Some people may have missed this, but it is made clear in Diem's current People.com column. Diem is not a 2X cancer survivor, she is a one time cancer survivor whose 2nd experience with cancer is ongoing. She was not cured by the additional surgery, radiation and Chemo. Her cancer is "under control" which means that the treatments have stopped the progress of the disease. I would hope that this understanding will place some of Diem's comment (and your viewing response) into a better context.
This is why I was so happy to see Diem conquer her fears tonight and work to live for today instead of worrying about the cancer getting stronger full force. I was inspired by the ending of the episode, how the other cast members were supportive of her and celebrating her. I thought it was really cool. I know there are probably disagreements on the board about how Diem is with game play and the CT relationship, but putting that all aside, you have to admit, that anyone who has the fortitude to go on a reality television challenge show only a short time after finishing chemo has an incredible amount of courage and it's a great example for other people going through the same thing as Diem that if she can do it, they can do it too! It may sound corny and like an afternoon special message but it's a true message and it's a good one to get out there.
I have tons of respect for Diem for being a cancer survivor, my mom is cancer survivor too, so I see Diem as a positive role model for people who have had to fight the disease and their families, but I don't like how she plays the game in these Challenges. She needs to lose her sense of entitlement. Being a vet doesn't make you exempt from receiving votes for elimination, especially when the team wanting to send you home is the same team you keep telling everyone to vote for.
I don't think Diem was so much upset about possibly being voted in as perhaps the fact that she felt another girl was talking mean about her behind her back. She probably cares a little bit too much about what people think of her and there are a lot of people who are like that...I mean especially women can be like that (care too much about what people think of them). We all have our self esteem issues. If anything she probably does need to develop thicker skin because girls talking about one another is common place for these MTV challenges on TV and, let's face it, in real life too. She needs to let it roll off her back but I can see how after just finishing up chemo and the emotions that go along with that, how she might be on more of a hair trigger emotionally and not be able to let stuff roll off her back as much. Diem deep down is a sensitive girl (although strong too) and she probably hated that she was talked about in a negative way, not just that she could be voted in. It's not like I know Diem personally but just my opinion. Also I think Diem wants to stay for an extra reason than other people. I think she really feels she needs the challenges mentally after having just gone through chemo. You can argue and say that other people need the challenge mentally as well and that would most likely be a valid point and obviously Diem should be treated the same as others, but I can understand where her emotions are at. Well let me take that back, I can't exactly understand it because I have never had cancer before, but let's just say I think I can empathize with her and I think I might even have some of the same challenges if I were her, going through the cancer at such a young age. But I think she does have a tremendous amount of courage and she does a great job showing people that you can get back to life after cancer and you can do physical things and you don't have to wither up into a ball and not go outside of your house.

She has tons of respect from me in that regard. There's just certain things she's done on the show this season that have rubbed me the wrong way. If you're right that Diem's reasoning for being upset with Cooke is because she was talking about her behind her back then I'm sorry to say Diem is being a hypocrite. Diem was talking about one of the girls behind their back too (well in this case she was "rapping" about Nany being a ****). I think Diem seems like a sweetheart in real life, but in this particular situation she doesn't have my support. It's rather shady to get upset about one of the girls being "mean" to you when you're calling one of the other girls a **** behind her back for flirting with your ex.

I can't really see Diem rapping anyway or even grabbing a pencil and paper to write something down in the club, like take a dance break to do that, LOL! Perhaps it was just a little rhyme she made up or something....either way if she did do that, obviously that's not cool but my point is she has not been asked about this in an interview to get her take on it. I believe other cast members have just commented on it but not Diem. Also it is my understanding from interviews with some of the guys on the show that more than one girl hooked up with CT for a vote or maybe not for a vote but just because they wanted to and so if Diem was thinking some of the girls were acting ****** I can understand why. Of course I have no idea if Nany was one of the girls that CT slept with on the show, it could have been other girls so I guess if Diem called Nany a **** she could have been wrong about that. Who knows, maybe Nany wasn't one of the girls sleeping around for votes. Could have just been Anastasia and a few others. I just feel Diem making up a rap about a girl in a club (which I agree isn't cool if she did do that) is probably not as offensive to me as all the girls who were having *** with guys no problem for votes.
Too many walls of text. just....too..many...
Maybe nany is seeing what diem thinks of her and how she lied and doesnt want to act all buddy buddy on twitter if they really arent friends.. I respect that more actually.. But nany hasnt seen ep yet either so who knows so her twitter says..i mean isnt it ironic she made a rap about the girl dancing with ct so she obv doesnt like seein him w other girls but i dont blame her its like for any ex not saying its ct/diem I think diem came to win this season no matter what i mean she has a big alliance of guys and girls , people already dont want to vote for her bc of her hardships, and i think shes showing her game side more so than other seasons where maybe editing didnt show her doin that .. So maybe she has been getting good edits and did it in past like wes/johnny as in "playing the game" ..im not saying anything is wrong with makin moves and playing the game but she clearly does it too is all i meant and in order to play the game u have to go after people and not play in middle Jemmye saying knight starts drama is ridiculous when she has been stirring things up everywhere
Diem did make up a rap about Nany and did try to apologize to her for it the next day (which wasn't shown on camera) but she had none of it. They aren't on good terms to this day. She thinks Diem is a c**t.

The discussion/spoilers thread?
Well considering Chris just took her out to dinner this past Saturday, I'd say those feelings of animosity are still pretty recent.
Well considering Chris just took her out to dinner this past Saturday, I'd say those feelings of animosity are still pretty recent.
Her, as in...? Nany? That still doesn't really answer what I was asking, but that's fine.
Yes Nany. The show naturally came up & he said Nany felt Diem was a two-faced c-word.
How come Nany tweeted Diem recently then and said "no bad blood....rivals 3." https://twitter.com/NanyMTV - first follow Nany, then scroll down to August 1st time period and you should see it. It's really sad that people like to just make things up here.
Ha 90% of the interactions you see with castmembers on Twitter with them kissing each other's ***** is complete bull****, that is one thing Frank was actually spot on about when it comes to these people.
Ha 90% of the interactions you see with castmembers on Twitter with them kissing each other's ***** is complete bull****, that is one thing Frank was actually spot on about when it comes to these people.
If that's true, then Nany's being just as two-faced as she says Diem is.
Check your PM's, all the truth you need to know about the situation will be there.
Did other incidents to down between Diem and Nany that didn't air or could air in the future? I feel like being that ****** at someone for a "rap" that she made up when she was drunk is a little much. That, or Nany is really good at holding grudges.
I don't think Nany hates or has any ill will towards Diem, she's just not somebody that she'd gravitate toward to forge a friendship with whether it be on the show or in real life. Some people's personalities just don't click, it's that simple really. I just think her overall impression of Diem, both from firsthand experiences from living with her for several weeks and by what she heard from other people, is that she's a snobbish, entitled brat.
On another note, did anyone else notice Emily was wearing her helmet backwards during the challenge?
Yup. Right after Paula stated how intelligent a team they were. :)
Even back on her very first challenge, Diem was incredulous that her name be brought up for elimination. I don't know if it has to do with her thinking cancer should buy her immunity or just that she believes that she is a stellar competitor, but I cannot recall a time when Diem stepped up like a man to go into elimination. She always ****** & moans. To quote Tina's awesome line from Fresh Meat: "You got a lotta nerve, ******."
Check your PM's, all the truth you need to know about the situation will be there.
Can you send it to me to pls?
I don't think it's necessary. Just felt like I had to prove to one doubter that all the happy love, joy joy **** on Twitter is for show with these people, that's all.
It's always wise to be circumspect about what one reads on the Internet.
Jordan moves quick on these vet girls! But dude, really? Guys who call themselves mysterious are just as ridiculous as girls who say "I don't get along with girls" (Cooke) or who say "I like jerks" (Ana). The daily mission made no sense to me, to be honest. **** Ty reminds me of a suave 90's r'n'b singer with his black jacket open (when he's talking to Cooke) Jasmine looked gorgeous with that hairstyle, my God. Glad Jemmye appears so over Knight when he still seems to have feelings for her. Maybe next time he'll think before he cheaaats... (key words: appear and seem to) Diem looks so much better without her wigs/hats but it's not about what we like... if she feels more comfortable with them on, then good for her. And good that she's a positive role model for cancer fighters and survivors. It may seem like BMP is shoving her story down our throats, but I think talking about cancer is more important to talking about who slept with whom, tbh. On another note I'm starting to remember why I found her edits so irritating in the past (on Fresh Meat, the Duel, & the Duel 2, notably). I guess I just have something against the America's Sweetheart types, whether it's fake or not. What BMP pulled at the elimination round -_-"
"I don't get along with girls" (Cooke)
Most girls don't get along with other girls--especially behind their backs. Cooke's just honest
Most girls don't get along with other girls--especially behind their backs. Cooke's just honest
She is anything but honest, and she will soon be called out for it. Behind the scenes, she is actively trying to get people to be silent on what is to come. I don't think it's going to work.
I don't think girls in general have a hard time getting along with other girls. But if you're someone like Cooke who is "anything but honest" (V1man) and "uses her body as a tool" (can't remember who that quote is from on here), then you're not going to be respected by anyone. She also seems a little bit too attention-seeking for my taste.
Most girls don't get along with other girls--especially behind their backs. Cooke's just honest
It's usually the girls who are very catty and dishonest who can't get a long with other girls. I've never had a problem forming friendships with other girls and keeping those friendships. Most of my friends are females. Cooke's problem is girls see her as a man-stealer. That's why none of her female roommates liked her during her Real World season. It wouldn't surprise me if whatever drama that occurred on this Challenge that she wants to keep secret involved a guy. No girl wants to be friends with a woman who takes pride in hooking up with taken men.
I don't think girls in general have a hard time getting along with other girls.
We simply disagree
Hey, I can live with that.
