn't disappoint and we can finally be rid of most of the people who have controlled the game the past 8 seasons or so.

The big dogs may be out numbered by the newbies! I could see the newbies taking out the big dogs!
